Dell Computer Running Vista Unable To Access Network?
Nov 19, 2012I can't access anything on the network. The computer is a Dell running Windows Vista Home Premium. All attempts to access the network fail (ping, local shares, http) and other machines cannot access this one. Network & Sharing Center shows a fault between the Home Network and the internet, however I am unable to Ping or be Pinged by other computers on the Home Network. Other machines on the network are working fine both wired and wireless, although the machine in question is wired only (no wireless NIC).
The following items have been attempted, some many times, in no particular order, all producing no change in symptoms (not a complete list).
Network & Sharing diagnose & repair/reset NIC card.
Cold boot.
Last known good.
Safe mode with networking support.
Disable/stop all non-essential services & applications including firewall and antivirus.
Upgrade network drivers.

New Computer Is Running Really Slow On Internet
Jan 15, 2012I bought a sony vaio I3 2.1 ghz 4mb ram laptop yesterday, and it has a very unstable wireless internet connection. The internet might be super slow at first, then drop entirely to where it says "you are not connected to the internet," then after not changing anything it will have a normal connection speed for a few minutes before repeating this cycle again. I have a macbook pro that I've had for two years connected to my wireless internet, and it has never had a problem. Even now it runs as usual on the wireless internet. I also have two ps3s that are working fine on the wireless, so I know it's not the router or signal.

Jul 17, 2012I recently built a new custom computer for a friend, all top of the line parts.However, when I attempted to set up the internet connection, I had loads of trouble getting it to even connect to the internet. I finally got it to connect to the internet, but it runs extremely slow, and any type of file you try to download is just as creepily slow, to the point where it basically doesnt work. the wireless adapter being used is a 300mbps, and I'm not sure what the router is, but on another computer in the same house the internet works completely fine.

Dec 24, 2012I was online then all of a sudden i got disconnected and now it won't show any network available. My other laptop and xboxes are online just fine, so I know then it's an issue with my one laptop. But I don't know how to fix it. No networks are found at all and internet only works when it's wired. I have a HP laptop running windows 7.How do I get my network to show up so I can have wirless internet again? Someone thought maybe new drivers but no clue what I really need to download. Computer Randomly Disconnects From Modem But Modem Is Still Running
Jul 5, 2012my computer randomly disconnects from my modem and will not reconnect until I restart my computer (do not need to restart modem). When I check the modem, it always is still running. The lights on the modem do the exact same thing whether the internet is working or not. The disconnection is entirely random. Sometimes it will disconnect immediately, sometimes it will take up to a few hours. I do not have a router hooked up to the modem, and the only other thing the modem is hooked up to is our tv. But even when the tv box is off, we still randomly disconnect.

Home Network :: Add Printers To Local Wireless Network Without Sharing From Computer
Mar 3, 2012I have a home network running all Mac computers (though can run Windows VM if necessary) and a pair of USB printers. The wireless router and cable modem are in one room, but the printers are in another. I'd like to find the most practical way to add the printers to the local wireless network without sharing them from a computer. I've tried that for a while, but don't want to leave a laptop connected 24/7 just to enable wireless printing (rather defeats the purpose of a portable computer). I don't have any wired network lines in the home, and am not excited by the idea of running any cables.
