Computer Is Not Detected On PS3?
Jan 16, 2012I stream movies from my computer to my PS3On my playstation it shows Windows Media Player from two seperate computers on the network but not mine.So it is an issue with my particular computer/setting and not necessarily the router or the PS3 I obviously tried the program I always use (Vuze) which did not work, and then I downloaded PS3 Media Server and that did not work.The programs do not recognize my PS3 and vice versa I use Symantec Endpoint as my Virus Protection and turned it off, so i believe this is not the issue....but im still skeptical of it due to that is the only thing that has changed since it last work (I reinstalled it)

Apr 6, 2011I have a an HP Pavilion dv6000t notebook running Windows Vista.I have a wireless router at home and connect to the wireless signal using both this computer and my other computer that I use for work. Yesterday, out of the blue, my laptop stopped connecting to my home wireless signal.It detects the signal, but when I click on it to connect (something I shouldn't have to do, as it is configured to connect automatically), I get a message saying that it couldn't connect and suggests that the signal strength is low.I know that the signal strength is fine as I am connected just fine on my work computer.I can plug my laptop into the router using a cable and it connects just fine that way, so the only problem is with the wireless signal. I have restarted the computer, modem, and router, to no avail.

Mar 24, 2011I recently upgraded my computer (not laptop) from Windows XP to Windows 7-32 bit. I redownloaded and installed Network Magic, Linksys Wireless Manager and my WUSB600N adapter properly (I hope). Now everything was working fine, I was able to get onto my network through the adapter but today I noticed that the Linksys Wireless Manager seemed to not connect to my network, instead my computer some how did it without the wireless manager. Now when I tried to connect to a network through the Wireless Manager it said Error: 211 and said My Adapter may not be installed properly and told me to remove the adapter and attach it back after 20 seconds. I tried that but again my computer connected to the network STILL through the computers own manager not through the Linksys Wireless Manager. That was still saying Error 211. So the problem really is that the Linksys Wireless Manager wont detect my adapter but my computer is still able to detect it and connect to my network.

Jun 19, 2012I have two computers. In my first computer Linux operating system its a domain controller and in my second computer server 2003 operating system. In server 2003 I have my oracle database back end. The problem is that oracle is two slow and users are very disturbed it means I have installed front end of oracle in my clients users of domain. Now I am facing the issue of slow down of oracle. It will take a long time to perform a little activity. I have already gave heat and Greece to its processor, but it doesn't work. What should I do?

Jan 4, 2012Put bluntly, my laptop will not connect to any ftp site/server via any of the following methods:Command Line Software FTP Clients (Filezilla and other such programs) Windows Explorer (window) Browsers
However, if I try to use a WEB-BASED client, I am able to connect without a problem. What's stranger, if I try to connect to the same server on a different computer using the same wireless network (I'm running on Wifi), that computer has not problem connecting to the FTP server via all the methods mentioned above. So that should at least eliminate the wireless network itself from the list of possibilities.
And to the best of my knowledge it has nothing to do with the firewall as I've made every possible setting tweak to allow ftp connection in and out - I've even turned off the firewall and antivirus with no luck.
Which is why I have reason to believe it has to do with my laptop itself.

Jul 18, 2012last week I installed a new router (2911) in my network.We had to create two different VLANs for the new setup to work as wanted.I have a Windows 2008 R2 which is a Domain Controller for Active Directory on the ip address 192.168.0.195.That server (HP DL180 G6) has two NICs. One has the above IP address and the other one has 192.168.0.199.
On the other VLAN, I have a server, running the same OS, that I want to re-join, as it formerly was, the AD on the first server (192.168.0.195). This server has the new IP address 192.168.10.194.All these are connected to a Cisco switch SG 200-50 Gigabit Smart Switch. That one is connected to a Cisco 2911 router.
The problem is that, once the old 192.168.0.194 got to be 192.168.10.194, the 192.168.0.195 can't ping it anymore... At least not all the time... Sometime it works, sometimes not... Neither can't the 10.194 ping the 0.195 all the time. When one way works the other one doesn't... When one pings the other one successfully, the other one can't...

My normal network is 10.20.0.0/16 sub-netted down into /24's for each vlan.Recently I added a new VLAN with a 172.16.0.0/16 subnet. I plan to use this vlan for testing purposes. I updated NAT on the router to allow the 172.16.0.0/16 range to be NATTED.From the router I can ping anything on the 172. 16.0. 0/16 range and from a test machine in the 172.16.0.0/16 I can ping all of the 10.20.0.0/16 addresses including the router.My problem is I can not ping out onto the Internet from a 172.16.0.0/16 computer.I have checked and so far I have not been able to find any policies on the firewall saying traffic must be sourced from the 10.20.0.0/16.

Jul 6, 2012Whenever my sister uses her laptop it makes the routers ping really unstable. It usually lies between 200-1000 when she uses the laptop. When she turns it off the ping remains at 21. Our internet is 8mbps/0.7mbps. I have tried other laptops and had no problems, but her laptop and her general use makes it impossible to play an online game without lagg. She doesn't download anything, just plays some flash/java games, chats and webcam etc. I just can't understand why the ping becomes so unstable when she uses her laptop.What can I do to make the ping more stable? Any software I can install to limit how much ping she uses or something? Something I can buy to split the line between us or anything like that? Software that checks what she is doing that makes the ping unstable? She just had a few programs and chrome up and still ping was unstable. None of the other laptops in the house behaves this way nor any of the desktops. It also makes web pages load 5 times slower?
