Unable To Access Certain Website

Mar 11, 2012

There is a website in .com domen and another one international .eu When I try to connect it keeps redirecting me beetwen those two (A loop basically) with Firefox it's like this: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.I tried cleaning cash, enabling&disabling cookies, i also tried editing hosts file attaching name to ip, using anonymizer doesn't work either. And I repeated all the above with Internet Explorer. I've got Win7 sp1 and my ip isn't static/also I can ping the desirable site and it says it's ok.

Asus N80Vm - Unable To Access A Certain Website?

Jun 22, 2011

There is a website I use, and when I was on it today I noticed that it was refreshing very slowly. Suddenly it stopped refreshing and gave me the "cannot connect" error screen. I waited all day and finally I thought to check via proxy. When I use a proxy, it works.

Here is what I have tried so far:

- used proxy (worked)

- pinged the site (worked)

- checked to make sure I'm not banned (I'm not)

- rebooted and started in safe mode with networking. Still could not access the site.

Home Network :: Cannot Access Particular Website On Network Only

Nov 8, 2012

I was able to access my website jetbaby.com just fine before I changed the cPanel password. Now I cannot even load the site or load the cPanel login page here: jetbaby.com:2082 All I did was change the cPanel password. When I use another computer that is NOT on my network, I can connect to the site fine. I'm assuming that my network is blocking it for some reason after the cPanel password change. I tried the IP address in the address bar as well (still no go). Cannot "ping" the IP address either. I reset my modem and router as well. Cleared cache in browsers as well. I also disabled firewall and anti-virus for testing.

Unable To Ping External Home Ip And No Access?

Jul 11, 2011

I'm trying to setup my home network so that I can access it when away from home but I've ran into problems and I can't figure out what is causing the problem.I've setup the router to forward incoming requests on port 80 to be directed to my PC running WAMP. The PC has a static IP and if I access it from another PC on my network I get the WAMP page load as expected.I've also setup an account with no-ip.com to resolve my (dynamic) ip. If I use the address they have setup while I'm on my network I get the login page for the router, again this is what I expect. The problem begins when I try and access my home address (whatever.no-ip.biz) from outside my network. I've tried it from 2 different locations and via a dial-up account and I get nothing.

Unable To Access Internet / Home Page Once A Day

Oct 3, 2011

For the past weeks, I've been experiencing NOT to able to 'access' Home Page on daily basis. It occurs exactly 'once a day,' often early morning but sometime even in the middle of night. For this to resolve, I need to unplug a black cable connecting to Router and plug back in to 're-start' Internet connection. This pattern happens after having replaced a brand new modem and router, saying a Modem has an issue diagosed through the phone of my ISP.

With an older modem, however this, .... 'disconnection once a day' never occured. The tech guy told me 'signal' is OK, but there are 'too many computers' in my household. However, my ISP, Comcast allows us to use 5 different PCs, then the tech. guy's diagnose did not correspond to this at all.

As to 'multiple PCs,' we, the family never use more than 3 PCs/Internet at a time. Most of time, we use only two PCs for surfing and e-mailing/photoes. Two other PCs are a sort of 'back-up' puposes ONLY.

Unable To Connect To Wireless At Home - Limited Access

Jan 18, 2013

I am unable to connect to my home wifi from my laptop but it connects fine at work. All other devices (2 androids and 1 laptop) are able to connect to the home network. My laptop used to connect intermittently earlier - sometime the connection would be restored when i reset the router or restarted the laptop but now I'm just not able to at all. The message i get is either "Limited Access" or "Unidentified Network. No internet access" - the signal strength always is excellent. I have tried switching off and on the wireless router, have disabled and then enabled the wireless connec on the laptop, have reconfigured the wireless network on the router with a new network name and password but nothing works. However I am able to connect to the internet using the network cable - there were a few times where I couldn't do that either. I've tried browsing on several forums to get answers but haven't found any yet. [code]

Linksys Access Point :: WRT54G - Unable To Find Access Point In Home Network

Aug 29, 2009

I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network. My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1.  My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems. The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.

I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390  but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold  from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.

The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Home Network :: Internet Failing Due To Publishing Website With IWeb?

Jan 21, 2013

We have a network of over 20 devices, all kinds (windows, android, mac enz...). Everything was going well until one of the mac-users tried to publish his website that contained a movie (at first the movie was 622 MB). If this user presses publish the internet is going away. The website won't publish, waiting doesn't work. While the internet isn't working I went to another pc in the network and started some ping experiments. I can ping any device in the LAN, outside the LAN something strange happens: let's say for 6 seconds it is ok, but then it fails for lets say 20sec, again 6 sec the ping returns ok (45ms), and goes down for a longer period. Eventually it is not coming back. The mac user himself cannot access the internet either. When the publishing is stopped, the internet is back in less than a second.

This problem is recent, and it isn't the first time this user published a video on his own website, on the same host with the same application (iWeb). I asked him to publish his site to a local folder and hand it over to me, I tried to publish it to the same host using my own FTP application (FileZilla), this worked without any problem (I am on the same network). This is what we tried:

- Compressing the video (it is now 26 MB, still not working), we have 2GB space from the host, no limits on filesize.
- Publishing the website without the video's, no problem
- I turned on logging (debugging level) in the modem/router, no entries at the moment things went wrong...
- I called the provider, they claim nothing is wrong at their systems.

So, can the modem be broken? I don't think so because I can use it with far more intensive tasks without going down. One thing is clear, it shouldn't be possible for one computer to block the internet for everybody, so changes in the configuration are needed (I think).

He also tells me that there is a problem with my domain registry. Now, Company Y tells me that the domain name's A-records has to be pointed to the correct IP address [which is, of course, the webhosting IP I bought.]Company X tells me to login to my account and add an A-record pointing it to the correct IP address. I did that. But still Mr. Z tells me he's getting the same error and is not able to connect to the domain name. Now, when I ping my website on MS command prompt, I get a "Request timed out" error.

D-Link DIR-655 :: Unable To Connect To Particular Website Through Router?

Jan 4, 2011

I am timing out when attempting to connect to a particular website for all the computers on my network using my DIR-655. I checked my router's setting but I have no website filtering in place. Is there any other router setting which would cause one particular http address to always time out ? When I try to ping the web address it times out also, so it makes me think it is not the DNS server. Of course it could be my ISP, but why would a single web address time out always whereas my normal web surfing ?

Linksys Cable / DSL :: X2000 Unable To Log Into Random Website

Nov 10, 2012

Suddenly I have not been able to log into random websites and not been able to add online shopping items to cart.  I couldn't believe the router would do this but I have confirmed.  With Linksys x2000 installed I have tested Linkedin.com on all four of my computers.  2-Windows 7 Machines, 1-Windows8 Machine, and 1-2011 Server. After typing username and password, page would refresh to login screen and will not allow me to login in.  I have tested this on all 4 machines.  Also tried ordering something online and would not allow me to place items into cart.  Again tested on all four machines.

I set Router back to factory defaults and tested and got same results.  Turned off firewall and got same results.  Ensure Time was set correctly and got same results. Ensured I had latest firmware, 2.0.4 ( or someting like that) and no newer upgrade.I replaced Linksys X2000 with ISP provided Router Westell 8500 and none of the problems persisited.  Definately something wrong with the Linksys x2000.  I am in Eastern Time Zone and think the problem started with Day LIght Saving time, although I can't be sure.  Routeris getting the right time however.

Home Network :: Unable To Get Home Networking

Oct 16, 2011

After trying most things and spending money like water, I still cannot get our home network to be adequate and I am out of options - Tried using two 100MBit/s Netgear routers "bouncing" signal to each other (Wireless Repeating Function). Not ideal as security is small and speed was slow (<10MBit/s) but at least it worked. However these routers had to get pensioned off when we put gigabit ethernet in the office - and the Netgear replacements (a) still have the security limitations with wireless repeating, (b) anyway see to do a worse job of repeating. Tried buying Netgear directional high-gain antennas and directing the signal point to point to a second router - didn't work at all. Tried Powerline (this was in 2008). It sort-of worked but was unreliable and dog slow. I think this is probably not worked by the fact that this building is OLD, most of the wiring is OLD, and anyway the electrical path would take the signal from the 4th floor, down some very old wiring to the ground floor, across a very old switchboard, and back up to the second floor... it's not quite the same as a modern house with modern wiring. Most recently tried using Netgear's Wireless Network Extender. Again, it sort of works, but it's NOT fast at all. In addition there are times when some of our computers using the extension segment of the network are unable to connect - they can still see 3-4 bars of signal, but they cannot get on the network. Appears to be an issue relating to gateway, or DNS, not sure. But I would say about 1 day in 3, when I come home, my wife tells me that the "internet is off".

TP-Link Dual-Band Wireless :: Unable To Load Website Hosted Behind WDR4300 At Times?

Jan 15, 2013

Region : Canada
Model : TL-WDR4300
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.13.23 Build 120810 Rel.44064n
ISP : Bell Canada

We have a WDR4300 router that works well about 98% of the time. We have a static IP address from our ISP configured through PPPoE in the router and are hosting our own email and web server at local IP 192.168.1.200 behind the router. Port forwarding is enabled and working beautifully.

At some times throughout the day, any computer behind the router on our local network is unable to browse to our own website by our domain name (e.g. www.xyz.com) nor by the static IP it is attached to. We also get e-mail errors with mail client configured to use the domain name or the static IP it is attached to as the outgoing mail server. When this happens, I am still able to browse any other site on the internet without problem... just not our own. Also, I have verified that while this is happening (internal computers can access the internet but not our own website):

1) I can browse to our website just fine from a computer outside of our network (e.g. a proxy or a computer controlled remotely from my home)

2) a computer from within the office that cannot reach our website using the domain name or the static IP it is attached to can still reach the website by browsing to the local IP address of the web server (192.168.1.200)

3) the problem seems to resolve itself sometime within 45 minutes of noticing it is occurring if we do nothing. We can make the problem resolve itself sooner by restarting the router.

I have the impression that this problem MIGHT start occurring when users are downloading files from our website. Of course, if this is the case, we cannot simply restart the router to fix the problem because then we are cutting off their download.

I've tried to ping it, and all that comes up is that request timed out, tried flush dns, restarting router/modem and even to change ip (which i did not succeed with). However i found this "solution" url... and reading the top comment, it says that "This problem occurs when viewing the same site over a router from more that one computer or application at the same time for a period of time." And i have done exactly that in the past days the site was working.

Can't Access One Particular Website

Apr 24, 2012

I'm trying to reach [URL] and just keep getting a timed out message. I had this problem before once and gave up trying to solve it and then one day I came across a post at SWI in my google results and amazingly, I was able to access the site. I have no idea what was different on that particular day.

Same symptoms in Firefox and IE so I don't think its a browser issue.

Tried accessing the site through the IP address - same result.

Tried safe mode with networking - same result

I reset my router a few days ago because of another issue but I haven't reset it since this problem began. I have tried restting my router dns to opendns and also google public dns, neither of which has made any difference.

I got a friend to confirm that the site is not down, as I suspected. Tried to ping the site using this and the only 2 UK locations on the list said 100% packet loss - is this relevant?
