Jan 20, 2013I have a laptop PC with WiFi, so I download a bunch of stuff on here. Then I have my beast/monster desktop gaming PC with a kick-ass geforce gtx 650 Ti, and an i7 processor, etc etc.... The thing it DOESN'T have is WiFi, or any internet capabilities at all (until I get a WiFi card in it or something).I have some 4 GB movies in my laptop, and so far what I been doing to transfer those movies to my desktop PC is saving it in a USB memory stick from my laptop, then taking the memory stick to the desktop PC and saving it there. I have regular Ethernet cables, would that work? What do I need to do to transfer files from my laptop to my desktop PC more efficiently and fast?

Dec 11, 2011I have some 1080p video files on my PC. Since my PC isn't powerful enough to play the files smoothly, I have been streaming the content to my PS3 using Windows 7 media sharing.
This works well with no noticeable loss of quality.
My problem is that I have to go into the services on my PC and restart the WMPNetworkSvc service every time I switch the PS3 on, otherwise the PS3 doesn't detect the PC.

Feb 23, 2012I use to could be able to watch videos and listen to music, and download at optimal speeds, I could even watch HD if I wanted to, but now all of a sudden (starting at least 3 weeks ago) videos, downloads, and music seem to run super slow no matter what quality I have it on. It takes 5 minutes to buffer a 3 min video, and if I want to watch a show, it take like 2 or 3 hours to fully buffer. My internet still goes fast, and I have trendmicro antivirus, as well as ccleaner, i updated my drivers, i have ie9 and adobe flashhplayer 11.1, i updated everything in windows update, i unplugged the modem for awhile and shut down more often, and opened it up and blew all the dust out. I don't know what else to do. I do have a cisco E2000 wireless router if that's a problem, and both my ps3 and my computer are on the connection, but my computer was working fine with both on the same connection for a year. I go on the http:192.168.1.1 cisco place, and i renewed ip settings, and nothing worked.

Now working in HD (1920x1080) and find that the TV does not even see the mpg files, let alone play them. If I convert the HD files to SD they are then visible again. Both a gateway laptop and an HP laptop also work hardwired.When I use a Wireless Access point, it works fine with the laptops. However, when I use the Lenovo desktop connected directly by wire to the WAP, I only get "partial" internet access.I can ping yahoo, I can get a google page. But any "thick" content seems to be blocked.I can't play any youtube videos on the Lenovo via the WAP, or view websites with rich content.I get the youtube page, but it hangs on play. the laptops work wether wired to the router, or wired to the WAP. With any content including youtube.

When a machine is on the local subnet, it can see the video; however, when it's moved to the DMZ, the unit can be accessed, but all video screens are black and an java script error pops up as follows: URl This message does not pop up when on the local subnet. Additionally, in the login screen, there is a language selection, and sometimes all languages are blanked out. There is a space for them, but they don't display. I've tried this on a half a dozen machines, either XP or Win7 with IE8 and IE9, and they all do the same thing. I disabled http inspection, but that doesn't work. I also did a packet capture, and the only packets that traverse the ASA.

I was worried that it was my computer, but then the same thing started happening on my moms' Macbook, and then her Wi-Fi streaming television started corrupting the video. And then, sometimes a website won't load fully, but will instead load part of it's code, or instead my browser (I've tried on Google Chrome, Firefox and IE) tells me the webpage is unavailable, or doesn't exist. It'll load up semi-properly (with the corrupted images still) after a refresh or two, but it's tiring and worrisome.

Getting Disconnected When Either Gaming Or Watching Videos Online?
Mar 30, 2011I keep getting disconnected from internet every once in while. Maybe for a minute or less, but there was never any obvious sign of disconnection, IE. my tray icon never says disconnected or limited connectivity. But there are signs of getting disconnected when I am either gaming or watching videos online. The video would buff a bit then get stucked, then loads after a few to 30 sec delay. When gaming, I would lag out or have everyone waiting for me to connect back (warcraft3, starcraft When I am downloading files, this does not ever happened, no matter how big the file size is. This problem started a few days ago. I tried restart the modem but I cannot possible do that every 15 mins. Another problem that could possibly be also be the same is that I am connected but cannot browse websites. If I am downloading anything, it will still keep download, i just can't browse or log on to online games.
