I have a problem with my wireless adapter. Every time I On my computer,It take very long time to detect wireless.Sometime it take 2 hour..Huhu..Pity me..My sister use very cheap notebook but it can detect the wireless instantly after she on the notebook.I feel very weird because when i on my laptop near another laptop that using internet,it can detect wireless directly.

I have been traveling all over Germany and automatically detecting internet wherever I go however I cannot detect the dlink wireless access point directly across from me. My work computer is detecting and connecting just fine. I see other wireless networks just not the one I have a password for so I cannot connect. I have reset and seperately restarted the wireless access point but no luck. I am in desperate need of this wireless access. There is no line I can plug into manually either. I have also tried to manually set up the network and that either did not work or I did not go about it correctly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Lenovo Ideapad y500 a few days ago, and the internet speed has been incredibly slow from the get-go. Loading images on pages takes way longer than it should, I can't watch streaming videos that last 4 minutes without it pausing to buffer every 5-10 seconds. It took about 20 minutes to download a 50mb file. My 4 year old laptop loads everything way faster, especially when downloading files. I did a ping test on both and everything was about the same, except I got a download speed of .75 mb/s on the new laptop, and between 12-17 mb/s on the old laptopI did a few ping tests, and this is what I got:Ping: 25 msDownload speed: .75 mbpsUpload speed: 4.10 mpbs.
And then I tried the same test with the laptop plugged directly in to the router with the ethernet cable and I got a ping of 20 + download speed of 25.12 mbps, and I tried loading a few youtube videos and they ran perfectly. Then I ran the test again over wifi, only this time I ran it sitting right next to the router. Still got download speeds of about 20 mbps. As soon as I got back to my room (which isn't that far from the router) the download speed dropped back to ~.80 and everything went back to loading slow again. The thing is, running the test from the exact same spot in my room on my old laptop, I still was able to get download speeds of around 18 mbps. My network card is an Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230 and the router is Linksys WRT150N wireless-n.I've tried downloading the wireless drivers from Lenovo, and it didn't change anything. So those are up to date. There were no firmware updates available for the router on Linksys' site
On my moms laptop, (month old Lenovo B570/i3-3230/4GB/W7), when transferring files to my Crucial Gizmo! 16GB USB Drive, it is pretty much impossible to surf the web. Loading websites take 30-60 seconds, it's ridiculous. Is this normal? Her router is Linksys WRT54G. Router is not connected via USB, in fact the Laptop is connected through ethernet cable (not currently using wireless).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a point to point 100mb line connecting SG500x switches at 2 locations, with these ports in a vlan together. I use layer 3 on the SG500x's to route between the two sites. I also have RIP protocol enabled to allow for automatic failover if the point to point fails (this works well).
I upgraded the ios to 1.30.59, and the connection now runs at a fraction of the speed. I have hard-coded the ports to run at 100mb full duplex, but I still only get around 12mb of throughput between the switches. I used to get about 90mb before. The provider also hard-coded the circuit to 100mb full duplex. The provider has checked the circuit remotely, and everything looks fine. I tested with a laptop at each side, and did get almost 70mb throughput. I would think this indicates some type of setting mismatch, but i cannot find anything.
I am using a backup vpn for now as some things look flaky as well (on vpn, I can use the web interface to access the SG500x on the opposite side, but on the point to point I cannot - I can ping the device though).
I have seen some references on here to shutting off STP on these 2 ports.
I assigned the access point a static IP 192.168.2.50 within the router IP range. My computer wireless card is detecting the access point but I can't get the belkin n600db to detect the access point.

On my previous laptop (a Lenovo T60), I had to buy a belkin N Wireless USB adapter and used that. But I don't think I need to use it on the T410, right? When I switch the T410 on, the Access Connections box comes on and I can see all the different wireless networks available and they have good strength, but I just cannot connect, I don't know why? I have entered the 10 digit encryption key.

It doesnt matter what network I use , it does the same thing. When the connection is lost it will also cause any other wifi devices (computers, phones) to lose there connection and have to reconnect. I have tried just about anything and everything including using an external usb wifi.

I'm very satisfied with everything about it... except for one little problem.It constantly drops the wireless connection, unless I'm in the same room as the router. If I'm in the same room, everything runs super fast, however, if I'm across the house or upstairs (the router is downstairs), it'll drop connection every 20-30 minutes. The weird thing is, other devices (4 laptops & 3 iPhones) work just fine. Even my old HP laptop has fine connection upstairs, so I'm starting to think it's a problem with my laptop's wireless card.Another thing that makes me think it's the laptop's problem... I was with my dad at a public library using their wifi the other day. The card is Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2200. I've updated the driver directly from the Intel website, but no luck. Whenever I use my wireless to connect to my router using correct password I am not able to do so(another device/laptop connects fine). If I use unsecured connection then same router connection works fine. I tried contacting Lenovo support but they asked me to buy software support as, as per them wireless is working.

I have below setup.
1. Comcast cabel modem with highest speed of 8Gb.
2. Linksys E1000 router
3. three devices-- Lenevo W500 laptop(2 years old), Nook(latest) and Lenevo G550 (6months old)
4. Earlier I had WRT54G router and all were working fine.
Now, I replaced WRT54G with E1000 router and symptoms are below.
a) on my W500 laptop, it works fine with Wired connection but when I switch to wireless, the internet speed reduces drastically in 10 minutes and finally crawls..
b) other devices (nook and Lenevo G550 are working fine withwireless)
Called Linksys support and they blamed on laptop and comcast cable.
I have Lenovo N100 , today i installed a new xp window but after that my laptop is not detecting network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently replaced an older linksys router with an EA4500. Everything is working fine except for a Lenovo Thinkpad we have. The Lenovo will drop the wireless connection and the only way to reconnect is to disconnect the wireless and reconnect on the Lenovo. With the previous router the Lenovo did not have this issue.There are a number of Apple devices also on the network that do not have this issue either. I've updated the wireless NIC drivers on the Lenovo to the latest and greatest, no changes. Again, problem started when the EA4500 was added.

The switch is turned on, have checked device manager and NOTHING is listed there. The green light won't even come on when the switch is activated. I am not computer literate, but have resorted to everything except cleaning the system and rebooting. I am currently using a usb wifi adapter?

PM also doesn't work.[URL]"...I have a Lenovo Y560 that worked fine up excepting a keyboard issue that I fixed based on a youtube posting. The fix was to tape a small piece of antistatic tape under the keyboard over a screwlike piece of metal. Apparently that metal was causing static by rubbing against the keyboard data cable. It fixed the problem. Previous to the fix, various keyboard keys prompted shortcut keys (maddening and couldn't type).After assembling the keyboard and the top of the keyboard pad (was very careful to not bring static and assemble properly), the wireless connection began to drop. I have another laptop (Asus) with a similar set-up but a Centrino wifi card (vs. Intel 1000 bgn for the Lenovo) and it was connecting to the wifi no problem. Often, I'll see a yellow sun symbol over the wifi bars or a blue animated circle or a red x. Changing the standard settings does not work. Attaching an ethernet cable brings up a perfect connection.
1) I've covered an antenna of some sort with the anti-static plastic (pea-sized piece).
2) My wifi card is bad and coincidentally went out when I fixed the other problem above.
3) When the keyboard problem existed, I hit a shortcut that reconfigured the wifi somehow (but it worked fine before I opened up the keyboard.
Recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Y580 and performed a fresh install of Win 7 Premium 64-bit on a new SSD. Installed latest drivers for all hardware but discovered after the install that my wireless adapter wasn't able to find any wireless networks (it worked find under Windows 8 when laptop was first unboxed). My wired connection works fine though, I am able to connect up to my network without issue using a network cable. Also, I am able to connect to my home wireless network without issue using another laptop.In addition, the adapter icon in my tray shows a red-X on it. I've found many issues through web searches that suggest driver updates or hardware disable/enable steps but neither of these approaches have worked for me. I am holding off re-installing my OS until I've tried some more simpler and less time consuming options. [code] When I run a hardware test via the Intel Wi-Fi manual diags I get the following: "Wireless Hardware is not bound to transport driver".

I tried evey combination of settings possible on the E4200 and on the 5300 Which was a lot of combinations I can only get the a G connection on 2.45ghz and only an A on the 5ghz
To make things worse, trying to call Lenovo is pointless without a warrenty they wont even answer simple questions without out it, totally insane!

I tryed two configurations: Root and Non-Root AP. This way every wired PC on the Root AP can connect to the Access points, but cannot connect to the wired PC on the Non-Root AP.AP and WGB. Even this way the wired computers on one AP cannot connect to the wired PC on the WGB. This way only the wireless client can connect to the wired network. This is my network:

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have a Wap610n access point, when I am connected on the device in N mode I got an average speed of 50 bytes per sec, in G mode no problem with an average speed of 2.250 meg per sec .I have tried with 2 different USB keys (Belkin f7d2101 and Hercules hwnum-300) but the result is the same.The access point is configured in 2.4 GHz, band 40 mhz only, and I have verified that no other radio emissions are on the same frequencies than the Wap610n in my neighborhood.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using a linksys WRT120N router as a Access point in my student dorm (according to the rules!). As long as i used it as a router, I never had problems with the speed. But now, the connection is very slow.For example, when I am wirelessly connected to the AP, and when I ping the main router of the building, I see packet drops and some packets have more than 4000ms rtt. (while normally it should be b/w 0 and 1 ms). So as I understand it, there is some problem between the AP and my computer in the wireless channel or something but I have no clue.I am using the latest firmware from the CISCO website.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is the first outside bridge I have ever attempted. These radios are 2000 feet apart, pointed at one another. The first radio has a cat 5 (with POE) to a Windstream 2Wire wireless router.
The other radio has 3 RadioLabs AP's (with POE) connected to it. I have followed the installation guide for the GS200 ( Here) to no avail. I must have missed something but don't know what.
