View 1 Replies View RelatedMy internet has been dropping out over and over. Im connected via ether cable on my desktop with windows seven to my belkin router however on the router the wireless icon is flashing orange indicating something wrong. I rang my internet provider and they said its not them, when I troubleshooted the problem it came up with DNS server isnt responding. I tried looking through posts and tried restoring my router to factory default but nothing has worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have been having internet problems lately and first thought it was my modem. Figured out it wasn't the modem but the isp. After I woke up the next morning I found the wireless not to we working again but the hard connection to be just fine. I have tried resetting the router but I'm not entirely sure I went through. The orange light no longer comes on. Wired connection also doesn't work while connected to the router. I have tried 192.168.1.1 and nothing loads. The router and modem are about 5 or 6 years old. A windows xp desktop, windows 7 and vista laptops are on the network with a blue ray player.the router is a wrt54gs2 v7
I think i have to reconfigure the router but I'm not sure. If that's the case why am i having trouble with 192.168.1.1?
Reset button pushed in, unplugged won't reset it. I get my default name on connections but it's not showing as available connection.

I have tried resetting the router by the reset button and changed ssid name, making two different one for each band, and still I am having a problem. I have read where it could be a firmware update, I have updated (using current version)

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just got this new WRT160Nv2 router. I have (1) wired computer and then my laptop running wireless to it. For the first couple days I had some issues getting consistant internet but after reading some stuff on here I downgraded to the version 8 hardware and it worked GREAT for about 3 days. Now my power light won't stop flashing and I have NO internet connection at all through the router. I have tried to reset the router by holding down the button and also unpluging it but still nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEverything was working fine. Changed Nothing on the router. Goes out and now wont broadcast a wireless signal, cant manually reset the router, or get into the settings with 192.168.1.1
Currently I am wired through it with my desktop and its working, but not much else.
Is it normal for the "CISCO" icon/light to "fast flashing" periodically - not to be confused with the "slow flashing" that the E4200V2 displays when being "power cycled"?

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy family kept having a problem with our Billion 6800n router. (or something like that).Basically we pinned the problem down to it not having the strength to keep several connections running through it. So we upgraded to a Billion 7800n and found it is much more stable and much faster. However it has been having a similar problem to our previous router.
Occasionally the internet light drops from green to orange, and we can't load any more pages until it has gone back to green. Here is a picture of what it looks like when in that status. But the weird thing is the connection bars on the windows toolbar at the bottom of the screen still show full strength. As shown here. Now I thought it might be because it was sharing a power board with other connections going through it,so I transferred it to a smaller two-plug one instead.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, I messed around with my router a little too much and just want to restore it back to the original firmware now. I have a WRT54GS v7 Linksys router and tried to follow this guide to flash the firmware to something a little more useful. After step 7 of that guide, I can't ping my router, can't access the GUI, and have no idea what my router's IP is. If I assign each computer plugged into the router an IP like 192.168.1.2 I can ping them, so the router is still functioning somewhat. I'm plugged into my modem right now to get on the Internet.
Right now, my power light is off, my DMZ light is off, my WLAN light is off, but the other lights turn on if I plug a cord into its port (plug a computer into port 1, port 1's light comes on). When I do an ipconfig /all i get this. I doubt the web interface still works, but if I could at least get the router's IP, couldn't I use tftp and put the firmware on that way?
I have a 1921 router with a V.2 T1 wic installed connected to a MPLS circuit. The circuit is down hard and the CD light is flashing. We reseated the WIC card and the circuit recovered for about 30 seconds, then went down and CD began flashing again on the WIC. AL is solid.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new TEW-692GR router attached to an UBEE DVM3203B cable modem. For the last several days the WAN light on the router and the LINK light on the cable modem flash on a continual basis. This seemed to happen after establishing a wireless connection between a new LG smart tv and the router but am not sure if that in fact caused the issue. I have power cycled all devices on my network in an attempt to clear this up but no joy.

i have tried connecting directly to a PC, the NIC reports as network cable unplugged.i have tried the (power on device, hold down reset button, power of after 30 sec, power on after 5 sec, release reset button after 5 sec) but still "network cable unplugged".
the firmware flash utility will not find the NIC the device is connected to.the router is less than a year old, is there a fix or is it a warranty replacement ?
I have just upgraded my Linksys router from an older one to the E-2500 about a week ago. Everything is working great on my wired desktop and 3 wireless laptops except the printer will no longer work from any of the computers. I've checked the printer wireless settings and they are correct (ssid and password) and it says it's connected to the wlan. Each of the computers shows the printer is active and set to default BUT the port light on the back of the new router is not on. I have changed cables and still no light, the printer is set up for sharing and it did work a couple days ago but port light was on then.
I have not added anything that wasn't hooked up on my old router, I"m just trying to get what I had on the old router to work on the new one. Everytime I call support, they have me change something that messes up what a previous agent had me do. Now they want me to pay for a direct connection so they can upgrade my router firmware...they didn't even ask what version I already had which happen to be the same version that is available on [URL] so if I had agreed, I would have paid for nothing. I had already paid $29.99 for additional 14 day support on my old router only to find out I needed a new one.
I've been using Linksys routers for quite awhile but I'm just about ready to change brands. I would really like to give this E-2500 a chance.
We recently had a big storm and lost internet connection to our house. Whilst internet connection has since been restored I've noticed that there are now orange lights above the port where the ethernet cable connected to on our notebook. I also cannot get internet connection using the ethernet cable. Does this mean my internal modem has blown? I can use the wireless modem with no problems.
If the modem has blown, how much are they usually to replace and is it relatively easy? I have a Inspiron 1525 Notebook.
Printer (Brother DPC-150) used to work with Belkin router. After a power cut printer works and router seems to work - on their own. But when I plug printer into USB slot on Belkin the little green light does not come on.

The diagnostic program does not indicate any modem at all, as if it were not installed. The Wi-fi light does not come on and it does not work with an ethernet cable plugged into the modem.
