I have a 1921 router with a V.2 T1 wic installed connected to a MPLS circuit. The circuit is down hard and the CD light is flashing. We reseated the WIC card and the circuit recovered for about 30 seconds, then went down and CD began flashing again on the WIC. AL is solid.
View 1 RepliesSo, I messed around with my router a little too much and just want to restore it back to the original firmware now. I have a WRT54GS v7 Linksys router and tried to follow this guide to flash the firmware to something a little more useful. After step 7 of that guide, I can't ping my router, can't access the GUI, and have no idea what my router's IP is. If I assign each computer plugged into the router an IP like 192.168.1.2 I can ping them, so the router is still functioning somewhat. I'm plugged into my modem right now to get on the Internet.
Right now, my power light is off, my DMZ light is off, my WLAN light is off, but the other lights turn on if I plug a cord into its port (plug a computer into port 1, port 1's light comes on). When I do an ipconfig /all i get this. I doubt the web interface still works, but if I could at least get the router's IP, couldn't I use tftp and put the firmware on that way?
I have a new TEW-692GR router attached to an UBEE DVM3203B cable modem. For the last several days the WAN light on the router and the LINK light on the cable modem flash on a continual basis. This seemed to happen after establishing a wireless connection between a new LG smart tv and the router but am not sure if that in fact caused the issue. I have power cycled all devices on my network in an attempt to clear this up but no joy.

The cable works but I plugged in my n300 belkin wireless router and it'll have a blue ligh for a couple second then flash and then turn to flashing amber/orange. It won't connect to the Internet. I tried resetting it, unplugging from both ends and nothing will work.

For the first couple days I had some issues getting consistant internet but after reading some stuff on here I downgraded to the version 8 hardware and it worked GREAT for about 3 days. Now my power light won't stop flashing and I have NO internet connection at all through the router. The power light is flashing constantly,the 4 LAN light are constantly on,the DSL Data light comes on for 1 sec when device is powered up.
i have tried connecting directly to a PC, the NIC reports as network cable unplugged.i have tried the (power on device, hold down reset button, power of after 30 sec, power on after 5 sec, release reset button after 5 sec) but still "network cable unplugged".
the firmware flash utility will not find the NIC the device is connected to.the router is less than a year old, is there a fix or is it a warranty replacement ?

Im asking above question because we will need to enable ip-sla on the mentioned router. as i read on the cisco webside, it says Cisco-ISR-1921/K9-IP Base support only IP-SLA RESPONDER feature nothing else. If Cisco-921/K9 does not support the above commands , should i go for ordering Cisco-1921-SEC/K9 ?

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhat should to do if ever or incase something happen during flashing firmware.like power turn off, or you quit the installation, or wrong .bin file.what i did is upgrade the firmware dlink dir 615 3.03 ww c2 to ddwrt factory.bin but before that i have save the original .bin from 192.168.1.1 for incase restore original setting.i did not follow the instruction that get latest firmware from dlink but what i did is restore or use emergency to reback the 3.03 ww c2 .bin from my dlink that i was save from original setting. and it didnt work out it failed the router totally stopped working and functioning. only the dlink name light is on. even the reset button dont work or dont blink.what should we do for this kind of fault is there another way to return the setting back? no ethernet and wifi so no way of communicating with router. the router ethernet and wifi has stopped working. but the computer homw network is detecting the router whenever i plug it in computer through Ethernet but the local area network when plug to router is disconnected. the router wifi is not blinking either.

The power indicator light is on but the green and yellow lights on the Internet port are not flashing and the modem the EA4500 is connected to show no activity on that port. Also, the EA4500 is not broadcasting so I can't even connect to it to use Cisco Connect to troubleshoot. I tried resetting it but it did nothing. This has happened before but is usally fixed with a reset.

We have a internal DNS server and an internal WEB server. In the DNS server there are records pointing to sites on the WEB server, this is working just fine.
The thing is when i use a public DNS such as 8.8.8.8 (googles public DNS) i cannot resolv the external IP of those sites. I do not want to access the sites and i do not want to send any packets to the sites. All i want is to query the public DNS and resolv the public IP where the site is.
I've been using a WRT120N on a local area connection.The WRT120N acts as a gateway and also to connect to the PPOE connection, via a bridged adsl modem.I've noticed that the LAN port 1 was flashing although the network cable was disconnected from the physical port. I've restarted a few times but to no avail as well. Ever since that, I've noticed that connection through cable are unstable and hard.Now, I'm not able to reset or upgrade the router's firmware.Is there any other way to be done so that I can get this router working as normal again.

Does the 1921/k9 supports trunking and VLANs (I think it should support 16 VLAN, but I am not shure) or I should choose 1921-SEC-k9? Routing performance is the same both on 1921/k9 and 1921-SEC-k9? (I think I'll use static routes or RIP, it is not a large network)
