I am trying to light up every port light on a 3750g. There is not anything plugged into them and I would like to know (just for fun) is there a way to make every port light 1 - 48 turn on using a command?

I previously asked if I should be concerned that the Internet light on my Linksys E3000 router doesn't light up when I have Internet access. Well recently I had to do a reset and I noticed that during the reset it does in fact light up, but it doesn't come on when the router is done with the reset!

The only way it turns off is when I unplug my computer from the outlet. Also, my computer doesn't receive any internet when an Ethernet cable is plugged in and the yellow flashing light doesn't show either. I know the Ethernet cable is fine and the internet works fine on other computers

View 7 Replies View RelatedI had a malware attack and decided to reload my XP Media Edition on my Dell XPS 400 series. After the disc reformat and reload of XP from the operating system CD, and then loading the drivers CD, I cannot connect to the internet. The plug for the ethernet cable is red/yellow on two different jacks in the house. The modem is supplied by ATT U-verse. The TCP/IP is connected at 400 Mb/s but showing "0" data transfer in or out. The internet connection was working before the XP reload. I did not backup an "image" and so I may have lost my registries? Is there a way to "turn on" the ethernet port?

After a recent lighting strick close by I can not connect to the internet through my router. Stright from the modem works fine. The port light on the router does not come on. I rebooted modem, router and computer with no luck. It's like I've lost my network adapters and I don't know how to get them back. I tryed another E2000 and it's the same way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded my Linksys router from an older one to the E-2500 about a week ago. Everything is working great on my wired desktop and 3 wireless laptops except the printer will no longer work from any of the computers. I've checked the printer wireless settings and they are correct (ssid and password) and it says it's connected to the wlan. Each of the computers shows the printer is active and set to default BUT the port light on the back of the new router is not on. I have changed cables and still no light, the printer is set up for sharing and it did work a couple days ago but port light was on then.
I have not added anything that wasn't hooked up on my old router, I"m just trying to get what I had on the old router to work on the new one. Everytime I call support, they have me change something that messes up what a previous agent had me do. Now they want me to pay for a direct connection so they can upgrade my router firmware...they didn't even ask what version I already had which happen to be the same version that is available on [URL] so if I had agreed, I would have paid for nothing. I had already paid $29.99 for additional 14 day support on my old router only to find out I needed a new one.
I've been using Linksys routers for quite awhile but I'm just about ready to change brands. I would really like to give this E-2500 a chance.

View 1 Replies View Related I have a DIR-655 Rev B, in a typical cascaded config: modem > dir-555 > switches & devices, etc.One of the four dir-655 ports is connected to a cheap-o Belink Wifi router which I use as an access point (I only use this because there's one device that only supports WEP). I was debugging a WiFi issue and I pulled the plug on this Belkin just to get it out of the picture. Well, when I did that, EVERYTHING that was connected through the DIR-655 lost connection. (Well, all the wired stuff anyway- not sure about WiFi devices through the DIR-655). I noticed that the port link light for the powered-off device stayed on on the DIR-655. When I unplugged the cable from the DIR-655, everything went back to normal.
So what I'm trying to figure out now is, is this a DIR-655 issue, or is it something screwy with the Belkin? Or Both? I've got to assume that there's some inherent flaw in the DIR-655 that allows something connected to a port to screw up everything that it's hosting.
Signed up for AT&T's Uverse package. Hooked the DSL modem up as instructions manual showed, but the DSL light shows red. Internet and activity lights are blank. Power and ethernet lights show green. I have two phone ports. One is orange colored and shows a "D2" figure next to it. The other one is plain. Tried plugging/unplugging from both. No luck. Called AT&T, I have a technician coming over tomorrow between 4-9pm. Will I be charged? Customer service rep said I probably won't be.Also, my e-mail doesn't show the $24.95 promotional price for 6mbps. It shows that there's a recurring charge for $40.

The diagnostic program does not indicate any modem at all, as if it were not installed. The Wi-fi light does not come on and it does not work with an ethernet cable plugged into the modem.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a question on Wireless AP's. We have 2 controllers, a 5508 that supports 50 AP's and a 4402 that supports 25 AP's. I have mutable AP"s but the one that I'm having a problem with is an AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9.
On the 4402 I'm running IOS AIR WLC4400-K9-7-0-230-0
On the 5508 I'm running IOS AIR-CT5500-K9-7-2-103-0
My problem is when i move a AP from the 5508 to the 4402 everything seems to work, the new IOS is downloaded to the AP and it restarts and shows up in the Wireless tab and users can hook up through it to the controller and all seems to work. The problem is that the LED light on the AO goes out once the load is finished and does not come back on. If I put it back toe the 5508, after it reloads the IOS the light comes back on and works, green or blue as the case may be. If i move it back to the 4402 it doesn't work after the load is finished.
I have Cisco 3560 switch in my network . from there we are distributing connection to our broadband customer in difference area. one location side port are getting glow yellow after every interval which result network goes down. when i replug the port its getting OK.

We reseated the WIC card and the circuit recovered for about 30 seconds, then went down and CD began flashing again on the WIC. AL is solid.

My sister had a router that had not before been in much use, the WRT54G Linksys router; so to save money we decided to use that. Well, we plugged in the router on October 7th, (friday) and everything was working -- we had Wifi connection; the WLAN light on the Linksys router was lit up. Now, last night, October 8th, right before going to bed I shut down my computer and I unplugged my computer cable. I did not unplugg the router. This morning, as soon as I turned back on my computer, as soon as it was done booting up I noticed the WLAN button on the router was not lit up. I immediately pulled out my ipod and it said that I was not connected to Wifi. All day I have been unplugging the router/modem, replugging them in, only to find that the WLAN button is still not lighting. The other buttons on the router - 'power', 'internet', and '1' (out of 1, 2, 3, 4) are lit. I have only tried rebooting the modem/router/computer once, which was about ten minutes ago and still nothing worked. Is there any way to get my Wifi back? The router is pretty much brand new, having never really been in use to begin with.

We had an older Livebox (Inventel) and after phoning tech support, we were told it was a problem with the router. The problem was with the "@" symbol flashing about once a second. Anyway, they sent over a new router. This was the netgear1000. We set it up and the Internet light stayed red - all the other lights that are meant to be green are green.. We checked the details against what was on the personal detail card they sent over with the router and all of that was correct. It even shows the upload and download speed even though we cannot connect to the internet. When I check the status, it states that the LCP is ready to come up or something along those lines and that the CHAP authentication failed. I phoned them up again and they couldn't solve the problem so it's being moved up to a different department apparently. Anyway, I don't get how it can be an error with the username and password if my old router just stopped working with nothing being changed. The phone line is fine and the tech guy even changed our password.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a fairly new Asus laptop and for some reason we can't get the wireless to turn on any more.It has a Function button method to turn it on and off and any time you use this button it shows the WLAN simple with a red line through it. No matter how many times you press it it does the same thing.I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, ran a security update for the drivers. When I go into the wireless connection and try and turn it on it shows that it has a signal (not sure what to) but a red X next to the connection in windows 7. I can't actually see any wireless signals so I'm kind of at a loss.

About a week after getting these units installed and having them work great, I started running into problems. One of the unit's system light was not on, and I could not connect to the access point from my phone, or log into the web interface. I did a soft reboot (unplug for 30 seconds, plug back in) and it seemed to work fine, but then I had the same problem, and soon both units were doing it. I thought i might be pushing the distance limit the stock injectors have, but then I started having the same problem with a unit that is 10 feet from the injector.
I recently (Jan 2011) bought a new DLink DIR-600 Router for my home use. It was working excellent for last two months and suddenly last Monday all hell broke loose. I have a WiMax connect and have a POE box. I plugged in the cable from POE box into my router and it used to work fine. But now, the globe indicator on the router box is not turning green. It remains yellow. When I remove the POE cable from router and plug it directly to my laptop, it works fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the present, we have two WLCs (5508). There are a total of 84 LAPs (1242AG). One controller is configured as the master controller in which all our APs associate to. It's currently running software version 7.0.116.0 and some of our BYODs using Windows 8 are unable to connect to the wireless. The fix for this is to upgrade the software of the WLC so that the LAPs can obtain the update to solve this problem. Simple! However, before rolling this out into the production wireless network, I would like to test it out on our second WLC which has no LAP associations, a test WLAN configured, and a newer software image loaded (7.4.100.0). I have a spare LAP that was previously associated with the master controller running the same software version (7.0.116.0). What I'm looking to do is associate this LAP to the 2nd WLC instead of the master so that I can ensure that the LAP gets the newest software. Then, I would like to test a Windows 8 device to make sure it connects.So far, I have done the following:
1. Disabled the 1st WLC from using Master Controller Mode and rebooted AP - result was unsuccessful; still associated to 1st WLC.
2. Reset LAP configuration excluding static IP info and reset AP - result was unsuccessful; still associated to 1st WLC.
3. Compared config for both WLC but since I'm new to these devices, I'm not sure what needs to be configured/changed.
I changed the setting from static to dynamic and the switch froze up. all lights on the panel flashed, when they stopped the system light on the left side continued to flash. I tryied unplugging unit as well as depressing the reset for longer than 30 seconds. Unit still the same.

The Diag light stays light and the factory reset button does nothing no matter how long I hold it in. Is there another way to reset the device?

Had water get on our switch over the weekend and this guy goes red when I fire off on demand diagnostic, but not relevant errors in any of the logs. Haven't gotten to the point where I am putting data back on the switch yet.
