Oct 20, 2012I have a belkin surf n300 usb wireless N micro adapter. No problems installing this adapter on a HP Desktop running windows 7. I have tried to install on a gateway laptop also running windows y 64 bit. In device manager it show that the product is working. It will not connect to any network. Mar 2, 2011I'am having problems when connecting to the internet. I'am running Win7 64-bit and i have Belkin USB wireless adapter( Belkin surf N150) When i first bought the adapter it didnt connect to internet, so i though it is not working and i got it replaced. I got the same problem with the second one as well, and then i have changed the wireless mode on the device manager from: IEEE 802.11b/g/n to: IEEE 802.11b and eventually i have connected to internet without any errors, but in this mode the internet is unbelievably slow which is very slow when compared to another wireless mode where i have changed it from. So my question is why i can't connect to internet IEEE 802.11b/g/n in this mode? The weird thing is that some times it connects to internet with no error and dissconnects again in a short while. Also when the windows tries to repair it, i get this report:

Aug 11, 2012I have 2 laptops- both Acer Aspire. I'm trying to share a wireless internet connection on laptop #1 with laptop #2 via a crossover cable. Internet sharing is turned on with laptop#1. both laptops are set to obtain ip automatically. Laptop #2 will connect to #1 with the cable, but the connection shows "Unidentified network No Internet Access. Diagnostics reports "Local area connection invalid ip config. "

Cisco VPN :: E4200 - Connecting To Local LAN After Connecting To AnyConnect Secure
Apr 1, 2012I connect to my corporate network using Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. Once connected I can no longer print to my LAN attached printer and other local resources. I use the Cisco/Lyncsys E4200 router on my LAN and can re-connect to the storage on the local LAN by setting up Port Forwarding of port 21 and MS Windows FTP folder sharing. However, I can't seem to connect to a Terminal Services client by forwarding port 3389. Is there a way to connect to the local LAN after logging into the VPN connection. I can connect to regular HTTP/HTTPS sites and most other type of connectiins, just not my own local resources.

Mar 22, 2012I just purchased a Acer Aspire 5250-0810 yesterday. I sat all day tryin to connect it wirelessly to my wifi connection I have enabled on my phone. It shows the signal strength as great and wont connect. I have tried several things. I have turned Protocal 6 off, protocal 4 off. I have tried to use the diagnos problem and it wont fix the problem. Nor find the problem. I tried to turn off my firewall, but it wont let me. This is all new to me. I am not an idiot by any means when it comes to computers. I have home internet with an ethernet cord, that when I hook it up to my laptop, it works fine, but that's for my desktop and I don't want to be stuck in the same spot all the time. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it to work?

Oct 23, 2012I have a local network that I want to connect to a WiFi site. The site is a free service offered to our community by a local ISP. The network uses a wireless router but cable links the two relatively old PCs. They are used for a single inventory-accounting program. One serves as the softwre host. The organization wants episodic Internet access so they can use a software update auto installation service. There are alternative ways to accomplish these updates, but this pathway is the only one acceptable to the organization. Why they reject a simple thumb drive using an out of system download is beyond me, but it seems to be a locked in idea. Oh, the current wireless router cannot accept DD-WRT, but one is available if it can be used if useable.

Dec 2, 2012I woke up this morning to find that I cannot surf the web anymore. I was able to last night just fine. My set up is this: Verizon Fios router(192.168.1.1)> Netgear gigabit switch> SMC router smcwbr14s-n3 (192.168.1.201) the Fios router is has a build in wireless but is in another building and i am not within range of it. I have a cat 5 cable that run between 2 house's... the cable comes into my house and into my switch then to my SMC router (smcwbr14s-n3 ) that is running in bridged mode to function as an AP. I can connect to a lan port on the switch or router and connect to the web (im currently in a lan port now.) Here's the thing, I can still connect to the wireless, it's just so slow (1Mbs -6Mbs)that i am unable to get anywhere... I do have security setup (WPA2) an im going to kill that to see if it resolves the issue... but it has been working fine with the current security setting for the last 5 months, so i dont really thing that is the issue.

Mar 16, 2011I connected a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Modem-Router have been trying 2 weeks to get it to work wirelessly, The icon for Belkin bottom right side of screen says "Connected to the belkin router via ethernet cable, and if I click the icon for computer connection info it says "Unidentified network (Belkin) Acess: Local Only.) I can use the internet while I have the ethernet cable attached to computer and using wired broadband, but once I take out cable I lose all connection. Have been in touch with Belkin by phone for 4 hours, they replaced unit but still can't get the wireless internet, the wireless is turned on(WAN & Bluetooth are turned on)

May 23, 2012I have this router now for one week to replace my old WRT54G router. Installing and connecting the router works fine although i don's see the 5ghz band. The main problem is that when i am downloading with Newsbin Pro from the newsgroups the internet connection for browsing or E-mail is closed, while the download still continues. When i close Newsbin pro the sites which i choose (and were on hold) opens immediately. With my old router (WRT54G) i could download and surf at the same time without any problems. I already spoke with the support line of Linksys but he was saying it was a problem with my wireless adapter. I've tested it with a cable in my laptop and than the problem didn't occur.

Apr 22, 2012i'm trying to setup a local DNS server to manage small office local-only domain names for our servers. i have the DNS working properly (resolving local machines and using the ISP dns if it can't). so i put the DNS server ip into the "Static DNS 1" field of the router settings. the other 2 static dns fields are empty.the problem is that the router is still using the ISP dns server as the primary and my local dns server as the secondary. i verify this in two places. first, if i go to the "status" tab, DNS 1 shows the ISP server while DNS 2 shows my local DNS server. secondly, if i connect to the wireless device with a linux-based machine, the /etc/resolv.conf file shows the nameserver ips in the same incorrect order.

Apr 7, 2011I have a Asus EEE PC 900 laptop running Windows XP Home. I DO NOT use a modem or router. I connect wireless to someones network (which of course i dont know who it is or how far it is from me) I connect to a Linksys unsecured network. I get good to very good (some times excellent connection from it) The name of my adapter is: Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter.Two days ago i was on the internet, and all of a sudden i Lost service ( usually when this happens i wait it out and it comes back)But it hasn't.So I'm checking through my settings and i noticed that im sending way more network packets than receiving. Last i checked it was around 40,000 sent and 5 received. So I wait and wait and wait and the most packets it would go up to is 90 while as sending is still in the thousands.It also says im successfully connected with good to very good connection status (but yet i cannot surf the web because i do not have enough network packets)
I tried different locations in my house (that didnt work)I uninstall and reinstalled my network adaptor (that didnt work)I turned off and on the wireless switch(that didn't work). Im wondering if this has something to do with my laptop or the other persons network? how can I increase the received network packets?

Dec 15, 2011I'm having trouble getting any web browser to work/recognize my connection. I've confirmed that I am indeed connected to the internet (I know this because, for example, I have no problem at all downloading games via Steam). For some reason, though, when it comes to surfing the web using a browser it's as if I'm not connected (even Steam can't load the Store page, I can only download games via the Library).I moved an infection a week or two ago, and I suspect it altered something that is causing this issue. I did get some advice to open the browser and go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings and make sure "Automatically detect settings" was checked, and "Use proxy server for your LAN" was not checked.I did this, and in fact "Use proxy server" WAS checked while Automatically detect settings" WAS NOT checked.
