View 1 RepliesI just purchased a Zonet wireless PCI adapter and I cannot connect to the internet, for my wireless connection it says I have limited to no connection, with a little yellow triangle with an exclamation point, and for the local area plug it says a cable is unplugged. I cant get in touch with the manufacturer either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been having difficulty connecting to the internet at my new place, I'm starting to think that the network card I recently bought (D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter) might have a problem, but I am not sure. I am currently using my landlord's internet, so I don't have access to the router to turn it on and off, which Windows suggests doing constantly, but I don't think that's the problem because I have internet on all my other wireless devices (Phone, PS3, Xbox).I am able to see the router most times and connect to it, but I am unable to connect to the internet, the networking image in the bottom corner has a yellow warning sign. Also, after a certain amount of time, the wireless card is unable to detect any wireless signal, the networking image in the bottom corner has a red X through it. I disabled all networking interfaces besides the wireless card because of an error message that I thought may have been caused by it: "This computer is continuously switching between two or more wireless access points or routers", but disabling the other interfaces did nothing and the message still appears after troubleshooting.

Before both network cards show up in (my network places). Now the network card comes with the motherboard doesn't show up, only the network card connection just installed.
I check the device manager both of the network adapters are there, check both of box that say place LAN on taskbar. This could be i have find and install revised intel chipset and lastest BIOS for the pc, now the hard drive activity LED doesn't lit and the ethernet controller has issue. Note when I plug in the cable to ethernet port (one built with pc) there's show both activity light and connection light, but can't connect to the internet.

I have a wireless modem/router that I connect to my PC thru USB cable and working fine. I newly installed Lan Card (Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC) and it doesn't connect to internet. It says connected with 100Mbps but Received data bytes are ZERO.
I did ipconfig/all and got all static address I had given while setup. When I "ping 127.0.0.1" it works fine. When I ping 'default gateway IP' it also sends/receives data. When I try to install the driver I got in the CD along with the LAN card, it says "you have already installed recent driver needed etc. " and doesnt allow me to install from the CD. Currently it shows 'Driver Used as : c:windowssystem32driversRtnicxp.sys'

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is on my desktop. I have a wireless card to access the internet and I am trying to hook another desktop to the internet through my desktop.
1. Is this even possible? I know it is on laptops but what about desktops?
info: windows 7 x64 home premium
configuration, some may be obvious. the desktops are connected through Ethernet cord. The main rig has the wireless card already hooked to internet. Have turned on ICS sharing on the Ethernet connection on main rig, and nothing. There is no option for sharing on the wireless adapter. The second rig has no option to share the connection. The main rig has a static IP because of port forwarding (my gaming rig).

Recently my wirless internet stopped working. I am running a HP dv 9000 laptop. The indicator light always stays amber (instead of turning blue when turned on) on external wirless switch. The wireless adaptor should be a Broadcom 802.11b. This does not show up in device manager, but my computer says the driver for it is installed. In the device manager there is one device with a yellow question mark beside it called "other device". Under this device there are three more devices called "base system device" with a yellow exclamation point next to them

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 11z (1110) with Dell 1397 mini wireless card. The wireless connection lags/drops persisitently at any time of day or night. When I connect the computer to internet via ethernet the connection is stable. When I run a diagnostics on the wireless card all pass, except the internet IP ping. I get the following message:
The wireless router/AP for your network is working, but your computer is not able to use an IP address to connect to the Internet. You will not be able to connect to the Internet, although you might be able to connect to your local network. Contact your network administrator or wireless router/AP installer for assistance.
I have installed latest driver for the 1397 mini wireless card, albeit a couple of years old.
The wireless router I am using is Netgear Rangemax Dual Band DGND3300v2. I can get into the router administration area but am at a loss as to how to reset/re-install it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a client using a Dell Poweredge SC440 server. About a month ago the system crashedfter some detailed checking I found it had burned some caps. on the motherboard. I replaced the motherboard & had to reinstall SBS 2003. Since doing this I can't get the server network card to connect. The machine does have 2 NIC's one for the server & one for the internet, neither of which will connect. I believe I have the IP address of both cards incorrect. Could someone tell me what the correct IP addresses (all of them) should be for a new install of SBS 2003? I know the IP address of the router & the service provider (AT&T), but these don't work. I do have a printout of the server when it was originally setup but it only give the server IP which is 192.168.2.1 I have put this address in the IP of the card but don't know what goes in the default gateway nor the perfered DNS

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired a new mobo to tide me over until I can get the spare money to order a new one (which probably won't be until after the first of the year) however, the board, while better than what I had, has some problems hence why I got it so "cheaply". The problems I had with it have been fixable/liveable with. Anyways, here's a description of my problem and some brief applicable system specs.
The ethernet port on this board was bad, knew that from purchase date. However I ordered a brand new card (10/100MB NIC PCI Ethernet Card), installed it, and the drivers all loaded, and the card is listed as working properly. I have no internet connection or network connection even listed. The way my system runs is as follows.
Computer/Ethernet Card -> Cat5 -> ASUS Router -> Cat6 -> ISP Router -> Outside
I have tried hard lining it direct from the ISP Router as well to no avail.I've even tried using the ipconfig.exe commands. Including /release, /flushdns, /renew. But, whenever I open the DOS panel with the command it just disappears in a millisecond.I know the PCI port on the board isn't bad because I literally just removed my USB expansion card from it to install this one. I even tried switching it with the other 2 PCI cards I have installed and they all work perfectly so it's not the PCI slot.
