Gateway NV59C / Cannot Find Wireless Adapter In Device Manager
Dec 19, 2011can't find my wireless adapter in Device Manager.I was able to detect wireless connectivity yesterday. After we replaced our router, my laptop says my wireless adapter is disabled.I am unable to find the "Manage wireless networks" in Open Network and Sharing Center. My Fn+F2 buttons used to enable and disable wireless is not working either. I tried setting up our previous router but it still won't work. I am using Windows 7. Gateway NV59C.

May 11, 2011Okay, so our old computer took a dump & our friend rebuilt us a new one and he threw in a new router to go with it. Its a D-Link router, which is directly connected to our desktop. However, upon completion of a new desk installment, we put the router into the cabinet and my gateway laptop immediately stopped being able to connect to the internet or the router at all.
1) The router is connected to the internet and broadcasting.
2) I've reset and refreshed the router and my window of available networks on my laptop, which did not work.
3) I've pulled it out of the cabinet, which also had no affect.
4) I did a manual search for the router, and it says the network already exists and asks if i would like to connect and upon agreeing to this, it returns me to the page of available networks, which does not include my router.

Apr 23, 2012My dad was just diagnosed with Leukemia and as a business owner in the hospital, I am trying to set him up a connection to his work and email. I am currently trying to test this old computer out at our office to make sure everything will work before I take it up to his hospital room. The computer is a Gateway with a model number of 450ROG and I see a small panel in the back that reads "fitted with intel WM3B2100 802.11B Wireless Lan Card".

Oct 25, 2012I have a Gateway MX6124 laptop. I used the System Recover disk that came with the machine. After a complete reinstall (twice), the wireless feature is not found. There is an idicator light that goes on and off when using the F2 key.
There is no Windows Mobility Center choice from the start menu. Needless to say, there is no wireless icon to access and trouble shoot. It's like the wireless is turned off even though the blue light is on.
Gateway Laptop To Stop Receiving Wireless Signals?
May 18, 2012My Gateway laptop has stopped sensing wireless signal. It was working just fine a few hours ago, then after I pulled it out of hibernate it stopped sensing the signal. I have switched the button off and on at least 3 times, tried restarting and turning off and starting. Have also tried the Fn-F2 a number of times but still no luck.

I constantly drop internet connection, mainly when downloading and playing games. In the right bottom corner, where my wireless connection signal strenght is showed, I get an yellow triangle with '!' mark in it saying 'Limited access'. When troubleshooting, the only way to get an internet connection again, I get an message 'The default gateway is not available' and it says that it's fixed. after awhile I lose internet connection again and everything repeats. I figured out that it's not from my router or Internet Service Provider. I saw in the forums the option to exchange this card for the 6230 upgraded version but that is not a variant for me because in my country the technicians can at very damage the laptop.

I configured the Gateway to Gateway VPN exactly as it was before but none of the three other RV082's will connect. I have tried deleting the connections several times to no avail. Linksys Wired Router :: RV082 Gateway 2 Gateway VPN Can't Ping
Jul 26, 2012We have a VPN setup between two Cisco RV082 routers, the VPN status shows as connected however I can't ping the other network. I am unable to ping between routers, let alone ping computers behind those routers.
We have 2 branches, branch 1 is on a static IP and branch 2 is Dynamic. I am able to connect via QuickVPN from Branch 2 to Branch 1 and remote desktop to computers, however have yet to VPN/remote desktop in the opposite direction.
To me it seems like a firewall issue at branch 2, but what's causing this. Also they are currently running 2 differnet firmware version not sure if this would cause a problem.

I have been able to successfully establish a gateway to gateway vpn connection between them both, and I can remotely administer each router through the VPN connection, but I am unable to ping computers from one side of the connection to the other. For example, a computer in the 10.10.1.0 subnet can't see / ping / communicate with a computer in the 192.168.1.0 subnet.

Jan 15, 2013I've been trying to connect to the internet all day. Every time it connects, but only with limited connectivity. I run troubleshooting, but it doesn't fix the problem. Sometimes it won't have anything to report back other times it says that the default gateway is unavailable. My laptop is the only device in our home that won't connect, so I don't think it's the router.I think the router is a cisco router, there is a cisco box mounted on the ceiling with a cord leading into it (I don't have access to any buttons though)I live in an apartment building with free internet, so I'm not sure who the provider is.

Wifi Not Working For Gateway Laptop?
Mar 19, 2011So here is what happened, it started two days ago. I use a wifi connection at work, it's an unsecure wifi and I don't know where it comes from. But I am able to get on here at work and do stuff... two days ago I tried and it let me on like normal, but then I couldn't get on websites, it said local access only... so I was like mmm that's odd and the little CD looking thing wasn't there it was just two computers on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. So I restarted after attempting a few times... same problem, finally after a while it let me online but it was very slow and kept kicking me off. When I would try to reconnect sometimes it wouldn't let me and it would give me the option to diagnose the problem or try a new network, I'd move around and finally get on.
I restored back to a day when it was working fine, I did a disc clean up, I used my CCleaner, I defragged my laptop. Still the same problem, my laptop is a Gateway computer running on Windows Vista... so today at first my wifi wouldn't work unless I was standing and holding it... which I found the higher in the air the better it stays connected it seems sometimes.I chatted with gateway and they gave me a few links to download which failed to download once they got to like 30% or so, so I am all out of options I downloaded the wifi link here Download free driver for notebook Gateway ML3109 (Windows 7, XP, Vista) - DriverPack Solutio since that is my laptop

I have been able to connect successfully to multiple wireless networks and access the internet until I tried to connect to the new network.Initially everything is OK - I can connect to the network and access the internet. However after a short period of time (anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes) the network connection will change to limited, without internet access. If I simply disconnect and reconnect to the network the internet will immediately be working again (at least for a few seconds/minutes)alternatively, if I run the troubleshooter, I always get the message that the default gateway is not available, which has been fixed by resetting the wi-fi adapter.
