View 4 Replies View RelatedI set up the WAP610N as a wireless access point, and it refuses to accept the passsword on several iphones (2 iphone4s and one iphone5) and a kindle fire.
The devices are picking up the network, but when the password is entered, the access point refuses the password. I've checked the password numerous times and the spelling is correct.
If the access point's settings are set to no security, there's an instant connection, which I expected, but the password is refused on either of the secure settings.
I bought the WAP610N for my son months ago, but he couldn't get it installed in his old apartment several states away because he doesn't have a CD drive in his computer. Now that he's moved into an apartment close to home, I was able to set it up using my computer. So I don't know if maybe it's a firmware issue since it sat in the box for months, or something else.
The access point is hooked up through a TP-Link TL-R860 Cable/DSL Router., which is not wireless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to the EA4500 for added range, etc. I'd like to let TiVo have the 5g side and use the 2.4g side for everything else. How can I even tell which band TiVo is using?
I tried setting TiVo up manually but it won't accept the password/key for the 5g band. I gave up and used the "push button" method, but I have a feeling that puts it on the 2.4g band.I do have two different SSIDs and two different passwords.
I changed my E1000 router name successfully, and then went into the Administration section to change my password. After changing the password and clicking on Save a small screen pops up asking me to verify my router's username and password. When I enter the exact same user name and password it does not accept them. When I try to enter the old user name and password it does not accept them either. I then try combinations of the two and it still will not accept the input. I have reset my router 4 times now and this keeps occurring. I am completely baffled.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a WRV 210 wireless router (three of them actually, planning to set up a VPN). But I can't set the admin password. I've tried 4 times, and every time, i've got to hold the reset button to reset to factory settings in order to access the management pages! I enter the new password in both fields, and then click to save the settings. It restarts. Then i try to log in - and it doesn't accept the new password. It doesn't accept the default password. I've tried with admin/(new password) and (new password)/(new password), and admin/admin. None of them work, forcing me to reset router to factory settings. I've tried a password composed of 6 letters followed by a . Thinking that maybe the . was throwing it off, I tried 6 letters followed by 3 numbers. That doesn't work either. I've updated to firmware version 2.0.1.5. No luck.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an E1000 linksys router. I am trying to determine the admin password. I have looked at seeral entries regarding this. I do not have CICSO connect installed. Not sure why. The router works fine. I have the CD that came with the router. I have also downloaded current version of connect software. Both of them want to config the router. The first item asked for is the admin password. I know I press reset button. I am trying to retrieve password without doing that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince Monday, when I have tried to access my emails in Outlook, a box pops up saying Enter Network Password The box is already prepopulated, with Server: pop3.live.com User name: my email address and a password that shows up as a bunch of stars.
Clicking on "ok" or "cancel" just causes the box to pop up again. (I can still access my emails on Hotmail, BTW, and all internet is working fine). I access the web through Qwest/Century link and MSN.
I am hesitant to delete the password 'cause who knows what it is?? It is NOT my Windows Live/Live Mesh password, as it has one too many stars. But the box came up prepopulated so I assume at some point this was the correct password.
In the past when this happened, you could call Qwest/Century Link and they would walk me through (as best as I remember) redoing all the pop 3 settings. Now, they say they "don't support" MSN.
i have a Cisco Router 8803G and i would like following commands to be run by telnet:
1) erase an admin user
2) change the password of an admin user
I seem to have lost my username and password for the admin page for my WRT54G router. Is there a way to retrieve or reset the login?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe EA4500 web-settings application asks for a username and password. The username is "admin" and the password is my long (60 character) wpa key. I see where I can change the password but it says I'll lose all wireless connections. This doesn't make sense to me. I would think the router administration username and password are completely separate from the ssid and wpa key. This was the case with my earlier LinkSys router. I'd like a router administration username to be something other than the generic "admin" and a password that is easier than my long wpa key. I want a separate ssid and wpa key (what I currently have).

View 7 Replies View RelatedMoved into a new place, set up a connection. Server provider gives only one mac address, they set it on my router. They say that it should be working, make a restart and that's it. I did that but still no connection. Moreover, I cannot connect through the router at all and therefore cannot access router admin page to configure it either. Now what to do? Password for the router is correct. Even when I take down all the security, still I cannot connect. To be more specific, at first I could enter the router admin page, but since I didn't know how to configure it properly, I made some mistake. I think I choose setting "configure wireless network" and changed something there. After that I cannot access the admin page or connect through the router.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to change the AD for an inbound eBGP routes to match with route-map instead of ACL? I know I can do that with ACL as follows and it works, but it is not scalable and if there is a way I can match AS Path or Community via route-map and then change the AD for those that matches, that will be ideal. So far I found the command to change AD was only with ACL as option.router bgp 1234.where 1.1.1.1 0.0.0.0 is the ebgp neighbor ip address and 1399 is the ACL 1399 and 120 is the AD to change the eBGP from 20 to 120.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to access the modem router as the admin but AT&T seems to have a pain in the butt security system from me making any changes. I wanted to forward some ports to setup my Synology DS212j Network Attached Storage (NAS). I connected my d-link router to the already setup modem router which I am now connected to. I have to run off to school but I was wondering, would I be able to forward the port off my d-link DIR-601 and be able to host my NAS server off that?
I don't have too much in-depth networking experience besides setting forwarding ports, setting static IPs, but I can't do that since I am not the admin for the AT&T router. I figure the password for the AT&T router is just defaulted to admin or blank but I haven't had time to fully test everything out.
How can I be denied anything when I am the admin? I am just trying to retrieve my WiFi network password.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently switched ISPs, and the new one gave us a Ubee DVW3201B as our home gateway. I want to change the Administrator username/password from the defaults, but I've been having some difficulty.
Every time, after I save the new username and password, I'm prompted to re-authenticate to the administration interface. It fails no matter what I try. I've tried using:
New username / New password
Default username / New password
Default username / Default password
None of the above works. This has happened twice now, with my only recourse after failure being to do a reset to factory defaults (press and hold the hard reset button for 10 seconds). Is there something I'm missing?

Im having some problems changing my admin password on my DCS920
I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password
newpassword
confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.
A window pops up asking me for my password. I type in admin for my username, and my new password, and it wont work
I type leaving the username blank, and type in new password... WONT WORK
I type admin, and new password again.. WONT WORK
I try password with first letter capital.. WONT WORK
I try password with ALL CAPS... WONT WORK..
Basically it wont let me log in as admin anymore. I figure I may have typed the password wrong the first time so I reset the camera and try the process again.. SAME PROBLEM.
Am I doing something wrong in changing my password ?
I dont wanna leave my default admin login as admin/"blank" , but when I try and change the password, it wont let me log in again as admin.
i forgot my admin password and i want to know if there is a way to retrieve or reset it. I have the enhanced wireless router model F6D4230-4 V1
