I'm using netgear cg3000d and i want to change my password. But my default gateway IP doesn't prompt a log in, only an error message.
I've tried restoring the browser to presettings, clearing the cache, and using chrome, and firefox.
I think i should be logging into admin gui for the router

I would like to setup certificate enrollment between a Windows Server 2008 R2 and a Cisco ASA 5510. Here are the commands that I use for the Cisco ASA 5510:
crypto key generate rsa modulus 2048 crypto ca trustpoint ASA5510-trust enrollment url http://10.129.112.20/certsrv/mscep/mscep.dll enrollment retry period 5 enrollment retry count 3 password Interop123 exit crypto ca authenticate ASA5510-trust crypto ca enroll ASA5510-trust
Everything works as expected until I try to enroll. There is no prompt for the enrollment password and the certificate request is denied.

Why isn't there a prompt for the enrollment password?BTW, If I set "enforcepassword" to "0" in the Windows registry, then it works.
I know a little bit about computers but I am having problems trying to connect to the internet that I cannot figure out. I connected the Ethernet cable to the back, it lit up, but it still says Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration.

Then the switch would prompt for a password. I've tried this on the Cisco SF302 but it still prompts for a username, and then the password.
My wife bought her self an xbox last night so we can game togher. We both tried to get online last night, but came up with a strict nat for one of the machines. Which ever machine got online first got the open nat type. i've tried DMZ host with port forwarding for both machines to no success. We have a netgear modem router from charter cable. the model number I believe is CG3000D. she was on a wireless network and i was wired straight to the modem router.

So being like that I have to create everyone in the shop a username and password. Is there a way to prompt the user to change their password on their first login like you would with windows or such?
We currently have a client that uses the IPSec VPN Client to remote in to their PIX 501. When they connect, it secures communication and immediately connects/minimizes and the tunnel-group name/password is sufficient so no prompt for a username/password from a local/radius database.
When setting this up on a newly purchased ASA, a username/password is prompted every time they try to connect. Is there a way to eliminate this feature or a command in the tunnel-group or group policy so that a username/password is not required after the connection profile establishes the VPN? It is ASA 8.4.
We have a BRAND NEW Netgear CG3000D-RG wireless router (modem). We have had this modem for just about two months, and have 3 laptops in the house and a XBox 360. We have screaming signal @ 50 megs. However my wifes Compaq Laptop keeps kicking her off the internet. The homepage will load, and sometimes MAYBE one more screen. But then nothing else will load, and the signal bars at the bottom right of the screen get an exclamation point. No other computers have ANY problems, nor does the XBox (which is the only thing that is actually hardwired).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a ASA 5520 which is intended to use as a VPN for clients using PDA, I think the PDA is a very old product that the VPN only support CHAP/ MS- CHAP, but seems it cannot connect the VPN, it will prompt "invalid username and password" (but in fact the username and password is valid when using PAP), below is the log i captured from the ASDM when the PDA is connecting the VPN. when i tried to connect it in windows PC, I also have the same issue if the VPN setting is using MS-CHAP, if I choose PAP, it can connect with no problem. View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving just upgraded from a WRT54G to a E2500 all I can say is that I'm disappointed with Cisco.Having spent a few hours yesterday trying to resolve issues via Live Chat (ID 130105-001270 & 130105-002081) and spending more time today - I'm truly at wits end. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable with computers and networking.I'm not sure if anyone from Cisco's Tech staff sees these posts but I don't know where else to "complain" in hopes that the next software/firmware update resolves these problem(s).
The first is my router's setup screens are totally open when using my desktop. The desktop is hardwired to the router and has the Cisco Connect software installed. I open the Cisco software and go to advanced settings. There I'm shown what my router's name is and its password. This is really strange - why would you wish to display this information PRIOR to requesting username and password? However, once there you can go right into the setup screens by clicking OK.I have also entered these screens directly without being prompted for username/password by using 192.168.1.1 or my router.local via Internet Explorer 8 or Google Chrome. At other times I am denied access because IE cannot display page.I'm concerned because I can hide the Cisco Connect software however, anyone that uses my desktop has full access to my router via the web or Cisco Connect.
The second issue is that the password to enter the router and allow access to the internet IS THE SAME! When I had my WRT54G running I had one password (8 alpha characters) to enter setup screens. There was a router generated, 16 alpha/numeric character, password to allow outside devices such as laptops, TVs and game consoles access to the internet. When I set this router up I installed the 16 character password originally used so my laptop and Wii could connect without having to fool around with their settings. Everything was fine until I went into administration and changed the password to my old 8 character one. That is when I found out that the router uses this password setting under administration to control access to the internet AND access to the router settings!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE 8. I have ensured that my browser's history and caches are clear which they do when I shut IE down. I'm running Windows XP service pack 3 with the "proper" anti-virus and anti-malware software. My system is up-to-date.I have ensured that the router is running the latest firmware 1.0.05 build 2 and software 1.4.11299.0.I have seen other posts suggesting the removal of Cisco Connect however, I feel that this is a bandaid solution.I'm not professing to be a router technician however, I "feel" the problem might be the fact that the password issue is the problem. Since the same one is being used for both accessing the router and having the router grant access to the net, my desktop is allowed to access the setup screens without being prompted for username and password.
I haven't used my Linksys WRT54G v5 wireless router for about 1 1/2 years and needed it now at a new place.I set a user name and password I've long forgotten for access to the web based security protocols for the modem and I've lost the disk for the control protocol program.I tried pressing the reset button to clear the modem and it took the WPA protocol off the modem so I can use it without any security but that's not a good thing.How do I get it freed up so I can get to the security protocols and put security back on my modem?

Configured wireless, everything OK. Funny it doesn't need a user name, only a password, my prevoius WAG160N could be configured for both.Now I want to configure the Parental Controls, BUT apart from my computer name and an Android phone name, all I see in the Target Device ADD button pop-up are a list of repeated 'Network Device'. I thought I may have better luck with the Cisco Connect software (which I didn't use to set-up the router). I downloaded the latest version 1.4.11194.0, and ran this on another computer with wireless. Apart from reconfiguring my static IP address to DHCP, and then connecting through DHCP, the software said it could not configure my router. So it never gets to a point where it installs any program on the computer so that I can configure Parental Controls. How do I get the router to show ALL the computer names in the list rather than 'Network Device' or is there a way to distinguish which 'Network Device' is which computer?
