It just happen yesterday that my brother's laptop can not connect to Wi-Fi - it could not detect any wireless in the range while my macbook can still find many wireless around here. As usual , I will use window troubleshooting. However , this case , it could not identify any problem ; it said " troubleshooting can not identify problem ". My brother's computer run on Window 7 , Hp pavillian tx 1000.
View 8 RepliesI have the same issue and have been surfing the web for the solution for quite some time. Brand new Sony VAIO laptop with blu-ray has an Intel WiFi bgn 1000 wireless network adapter. It worked fine for couple of days, until i brought it to work. We use wireless connection in our office. Maximum 7 computers are connected at a time. All other 6 laptops connect to our network with no problems (all of them are on win7x64). Now, back to the problem. Wireless works at home and at work in the evening , when no one in the office. I've removed all 3rd party software, uninstalled Intel software. Am using clean driver from the Intel website. Tried different revisions of the driver - issue is still there. I've contacted VAIO support. This is not known issue to them. They offered standard actions (unisntalling the driver, power management options, enabling VAIO Smart Network). No updates of fixes on their support website. I have also checked in the event viewer. There is only one service being enabled and disabled constantly (TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper) - which is happening at the same time with wireless drop. There are about 5-8 drops per minute. Computer browser service disabled. Firewall disabled, antivirus disabled. We assume this could be an interference with mobile diveces. While now, we have disabled all wireless cards on all computers, switched off mobile phones. And... AXAXAXAXA!!! BSOD 0x00000018 (0x000....00, 0xFFFFFA800754A750, 0x00...02, 0xFC01020EFC01020B).

Having found the network options, it seems unable to find my BTHomeHub2, although Windows 7 finds it perfectly well with 5 bars.Interestingly, the network icon in Linux only shows VPN connections and Wired connections, no wireless section. My computer is a Medion Akoya E4120 D with a Realtek RTL8191SU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter. The wireless adapter is inside the PC, attached to an internal USB port I'm guessing.So all in all, how do I get my wireless internet to work with Linux Mint 10?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus 1001 PG netbook. I am having problems with my home wifi network. When I turn on my laptop, I do not receive the signal for our home wifi network. However, I know that the network is working because other laptops at home are able to detect it. I don't think there is anything wrong with the laptop because I can still detect other wifi networks in our neighborhood. The problem only seems to be with our home wifi network. If I restart the computer, the problem is usually solved. This is not an efficient solution for me as I am used to turning my laptop off on hibernate and I don't like having to reopen all my documents.

I currently use samsung R440 laptop with win 7. The problem is right now, I can't detect any wifi connections and bcause of that, I can't acces the internet. 1) Can I just use the same upgrade procedure for ASR-1000 and ASR-1002F shelves?
2) I could not find the detailed explanations of the "show platform" command output... And I'm afraid we did something wrong with our two first upgrades since I do no have 15.0(1)S mentioned in the three last lines of the output (0, R0,F0)?

I have had this laptop for at least 3 years and it connects to any other wireless connection I've ever tried ( at my sons with Cox, every airport, overseas, and with my previous Qwest routers ). Since I moved and now have a Qwest PK5000Z router this laptop will not connect. The error message I get is " The network security key is incorrect ", but it's not of course. All other laptops I've used here connect successfully, Dell, Mac, Toshiba, etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Realtek PCI GBE Family Controller. I recently reinstalled Win7 and it loaded drivers for the card automatically. I actually didn't notice the speed issue until I went to move stuff around on the home network.
The Device Manager lists the above NIC. Under Properties I have:
Auto Disable Gigabit = Disabled
Speed & Duplex = Auto Negotiate
I tried setting Speed & Duplex to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex but I only interrupted a file transfer by doing this. (The Network icon in the System Tray indicated that the network connection was lost.)
I am using Cat5E 1 Meter or less cables. I have 2 PCS next to my desk with a D-Link Gigabit Switch sitting on top of one of the computers. AFAIK all ports on the switch support Gigabit.
Does the ASR-1000 accept an HWIC module, or must one go to a SIP/SPA for all modules?

I am running Windows Vista and we recently got a new wireless router to work with our Blu-Ray player. The desktop works, but not the laptop. I can connect to the local network, but not the internet. The laptop worked before we got the new router, and it works on another network. Our new router is a Netgear WNR-1000 v3. I get a response when I ping 127.0.0.1.

I came up with a few ideas to Load Balance based on multiple ISPs. In our network setup we have a distribution layer of 3750s going to an ASR 1000 Series Router, which goes out to multiple ISPs, ISP1 and ISP2.
we also have a virtual fortinet appliance behind the 3750. If I say all traffic going to 0 - 126 goto ISP1, and 128 - 254 goto ISP2,and then obviously whatever NATd IP the customer has (ISP1 or ISP2), the return traffic will have to go to that specific IP. The traffic will allgo back to the virtual fortinet on the same interface, so I would assume I would be safe with uPF.I don't know of any ways to load balance based on Link Optimization, without implementing a load balancer?
I've had my Vostro 1000 Laptop for almost a year now. I had to reload the O/S. I put all the CDs in and downloaded all the drives, but now I don't show the WLAN card/connection.. nothing.
I can't connect to the internet and when Iook at the network adapters it only shoes the Broadcom 440x 10/100 intergrated controller.. My modem is only showing Conexant HDA D330 MDC v.92 modem.
