View 1 RepliesI am trying to connect my Samsung TV to the internet and keep getting a message that says NEtwork setup complete, but cannot connect to the internet. I am wondering, I have 2 network connections, a secure one and unsecure. I don't have the information/password for the secure connection anymore, so I am trying to set my TV up with the unsecure network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Samsung UE46ES6300 Smart TV for my Boyfried for Christmas & we are struggling to connect it to our WiFi to use the features. Obviously I went through the procedures - Network settings, found my WiFi, typed in my Network password & unfortunately states: 'Unable to connect to the Wireless Router'. Taking into account my Virgin Media Router is directly next to my TV? The Wireless & Internet is 100% working as we have other devices running of it - I-pad, Laptop, Phones etc!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having trying to connect my Samsung Smart TV to the Internet.I purchased the Samsung EH5300 yesterday and have connected it to my router (ZyXEL P-660HW-T1) via Ethernet. This works fine and picks up all the settings (ie: IP address, gateway etc) automatically and I can connect to the Internet fine. The problem comes when I then connect any device to the router using Wi-Fi - this could be my iPad, iPhone, PC, laptop - anything will disconnect the wired TV connection immediately from the Internet but it DOES NOT disconnect it from the network. In other words, I can still see the TV in the list of devices on my router and still ping the IP from my PC. All the settings on the TV remain the same but when running the network test, it says it is connected to the network but not the Internet.I have disconnected all cables, reset the router, turned everything off and on several times, placed the Ethernet cable in different ports on the router, manually input all the IP addresses etc but none of it is working.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've Linksys EA6500 router and tried to connect my Smart TV (Samsung UE-40EH5307) via cable.DHCP server is turned on
1. TV can't get IP address
2. When I entered IP, Gateway, DNS manualy in my TV it connects to router but not to internet.
3. When I switch cable to my laptop it registered and get dynamic IP without any problem.
4. I've insert WIFI adapter into TV and it connected and got dynamic IP without any problem.
I have been trying to connect my smart tv to my wireless network for the last 3 weeks. It connects intermittently but the connection is always lost within a few minutes to a couple hours. I have turned off all of the firewalls, and all other devices connect fine. It is an ea4500 running on updated firmware and a Samsung 6900 smart tv. The connection works if I run an ehternet cable to it oith from the modem as well as from the router, but it does not work over the wireless connection.

Now, when we first arrive at school our laptops are put into a remediation mode to make sure we have virus protection and all that good stuff, and I believe that might be what is happening with the tv's internet access. Not exactly sure,
TL;DR Tv is capable for internet access but network wont let it connect
every-time i try to play a file directly from my computer through the network to my Samsung tv downstairs regardless of the file format it says file format no supported though when i plug the same file in with the usb directly through the back of the TV it plays the without a hitch
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have practically NO knowledge of networking! So I've been tearing my hair out trying to get this darn thing sorted but to no avail. So, I've bought a Samsung BD-E5500 blu-ray player which has internet capability either through Ethernet or a Samsung wireless adapter. I am not willing to spend an extra £40-£70 on an adapter and obviously don't relish the idea of running a very long cable to my router upstairs. However the general concensus is that it's possible to take a cable out of the Ethernet and into a wireless AP or router, using it as a bridge to the main wireless router. So I have tried this and failed, of course not having a clue as to what I'm really doing. I have a Netgear ME102 access point which the player can't seem to get on the network with at all and also I have tried using a Belkin F5D7632 wireless router. Now, with the Belkin router the player does say that it can access the network, however it says that it cannot access the internet. The wireless router that I have upstairs is an O2 Wireless Box 3.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased this Router about 2 weeks ago as a phased upgrade of our Home Network, primarily to enhance media streaming. It has the latest firmware preinstalled from the factory. Prior to the purchase and installation of the EA4500 Router I replaced my old Motorola SurfBoard SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem with a Motorola SurfBoard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. My old Linksys E2000 Router worked perfectly with the SB6141, with the exception that the E2000 wasn’t IPv6 enabled, but does have 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45) and Internet ports.
The EA4500 has been installed for about 10 days and seems to have improved local network speeds and I don’t seem to be having any Internet connectivity issues. However, there are some disturbing issues with the EA4500 and the AE3000 I purchased. There are 11 devices connected through the Router; a Dell Desktop (wireless with the AE3000), a Dell Desktop (Ethernet), a Dell Laptop (wireless), 2 Canon Printers (1 Ethernet and 1 Wireless), 2 Western Digital 1TB MyBookLive Network Drives (both Ethernet), a WD TV Live Streaming Media Player (wireless), an Apple TV media player (wireless), an iPad (wireless), and an Android Smartphone (wireless).
Issue 1 – The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi interface appears to be unreliable at times!!! I’ve read about this problem here on the Community involving the EA6500, so I don’t know if this is a Linksys Server issue, as suggested in a few responses, or a bug in the Router firmware, or defective hardware. However, when the interface locks up, it can’t be accessed from a wireless or wired connection. Usually, powering down the Router and then powering it back up and restart will allow it to function again. However, at times before the interface completely locks up it shows either just a white screen or the security screen will show no firewall features enabled. This is a little scary, so I’ll do a complete reset and setup; this is becoming a pain in the rear! Is there any hope for this being fixed, in this Router, not the next generation?
Issue 2 - All of my network devices show up in the Router’s Device List. Except for the Apple devices they also show up, when they are online, in Windows 7 Explorer under Network and when you click on Network they are correctly displayed as Computers, Media Devices, Network Infrastructure, or Storage. However, when you click on “Open Network and Sharing Center” and then click on “See Full Map”; it fails with the response “Windows cannot create the network map. Responses from other devices on the network are delayed or there is an incompatible router on the network”; no device map is shown. When I follow the link for more information, the only thing that stands out is “A device on the network, such as a hub or switch, is not working properly or is not compatible with the Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) protocol, which Windows uses to create the map. To fix this problem, disable the device, turn it off, or remove it from your network”. All of my network devices showed up on the Network Map with the old E2000. This issue is the same on all of my computers, either wired or wireless.
I’m having with the EA4500 and the AE3000; they are both probably going back to Amazon.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a new Samsung Smart TV but I'm having some trouble connecting to the wireless network. I have my SSID hidden, so had to enter the SSID + password manually but the TV came up with a message saying it could not connect. I have repeated this multiple times and none have worked at all. I have also tried pushing that little button on the side of the router (can't remember what its called but it lets you connect automatically to the network within a certain time window), and when this happened the TV began connecting, the network SSID showed up, but then a few seconds later it failed.I know the connection is fine as if I hold another wireless device (laptop, phone, iPod) where the TV is sitting they can connect and use the internet just fine.

This router has my desktop computer and windows 2012 server plugged into it. The server is a domain controller that has the following roles installed: DHCP, DNS, ADDS, IIS, and Remote Access. My Windows 7 Professional desktop is joined to the domain controller. The wireless router serves my netbook, smartphones, and ipods. They do not authenticate with the DC but do get a DHCP ip address from the server.I have my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone that I'd like to be able to use to VPN into my network. Here is what I have done;Disabled the DHCP service on the router. Setup port forwarding to forward PPTP to my server's static IP address on port 1723.I created a user on my DC for this purpose and enabled the account for network dialup service.I created a DHCP Relay Agent in the Remote Access MMC.I opened up the Remote Access app on the server's firewall. On my phone I setup a 'New VPN Connection...' I use the username/password of the user I created for this purpose. I put in my ip address that I have from my ISP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI may have recently bought an LG NAS (N1T1) and a SAMSUNG SMT S7800 freesat box. The NAS works well on my home network (using Windows 7 Starter), but when the Samsung box is plugged into the network via the RJ45 jack at the rear, it will see the network (ie, it is visible on the screen) but only down to the degree of a symbol. It will not allow me to browse the network - as I was hoping to use this method of getting my DVD collection (most of which is on the NAS) onto the TV. The TV is also an LG - but does not have a network connection at the back. The question is - do I have to do something in the LG NAS setup to make the network readable. Or could the problem be with the Windows 7 Starter edition.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery device I've tried to connect to my WiFi network have no issues connecting at all, except for, as far as I can tell, Samsung Android phones. My sample set is very small, but both a Samsung Galaxy S3 (both before and after custom ROM install) and a stock Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
I've tried setting a vlan up with no encryption and open authentication, and the phones just halt on "connecting". This issue is both on the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Radios.
What is working is various computers with both intel and broadcom adapters, a Brother printer, and a Motorola Droid 3 and Motorola Photon Q. I'm starting to think that it's an issue with the radio in the Samsung phones, but the S3 is 5ghz compatible and the Nexus is only 2.4, so they must have different radios. I'm also pretty sure that it's not software on the phones since the S3 had the same problem with stock ROM and CM 10, and the Nexus is Vanilla Google ROM.
I'm waiting to get a chance to upgrade to the new FW for my aironet 1040, and I'm going to fire up an old 1130AG as well as test with an iphone or ipod when I get the chance; I'd just really like to find out what the heck is going on with these samsung phones.

Looking to set up a wireless printer (HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a) for use by another computer on the network; at present the printer is wirelessly connected to the router (Linksys e1000) and the software is installed on one computer (Win 7). The router recognizes a Network printer but no details about type.
The printer works correctly with the Win 7 machine but can't be found by the other machine (Win xp). Could it possibly be that I need to install the same software on the Win xp computer in order for it to be connected? Just guessing here as that was the case with another printer I networked but it was a Canon brand.
I have some older devices on the network that only support RADIUS (not TACACS) for authentication and would like to have them use SecureACS 5.3
I understand that by default, ACS only supports TACACS for device administration. So I'll get this error when trying RADIUS:
11033 Selected Service type is not Network Access
Description:
RADIUS requests can only be processed by Access Services that are of type Network Access
Resolution Text: Verify that the Service Selection Policy rules are correct
However, even after adjusting the Service Selection rules and seeing hits, I still see the same message in the logs, as if it has no affect.
