Two Computers - Only One Will Connect Through Wireless

I have a home wireless network and my service provider is Suddenlink. I use a DLink modem and have two Tosiba laptops. All of this has been working fine until this morning when one of the laptops won't connect to the internet. when I run the trouble shooting guides on it I get messages that the problem is that the modem won't connect to the internet. However, the other laptop (this one) is working fine. when I look at the network map i see both computers and a green line to the modem. on this computer, there is also a green line from modem to internet. the other computer shows a res x on the modem to internet line. this is a sudden change i have restarted the computer the modem and the router. I can also conenect this computer to the internet via a mifi that I have but not the other laptop. there are no red x's on any of the hardware when I go to the "manage" computer.
just got internet today and set up the wireless on the router using a laptop connected through LAN. All computer now connect to the router through wireless except the the laptop that was used to set it up.
i have a laptop and a desktop, everything was working fine until i messed with something in the router settings by accident, i changed some type of security setting and then changed it back because i was testing something.. at this point i had to remake the network for some reason, whcih was no problem i put in the pin and security code and i was able to connect through my desktop with no problem.. a few hours later i realized my laptop could no longer connect.. i recieved the unable to connect error.. i read that it could be the security settings, so i assumed i switched something before by accident and i restored to factory defaults...
after i did this my laptop could connect to the internet but my desktop couldnt connect! so it basically reversed itself.. i dunno what could be the problem.. i tried 2 of the 3 authentication modes because i am afraid if i try the 3rd i will lose internet completely then i will have no clue what to do..
I have a dell desktop running windows vista that connects to my wireless router with a cable. I have an HP laptop that is running windows 7 that is wireless.When I look at network computers on the dell I get an error message that says that the computer is not accessible. The same thing happens when I try to log onto the desktop from the laptop. When I try to run the network wizard from the desktop, I see see connect to the internet, connect to a wireless router or access point, setup a dialup connection and connect to a workplace.None of them make sense but I tried connect to a wireless router and got a message that said to set it up manually or set up a flash drive, neither of which makes sense. I tried set it up manually and all that happened is the router setup screen opened up.I tried the same thing on the laptop and the setup the network wizard opened a screen that said choose a wireless router or access point to configure, but nothing ever showed up on that screen.
I have been searching the net for a hub of some sort for a home office. I need it to be able to support printers. It needs to be a wireless router and have a data storage which can be accessed by multiple computers. Like a backup. But the main thing im worried about is if it can be protected by antivirus and stuff.
I have set up a wireless network in my home using s d-link N+ 300 DIR-655 and the desktop that is directly connected to the modem and router can connect to the internet and my laptop can access the wireless network and get online but I have another desktop that cannot connect to the wireless network. It can see it but when i try and connect i get the message that it was unable to connect or sometimes that i was able to connect but have limited connectivity.
I have suddenly started having issues recognising and connecting to a wireless network at home on my laptop. We have 2 wireless networks at home as we use an additional D-Link router through the powerlines. (DHP-W307AV PowerLine Homeplug AV Wireless N Starter Kit)I used to be able to connect to both but now I can just connect to the main wireless router. Other laptops and smart phones in the house can connect to both. I was wondering if this had anything to do with Norton 360 so I have used their removal tool to get rid of it. Unfortunately I still can't connect to the second network.

I am doing support for a library that has 2 WAP2000 devices that have no security. These are for the patrons to connect to the internet at the library. They want to track how many people are connecting to the internet. Can I log how many computers connect to these access points or get another WAP that will track how many computers connect to the internet?
Here is my setup: 1- laptop1 is windows 7 with 192.168.1.1, submask 255.255.255.0 2- laptop2 is windows XP with 192.168.1.2, same submask as above. Laptop1 connects via CAT5 (non-crossover) RJ-45 into a switch (port 1). Laptop2 connects via CAT5 (non-crossover) RJ-45 into port 2 of switch. Both ends of the CAT5 are, of course, connected into each laptop's network connector.pinging resulted in timed out from both.
I have two computer but one monitor. and i wanna connect both computer with one monitor, one keyboard & one mouse. Like KVM switch. but if i connect with KVM switch then i can turn on one at a time & if i wanna use another one so i hv to turn off first one.

my three computers cannot connect to the internet, they were fine last night now it says. cannot comunicate with primary sever, do you think it is my comp or sever.
I have 3 systems. I would like to connect PC 1 to PC 2 & 3 .But not between 2 & 3. ie. 3 & 2 must be connected to PC 1. I want gigabit connection between them. The purpose is realtime streaming of audio from PC 2 & PC 3 to PC 1. The only data that goes fom PC 1 to 2 & 3 is MIDI information and automation. The problem now is that I'm having dropouts in audio, and bandwidth limitation.
whether using a dual port PCI-e lan card on PC 1 and single port card on PCs 2 & 3 or using a gigabit switch would be better. how to configure the ports for this type of a connection ( if possible that is ). Does using dedicated network cards with on-board processors and ram take all the networking load off the system's cpu and ram.
First 3 days ago i came in to my work and my 2 Desktop computers where not connecting to the internet. After trouble shooting i found that my cell phone and wireless computer would connect. then hardwiring with my cat5 cable my laptop worked as well. i couldn't connect to the router as well from the 2 Desktop computers. restarted every thing router modem computers ext. nothing.Then i tried ping tests nothing could not ping each other or the router. though the network map clealy told me the ip addresses of each computer and that it was connecting. then as though from random i tried again to log in to the router. 192.168.2.1 and one of my computers found it and could then connect to the internet.
I have a Windows 8 Pro laptop, and a new Windows 7 Laptop. When I try to setup the connection so that I can share files and folders between the two computers, I am asked for the User name and the password. I see the password in the homegroup, but entering it does nWhat is the user name in this case? My computer name or the other computer name or something else

So I set up my router and modem and I have the modem connected to the linksys router and the ethernet port to my computer. The computer with the ethernet cable works fine, but all the other laptops can not connect to the wireless.
Everything was working fine, and various computers, tablets, and even my smartphone, all hooked up to my router without any problems. Somehow, this week, first my Asus U56E wouldn't connect (before all this it was automatic), and then my Google chromebook wouldn't connect either. The Asus is my main computer. And the reason for writing. I just mention the chromebook because they both quit connecting at same time, pretty much. But still my old xp netbook connects, as does my new google nexus7 tablet. And my nexus one phone. All hook to wifi, with no problem.I tried everything I could think of: This is a Dlink Dir615 router. Even set a new wireless network up, but it doesn't seem to connect. I ran the Windows Network Diagnostics, and it reset everything, and looked like it was fixing it, but no go. It said to investigate router or access point issues. I did what it said, and what has always worked with these problems. Turned off router for about 1/2 minute, then restarted it. Then did the same with the Cox motorola modem, *and* the router, but still, just doesn't want to connect. Wireless, that is...no problem with ethernet.Finally pushed the little pin in in the back of router, and reset the router entirely. Set all up again. Same thing happens, it just doesn't seem to recognize these two computers. So just to be sure, I used my nexus one as a wifi point: and these computers hook up fine, so it seems to be something with the router. My ISP is Cox. Cable. Router D-Link Dir 615, latest firmware. Modem Cox issue Motorola Surfboard. Antivirus Microsoft Security Essentials, and Win7 Firewall (I tried with these two turned off, but still no).I include the xirrus app's output...My wireless network on that app is 'phubai' and that is the one that won't connect. I had trouble bringing it up on Xirrus, too. It would only show when I would attempt to connnect, then it would disappear again.

I just loaded up my machine with Windows Vista Home Basic and wanted to connect my another laptop to it via Wireless AdHoc network. I created a wireless adhoc network from the network and sharing center. But was unable to connect the other laptop to it. Everything is ok. My WLAN is on, drivers are also latest.[code]
My XP laptops cannot connect to my TEW-639GR router over wifi. I get the "Limited or No Connectivity Message". The same 2 XP laptops can connect if they are wired without problems.My Ubuntu computer can connect to wifi and wired without problem."Limited or No Connectivity" usually means a DHCP problem in XP. I can't connect to one website. Not on my computer, not on my father's computer. I think the network is the problem, which is why I'm posting here. The website was working even yesterday but during yesterday evening, it stopped working and it's been like that since. I don't know how to fix it. My command prompt says my server can't find that one website and says my server failed. I tried other things like scan my computer, restart it, look at my Chrome settings, my firewall settings, nothing worked. I'm not sure what's going on here, because the network is private, and the contact information for 2Wire/Pace was useless for me, so I don't know what to do.
