Wireless Devices Work On BT HomeHub But Not Samsung N150?
Feb 6, 2013
My wife has a Samsung N150 that connects wirelessly everywhere except at home. All other wireless devices work on the BT HomeHub but not the N150.We have just been on holiday and the N150 connected to everything we came across, without a hitch.
Unfortunately we are stuck with a bt homehub 2.0. We all hate this thing with a passion. We cant workout how to open the same port on 2 devices. When we try it says theres a conflict and just refuses to let us do it. So only one of us can play the game we want, without it timing out. Now I've tried the BT forums, there was no support there. I phoned up BT and to my absolute disgust, nobody there knew how to use the homehub, or simply said 'turn off the firewall'.
my netgear n150 router can not send wireless signal to devices.what is wpa or wps. how can i find my wireless user name and password. does paying 80.00 dollars to netgear solve problem.
looking for an info if Samsung SGH-1747M device running Android version 4.1.1 supported on Cisco WLC 7.4.100.0 Basically the Samsung device cannot join our test wifi (ipads and ihones are OK).
The Samsung SCH-i569 Wi-Fi can't work at the LAP1131G with WiSM. It can associate to AP and get the ip address but about one minutes ago it had deauthentication and the phone's Wi-Fi status will show scanning. The phone can work at the Autonoumous mode or other 3rd party Fat AP.
I have a problem with a samsung laptop. Everytime it connects to the home network it disconnects all the other devices on the network. I have reset router (still same problem). Sometimes it will connect for a while and when a download for updates takes place it will automatically disconnect again.
My Samsung R780 laptop is just over a year old and has had problems connecting to the internet for almost its entire life. The problem I have is that it seems to pick and choose which routers it will work with, without any logical pattern. I'm in a shared house at the moment, and the router we used to have worked OK from what I could tell (although it had a poor signal). It never actually provided my laptop with a connection unless I boosted the signal, but I assumed that was just due to the fact that it was on the other side of the house.
for some reason my laptop disconnects randomly and i cannot connect again until i go and reset the router. if i try to reconnect without reseting the router i get the message 'cannot connect to BT homehub xxx' it happens at least 4 or 5 times a day, it happened at my previous address too (completely different router & isp) im not quite sure what other info i can give relating to the matter.

I have two routers, a TP-Link TD-W8968 (main & connected to ADSL) and a TL-WR841N (client) and I'm trying to get WDS working over them in order to use my PS3/media player etc at the tv.
1) are these 2 pieces of hardware compatible for WDS? Status of both hardware seems to indicate yes 2) if compatible, what am I missing so devices behind the client router can access the internet connection.
I have just given my Mum an old Dell desktop computer of mine. She has BT Broadband with a Homehub. I have connected everything up and installed the Homehub software on the computer but when it tries to search for the network connection via the BT software, it keeps saying the network card can not be detected. The network cable is plugged in and working. All the drivers are up to date.
I am trying to remove my BT Homehub2 and replace it with a router connected to the ADSL line using RJ11 to RJ45 cable in f0/0 configured ip address 86.177.164.200.F0/1 is configured to 192.168.1.254 (current BT Homehub IP) this is connected to my 48port cisco switch in port GI1/0/48.VLAN1 set to DHCP and my host is connected to GI1/0/2 and also configured to DHCP.Ignoring the WAP for now, what am I doing wrong? I know it will be a small IP issue somewhere, do I need to configure GI1/0/48 and GI1/0/2 with IP address'? Am I using the wrong ISP address on my routers F0/0 port?
I have installed my new E4200 and it works beautifully. I have several wirelss adapters and a few wired connections through powerline adapters. I also have a second VPN router attached to the 4200.I can see the wireless connected devices with the associated IP addresses. If I plug a laptop directly into the Cisco, I can of course see it.However, I can see none of the devices attatched to the powerline devices? I have a securty cam connected via the powerline and want to know the IP address. I checked with cisco technical support via chat and they said it is impossible. I have used 2 previous routers with the same configuration and can see all devices.
All of a sudden my laptop, android phone and blu ray player (all wireless devices) can't communicate with my wired devices (marantz receiver and samsung tv). Everything still connects to the internet independently but i can't for instance play music from my wireless laptop to my wired marantz receiver. I had no trouble with this last week and didn't change anything (that I'm aware of) I did get Verizon to switch out my router but it didn't solve anything. My wife's computer also cannot connect to wired devices. Lastly, if I connect my laptop with via ethernet cable it sees wired devices fine. I tried shutting off windows firewall but didn't work. I have no other firewall/virus software installed. I can ping to all devices (wired and wireless) from my laptop.
I recently had trouble with my Comcast Xfinity internet service and called to have them send a refresh signal. I was up and running again with my ethernet, but my wireless service using a Belkin N150 wireless router hasn't worked. From everything I had read I needed to do a hard reset of the Belkin N150 router and then reconfigure it's settings. Well I did the hard reset and power cycled everything, the modem, computer and router. I then plugged in everything again and connected the modem to the WAN on the router with one cable, and the computer to the LAN on the router with another cable. (I am using a Macbook Pro operating with Mac OSX). Now I cannot connect to the url...to configure the settings on the router at all!
I think the problem has something to do with my IP address. I opened the network settings and saw that my IP address is 50.138.25.x while my Subnet Mask is 255.255.254.0 and the router is being listed as 50.138.24.x. How to change this IP address to get my router connected or could it be another problem?
I purchased a New Netgear N150 wireless Router 2 weeks ago and now my internet on my laptop keeps going down.. As Far as I can tell When it drops its still connected to the Wireless network.. it just says local only and Gives me the limited connectivity warning.. When I diagnose the issue it tells me a number of different things and it tells me to renew the IP settings and sometimes that will work and sometimes not.. The laptop is a HP Pavilion DV9000 with all original hardware.
have a TP-Link G router, was getting 736kb download, have set up a TP link N (300) but am only getting 560kb download, (my standard BT home hub N was also not as good giving me 640kb download....
with Wired conection results were.... TP-Link G - 752kb BT Homehub N - 648kb TP-Link N - 590kb
laptop - Dell XPS, with N wireless Windows Vista, sp2. used [URL] to check all the speeds.
why the TP-Link G is so much faster than both the BT Homehub N or the TP-Link N ?
I can't seem to get my Canon MG5220 Wireless Printer to connect to my Belkin N150 wireless router. The printer sees the belkin wireless router network name but cannot connect to it( after entering the correct security key). It worked fine with a previous wireless router. My desktop PC is connected to the belkin router via direct ethernet, and I want to be able to access my wireless printer which is located in another room from my PC. I think I remember reading that the canon mg5220 may not support WPA2 security, but Its only a year old and would prefer not to regonfigure my router's security setting. how I can get this printer to connect to my router?
I have a wireless router Netgear WNR1000 N150. I am wondering if I can use it as an access point/ repeater, and if I can, how to set it up. The modem provided by the ISP is in the room with the desktops; can I place the wireless router in a room
My wife has a COBY 10" netbook running Windows X home SP3., we use a NETGEAR N150 Wireless Router and for some time now, whether she boots from a cold startup or "wakes" this laptop, it has lost the network connection. It gets the "Wireless networks detected" message, sees our Security-enabled wireless network, but instead of automatically connecting, it always asks for the network key. I have a second laptop (Toshiba Qosmio) that I only use some othe time, primarily for vacations, and when I turn this on it always connects right to the network, even if we've been away and connected to a hotel network. I never have to use the key for our home network once I get back home.
She's getting pretty fed up having to constantly put in the network key on the COBY, this should be a "set it once" and it should remember it should it not? I'm sure it used to, have I missed something?
I have a d-link n150 model (wireless router) that i cannot get to pick up the signal of an 3G mobile broadband optus prepaid stick when pluged in. I have reset the router settings multiple times and nothing. Nether had a router before this one .How do i fix this problame and is it possible that the problame is in the settings of the internet stick?
after i enter the security key for my router it says it is unable to connect to the network. it also has me manually put in my ip address and it says my gateway ping is incorrect. where do i find this information
