how to setup a APC 1500 to shut down 1 or more servers.
Does the apc need usb OR does it need the ethernet card ?
Id like to setup my apc to shut down my 2 windows servers when there is a long power outage..
Under Service in Win NT 2008 server, how can I remove the auto-shut down task schedule for all students' computers in the classrooms. It always popup a message box at 5:30pm - "auto shutdown" in all workstations (win xp). How to remove that from "service" and not affecting the server to shutdown? Click where to disable/stop it?

It will shut up and say that my wireless router needs to be reset, but all other wireless devices continue to work throughout the house. I could run any amount of diagnostic but it will not fix. The only time it fixes it when it says "repair as administrator" as one of the options in diagnostic test which does not always appear. I went to school yesterday, and my laptop would not connect to the wireless network there at all, but everyone else around me connected fine.

The reproducible situation is, when I attempt a DNS zone transfer from my linux bind DNS server (A.A.A.A) to any server on my network behind NAT (Y.Y.Y.Y) the first packet (Seq 1) of the response is lost. The client making the query asks for first packet (Seq 1) to be resent, and the DNS server attempts to resend it repeatedly, but those are lost too.

So I activated DCR as seed, but cant skip SNMP settings without an entry. But in this case I would need 1500 SNMP-lines that would be very unhandy. is in CSDiscovery-Settings a possibility to can leave SNMP settings untouched so it takes the credentials from the DCR, to can start DCR discovery?

The laptop originally came with Windows Vista Basic edition. I have tried installing the driver for Windows XP from the original drivers CD that came with the laptop and also by downloading it from Dell's Web site. The driver program installs without giving an error, but after installation the device remains nonfunctional and the Device Manager shows no information about the wireless hardware.
My system spec's are as follows:

As per doucment i have to enable Zero touch configuration in bridging. But bridging option is not their in wlc, wlc is running on 7.0.220

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have the same machine, same problems. After a reformat, WindowsXP would not reload drivers (from the OEM software provided by DELL). I reinstalled (in order) with a fair amount of difficulty got them all to load EXCEPT for the network adapter. I've download the adapter software AND driver; still no luck. Still working on this bugaboo. Incidentally, what saved me with the other drivers (yellow question marks on Base System Device controller, ethernet, PCI, SM Bus, etc) is that I had run a Belarc Advisor utility printout prior to the reformat. So now I at least had something to compare the before and after reformat with.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to Upgrade my NCS to version 1.1.0.58. Actually my NCS is in the version 1.0.1.4 and i have a lot of templates configured and 1500 Access Points applied.
I have 5 WLCs and will do too the upgrade in the WLCs to version 7.2.130.0.
Will I lose some configuration with these upgrades ? Because the version 1.1.0.58 has more features than version 1.0.1.4 in the NCS and the WLC was adjusted some bugs.
The configurations that i has in the NCS version 1.0.1.4 is H-REAP and in the version 1.1.0.58 will be the FlexConnect, theoretically is the same, but i don't know if the configuration is the same in the two versions.
Can i do a downgrade in the NCS from version 1.1.0.58 to 1.0.1.4 if i have problems ? I was looking for a document who show how can i do this, but i didn't find nothing about.
I have a Inspiron 9400/E1705 laptop with the Dell Wireless 1500 802.11n WLan card when I try to use the utility I get an error message that the internal settings are bad and to restart the computer to fix. It does not fix this. I am currently using the windows wireless to control the card. Is there a way to fix this, It used to work fine just when I downloaded the R151519 update now even when I use a previous update I still get this error. The driver is Broadcom dated 10/12/2006 version 4.100.15.5

SM Bus Controller
Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
Since I can't get onto the internet from that computer, where to go to get the drivers for these to download.
got an old Dell Vostro 1500.
(BTW, I saw in the specs of the 1500 that it has Dual Core proccessor, but his is Centerino. How come?)
I formated his computer due to slow-speed among other problems, and did clean install of Win XP Pro.
Now I d/led all the drivers from Dell's site regarding the Vostro 1500, and installed them.
My problem is: Windows doesn't recognize a wireless adapter on the laptop.
Network Connections has only 1394 and LAN options.
In the 'Device Manager' I've got a question mark on "Network Controller" and on "SM channel".
I've tried to manually install Dell Wireless driver - no success.
Tried to set the laptop to ignore the Wireless switch through the BIOS - still havn't got any sign of Wireless adapter in Windows.
BTW - in the BIOS menu - I see "Dell Wireless" under "Wireless" property.
computer keeps restarting whenever i connect my network cable.
