Email works, pinging www.google.com works, but cannot get anything with browser. I was using Chrome. But having same issues with IE and Mozilla. Second computer on network is not having any issues.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi share internet with my neighbor (we split the bill) and every so often like in the last 2 days, and usually not again for another 3 weeks for 2-3 more more days each time, am not able to browse(ff, chrome, ie) or use windows live messenger, but yet if i turn on bittorrent, the downloads are fine, the trackers don't update, but DHT and peer exchange update fine.And also, i can get on Gameranger (which uses UDP port 16000) and play games, and this happens to all 5 computers on the network, (4 wireless at my house[3 XPs 1 Win7] and one wired at her house[Win 7]), so it's not something on the computer, also, usually when i check my router the subnet is usually 255.255.255.0 but this morning before i came to work i noticed it was 255.0.0.0 , not sure if that matters, this has been happening for months, usually between every 3-4 weeks, we have no browser and msn use for 2-3 days?

The pc won't even acknowledge that they are pluged in, but the lights on the card are flashing. Had it working once but when I moved it to my desk and booted it up nothing worked again. The PC will boot and run fine but no web. Clean install of XP and all is the same!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two PCs with the same problem. The ethernet port on the motherboard does not recognize an Internet connection. I'm running Win 7 64 bit Pro on both. My older PC needs to have the enternet cable disconnected before Windows boots, then once the OS is all booted, I plug the ethernet cable back in and I get an internet connection. On my new PC, I had to go into Device Manager and delete the ethernet card ( not the drivers) then reboot. Windows then recognized the card and connection and the Internet works. What is causing this? One PC is an Intel I-7 quad core, the new one is an Intel I-7 six core. Both hardwired to the Belkin N router. My old XP PCs do not have this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed w8 2 hours ago. I just hate they messed with evething but that is not the problem. Aftyer that I haven't beeb able to connect to Virgin broadband. I have to use a donle because my pc has not a wireless adapter. After installation it looks the dongle don't work because not lights come out of it (always b4 there was a light). I talk to someone on the phone but couldn't resolve the problem. They are just going to send a new one. At the moment I'm using 3 mobile wich I cancelled in favour of Virgin wich is not really so good. The is up to 60 Mb but it never goes over 10 MB.

The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.
It started when I couldn't connect to a specific website for 2 days. I had to change my IP to get on again, and when I did I got a message from the admin saying that I had been blocked automatically because my browser was using upwards of 200 connections at a time. He made me check all the browser settings for it, and everything was still set at default. I didn't download any program or add-on, I did nothing special. It started out of the blue. I did virus scans, I reinstalled firefox and opera (the browsers I use). At this point I have no clue what the problem is.

View 14 Replies View RelatedLet me start with what the problem is. Some pages like google open very fast while some takes a lot of time and sometimes do not load at all.I tried pinging certain websites along with mygame website mabinogi.nexon.net and the request timed out. I tried a few solutions
1) Switched browser and it didn't seem to work (Even the client I use for the game Mabinogi disconnects every 5 to 10 mins)
2) Tried changing the DNS to OpenDNS and it still didn't work
3) Tried using network on safe mode with networking and still I got the same result. That is some pages take a lot of time while others load soon.
I am experiencing the same problems except different setup. I use avg and spybot as my security.The problem is that I cannot use any browser be it firefox or chrome or IE. I can't even update my avg or spybot. I can type in my router and get that. I have a laptop, which I am using now, that is working fine with the internet. Even my 360 is able to connect so I can watch netflix.I have "flushed" the connection, I have used winsock, and macshift. I'm running AVG and Spybot with spybot coming back clean but I have a gut feeling it won't work.I have run sfc /scannow and there is some files missing. I inserted my original disk into the cd-rom and refuses to detect the cd after so many tries. I reset the router and computer several times.
