I have intel Atom system, i installed windows xp sp2,i connected to internet but my browser doesnt works, i checked my modem, cable all are working fine then i pinged my ip in cmd and default gateway and website they are ping perfectly but i cant browse in ie, firefox,Even i replaced operating system but it doesn't work.

I've been following those instructions to set a dir-615 as a wifi access point connected to a switch : [URL]. I am now able to connect to the 615 either by wifi or by typing it's ip address with another computer connected to the LAN. Connecting to the 615 by wifi, i can do a ping request to urls or receive and send mail with my e-mail client but i can't access websites using my browser.s it possible to get it working without installing some kind of modified firmware? I tried plugging the Internet ethernet cable in the LAN and Internet ports of the 615, none works.

Both PC's is connected to the same router via ethernet.Now PC number two has internet access and works great, but PC number 1 also shows "Internet Access" in the system tray and also in the network map, it shows that it is connected to the internet. But when I open ANY browser(FF, IE, Chrome) it cannot connect to the internet. Skype also cannot connect. As I said, the other PC (PC2) can connect fine and has the exact same setup as PC1. However, on PC1, when I manually connect via a dial-up broadband connection using the SAME username and password to my ISP as I used in the router config, it connects. The problem is that it loses the connection every 2 minutes or so...(failed to connect...redialing...). What I can do on PC1 to make it connect to the internet via the router the same way the other PC does?
Also, the two PC connects fine over the LAN between each other, but as I said, PC 1 cannot connect to the WAN the same way PC2 does. Things I tried: I did a TCP/IP stack repair and rebooted. Nothing. I disconnected the 'working PC' from the LAN, nothing. I uninstalled the Antivirus and Firewall, nothing...

The address to access the router was always http://10.0.0.2 and that has always worked. A dialog box would appear asking for a username and password. Now it doesn't even reach that screen. Using IE 10, Chrome, and FireFox all give me no response. I type in the address and the web page never changes. It keeps me at the home page of my browser. I do not get any errors or messages.
Also I tried to use the DHCP Reservation page, and the names of the devices will not allow spaces or any special characters. Sure would be nice to allow such.

I keep getting the "Problem Loading Page" dialogue - the address has not been changed from the default 192.268.1.1
So far I have tried it in Windows & Ubuntu, and in Firefox, Chromium and Explorer. I have sone a hard rest and rebooted it and the computer numerous times.
if I ping that address there is no result, but I obviously have internet access.
I recently had a vendor configure our 2 firewalls (ASA5520). We are replacing a active-failover PIX525 firewall in 2 locations. After the vendor configured the new ASA5520's, I was unable to access the ASDM. The configurations are a basically modified versions of the config on the PIX525. I did find that they did not set the ASDM image path. [code]
I have tried from my browser as well as downloading and installing th ASDM on my computer.
I upgraded a Catalyst 2950 switch and there wasn't enough room so I deleted the flash. The upgraded went well using tftp. It booted up fine. The I0S version includes crypto. But, I can't access switch via web browser or CNA. Port scan shows port 80 0pen. What am I missing?

In the company I work for, employees' internet traffic is monitored, and if you download too much, you get a warning, and later there might be more serious consequences. But they don't tell how many kilobytes are too much, and they also don't tell, how much of your "kilobyte budget" you have spent already. So I want to be able to monitor my own internet activity. However, all the programs I found so far watch the whole traffic going through the network card, which, beside the internet usage, includes LAN and mail server communication, which don't count. So, I'm looking for a free portable program that can monitor specifically my browser's internet usage, i.e. the number of kilobytes sent and received by the browser application. It is imperative that the program should be portable, or at least installable without administrator privileges, because I don't have that.

We don't have an 'IT Department' as such as I'm the closest thing to it.When a browser is opened it will not connect to the homepage, or if it does its generally from cache, instead an error message about not being able to connect to server will appear. Now if you hit refresh you might or might not connect to the webpage in question but you can gurantee that it will take a long time to make that connection even on an undemanding site like wikipedia.The odd thing is that when connected to a speed checker it gives no surprising results, speed is normal. Also when downloading a file or the latest linux live distribution torrent I can achieve maximum speeds available to us.We use a selecction of Macs & PCs mostly connecting through ethernet cabling although connecting wirelessly is no different. We use BT 2Wire 2700HGV Business Hubs. I can't think of any changes our end that have happened to cause this and our internal network connections run just fine. I have tried pinging from the command line and it looks ok to my limited expertise, no lost packets.
