CPU Is Not Detecting Networking Hardware?
Aug 27, 2011When i try to go online it says that i dont have a connection, and that it does not detect any networking hardware. How do i fix this?

Windows 7 Not Detecting Any Networking Hardware
Jan 4, 2011This is my first post in which I'm looking for some assistance to the above problem I'm having with my new Packard Bell iMedia PC. I am unable to connect to the net through this PC, however, the net connection is working fine as I am currently connected wirelessly via my netbook.The icon on the tool bar has a red cross indicating that I'm not connected, when I click on the icon it tells me no connections are available.When I try to connect to the net via the PC through the control panel, a message pops up saying' Windows did not detect any networking hardware'. When I try and acces the basic information and set up connection page, a msg states 'The dependency service or group failed to start.

Jan 21, 2012Bought a new com done setup put a disc in thought it was Microsoft works however it was windows 7 and deleted the other version on there and put the new one on now it says Windows not detecting any networking hardwear. And I have all the yellow ! On network adapters.

Oct 23, 2011I recently installed a very basic version of XP on my old laptop (Gateway MT3707).After hours of searching for the correct drivers, I found them, and installed them. After installing the correct drivers for wireless internet I was able to pull up the list and find my network on it.When double clicking on our wireless network it asks for a network key (also called WEP key or WPA key).Now we have a password for our network, but after an exhausting amount of tries that won't work. I not sure if that is what its looking for. In our apartment we run mac OSX, windows vista, etc., but usually the password for the network is satisfactory. I have never ran into this problem.I hate to be a noob, but I don't know where to go from here.

Mar 2, 2011Having some serious problems on the networking front here at home. I have 3 PC's and 2 Xbox's that run constantly. Our Internet bandwidth is Insight's 50.0 which is 50Mb download speed 5Mb upload speed. The problem we're having is this. Ever since we upgraded from dual 20Mb lines on a Cisco RV042 to a 50Mb on a DIR-655 we've been having latency issues. I have everything turned off in the router. It's basically there to give out IP numbers and thats it. All security is handled from the PC's themselves. Bandwidth tests are fine, I sustain download speeds above 7MB/s using download managers. But pings are terrible. Xbox live is terrible, PC online gaming is terrible. Pingtest.com is terrible. Only when behind routers. I've tried it behind 3 seperate routers. The DIR-655, the Belkin f5d8236 that insight provided me, and the cisco rv042 originally used for dual wan routing. all of which are met with serious failure.
If I plug directly in to the modem pings are fine. Add a router and pings go to shit.
PC Not Detecting Wireless Networks
Oct 29, 2011My PC usually shows me a list of wireless connections when i click on that icon.Today, however, it is not showing the list and displays the following message instead:'windows cant configure this wireless connection.' no list, so i am not able to connect to my network.i tried setting up a wireless network through wizard but to no avail. I dont know why this is happening. i got a new wifi modem. i cant even blame the new connection alone, because before that my pc at least used to show other inaccessible wireless networks in the list. but today it shows nothing.i have a windows xp.

Nov 16, 2011I have an issue with the Wireless Network. I have an old Compaq Presario V2000 laptop with WIN XP SP3. I formated the laptop OS and installed all the required drivers. I have a Dlink DIR 300 wireless router to connect to the Internet. I switched on the Wireless button; When I tried to connect to my network in Network connecction, I can't see my SSID displayed in available netowrk connections, though I can see others available connection there. I checked, whether my Router is broadcasting the SSID or not, and yes it is broadcasting. I tried with the security type as "WPA-PSK" with AES as well as with "WPA2-PSK" with AES, nothing worked for me. FYI, my room mate can easily access the network on his Sony Vaio CS 15 laptop with any of these two security type.I am fed up . I tried rebooting the router as well as my laptop multiple times.When I manually connect to my network SSID from "Wireless Network" tab in connection configuration, I see a "X" sign over my SSID with a Tower mark.

Both have All Printer and file sharing Enabledhe desktop cann see the Laptop in 'Network' but not the other way around. However, even though I cannot see the Desktop from the Laptop's 'Network' I can access the public folder of the desktop by using : \desktop-pcuserspublic command in cmd or search.Now why Is the Desktop not visible on the Laptop's network(though I can access it) and why can't the Desktop access the Laptop's shared public folder even though it can see it in his network?

Nov 14, 2012I have a Lenovo laptop, and all of a sudden the wireless just vanishes.I notice that just before it cuts out, the music I am playing stutters for about 10 - 15 seconds before it happens. when it happens it cant detect any wireless and when i try to trouble shoot the issue it just tells me to plug in an ethernet cable. I check the wireless adapter settings in the device manager and it's working fine, I uninstall and re install. same problem.what I do find is, if I put the laptop to sleep and wake it up, it SOMETIMES works, but I can be doing this for 20 minutes or after one attempt another weird thing is, if I start it in safe mode it works fine. I have tried to look for all solutions on the web, tried everything, nothing works. currently it's working, but who knows it may cut out at any point..

May 30, 2012Just re-installed windows on a laptop i got, i got all the drivers installed, but i cant seem to get the wireless card to show up, i know it has wireless because it was my moms laptop before she got a new one. Ive gone to dell support site and literately downloaded all the drivers on the page. Device manager doesn't seem to be detecting the card at all, the dell Wlan utility wont even start ive reinstalled the driver multiple times i even tried the intel site for drivers.
The big problem is i don't know what wireless card it is and its hard to find out because the support pdf for the laptop shows multiple possible cards.

Serial Port Is Not Detecting The Fax Modem?
Apr 13, 2012serial modem US robatics 5686G is not detected on windows server on serial port com1. i tried to restart the server . turn the modem on and off disable the com1 port reenable it again . update the firmware of modem on different workstation and connect it back to server ( couse it's working on another workstation so it's not the modem) i really don't know what to do is there a trick for this like in registry or somthing in mouse settings that mouse could actully detected on com1 and don't let the modem to show up on device manager? by the way modem cable is serial cable i tried to change the cable as well non of my ways works?

Dec 2, 2012I am using a gateway nv53a laptop with windows 64 bit. I actually have 2 of them. Internet worked fine for a couple years then it just stopped. I cannot connect through wired or wireless. Icon says no connections are available. When I trpubleshoot it says there is no driver installed. I have already tried downloading and installing the drivers. In the device manager it doesn't even have network adapters listed unless you go to view and show hidden. Then it only lists a bunch of miniports and a teredo tunneling pseudo interface. No network adapter is listed. I have do a factory reset and have even taken the wireless card out of my other laptop and installed into this one and it still doesn't recognize it. Running out of options.

Oct 29, 2012I turned on my PC this morning and I found I could not connect to the Internet. I have a few other computers and devices in the house that are ALL connecting to the Internet fine. I've tried basic things like unplugging /re-plugging the Ethernet cable, resetting router, attempting to set up a new network, system restore, running norton anti-virus to detect any potential problems etc all of which haven't resolved the issue.
I also checked my device manager to see if my drivers were up to date and I found that under 'Other Devices' my Network Controller stated that the drivers were not installed. I'm not sure if this is the issue (considering my Internet was working absolutely fine less than 24hrs beforehand) but I can't search the Internet to automatically find the driver for obvious reasons.
I found a few people suggesting to use the hardware id to find the appropriate driver, any direct link to the driver. My network controller hardware id is below:
