Router Stopped Detecting Wire Connected From POE Adapter
Nov 8, 2012I have a router setup that worked for me for months, suddenly, it stopped detecting the wire connected from the POE adapter.When the wire is directly connected to my pc, the connection works and i have internet. But when thru the router, the WAN Light is not even lit.Btw, just for checking purposes, I tried connecting a wire from my pc to the router wan port, and the WAN light lits up.

What I'm trying to do: I currently have a Linksys E1000..I have two computers that access this point via built in adapters in the computers. In another room are my gaming consoles and television that I would like to hook up to the internet as well. Is there a wireless adapter that will pick up my Linksys E1000 signal and let me plug ethernet cords into it so my consoles and television can access the network?

I moved the parts I'd installed in it over the years to the new build, plus the wireless card that came with the Pavillion. Strangely, with the same drivers and setup, the card refuses to find any WiFi signals - not the one it was connected to prior to the move nor the other networks around the area. Changing the drivers, uninstalling the device, rebooting - nothing will work. The symptoms are exactly the same as when I moved the card to another slot on the Pavillion.
