Well while browsing net on my mobile/laptop suddenly the Wifi get disconnected. But the wifi of access point does not drops. Its connected to the router in which wifi drops.Also the net on my desktop connected to the router via ethernet cable, does not go offline. I re,ain connected to net via Desktop even when wifi drops.
View 14 RepliesSo here's my issue, I just bought this EA4500 so I could use the 5.0 Ghz and get a new 2.4Ghz as my old Netgear would drop the signal on a fairly regular basis. I've set the channel on 2.4 to 1, 20 Mhz Channel, and my neighbors are for the most part using channels 6 and 11 (one guy is using channel 2 at 40Mhz but has a very low signal strength). The signal drops out sometimes as often as every 5 minutes, and now it is doing it on my new router. Here's the kicker, the 2.4 band falls out from my router and some of my neighbor's routers, no new signal seems to come up, but the 5.0 band on the EA4500 is just fine, as is the wired route. Is the 2.4 band just being assaulted at my home and I'll have to deal with it, or is it that my new router, old router, and my neighbor's routers, all suck, and we should all get refunds? Any solutions to troubleshoot this beyond running a netstumbler like software, setting hard channels (including width), and long hours of trial and error? I am running this all from my macbook air, the 5.0Ghz is at 40Mhz, is the only signal, and is on a fixed channel.

No problems except that when on the internet the web pages will suddenly drop to the bottom of the page and it is almost impossible to scroll back to the top. This is intermittent. It didn't happen the first week I had it and I have never had that problem with my laptop. Also, the cursor seems to want to move around when in areas that I am going to type in, like to do a search or put in the site name or such. All security is in place, Dell facilitated me with that via the phone.

Problem:The end devices suddenly drop connection. Wired connection works just fine. The DROPPED device can not be reconnected. On MAC I get AUTH time out. I see the SSID being broadcasted from my HTC wireless analyster so radio may not be the problem. I changed to set the speed to G only or N only but not avail. ONLY way to recover from this is rebooting the router.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to have an HP Pavillion p6340f desktop computer, and then I decided to build my own. I moved the parts I'd installed in it over the years to the new build, plus the wireless card that came with the Pavillion. Strangely, with the same drivers and setup, the card refuses to find any WiFi signals - not the one it was connected to prior to the move nor the other networks around the area. Changing the drivers, uninstalling the device, rebooting - nothing will work. The symptoms are exactly the same as when I moved the card to another slot on the Pavillion.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have experienced some strange behavior of WiFi connection using WRT320N router. ISP provides me the internet in 2 modes (day and night). During day mode max speed is 24 Mb/s and during night 60 MB/s. Modem ADSL (Cisco EPC3010) is connected to Linksys WRT320N and on router is configured WiFi.Now issue. In the day mode everything is perfect. Cable connection gives me 24 MB/s and WiFi connection around 22 MB/s so not so bad. However when my internet speeds up to 60 Mb/s (cable connection via router gives exactly 60), WiFi connection instead speed up as well, just drop to max 17 Mb/s. I have tied several different settings on the router including changes in WiFi band, channel width, different channels (now channel is setup to 1 which is maybe not totally free but no so occupied) and others but unfortunately without significant improvement (in many cases connection just slowed down more).

My laptop was able to connect to this network in the place i am renting in.Then one fine day, it just stopped and gave me a Yellow triangle with Exclamation mark.Says that i have limited connectivity and unable to identify network.I have tried everything i could by the looks of it, other thangetting my hands on the router/modem thingi (it is not mine and belongs to the landlady+her son).I have even tried to connect using a usb wifi thngi(dlink) but still the same problem.I am able to connect to that same network via my iphone 4 and i am able to connect my laptop to the internet via that same iphone 4 using the iphone as a wifi hotspot(pdanet).So i use the phone to catch the wifi and broadcast to my laptop.I have a second laptop that can also connect to the wifi just fine.
I have an ADSL connection through Canal Digitaal, which I believe uses the KPN network. My Zyxel 2601 modem/router is usually accessed at 192.168.1.254. The following devices are connected to it: two iphones, a Macbook Air, an Apple TV 3 and a Mac Pro.all devices except the Mac Pro. Looking closer I found in their respective settings that they connect to 192.168. 2.254. All have somehow been assigned IP addresses on the 192.168.2.xxx network. The Mac Pro remains on the 192.168.1.xxx network.Going to 192.168.2.254 launches a login page for a KPN router called Arcadyan ARV7519 which is on ANOTHER SSID than my wifi network. Nevertheless, all my devices say they are connected to my network SSID but with IP addresses in the 192.168.2.xxx range.Does it have to to with the channels used by the respective routers or is there some phishing or such going on? What can I do to ensure that my devices stay on my Zyxel network?Weirdly, the SSID of the Arcadyan router doesn't normally show up in my list of nearby networks. It only shows sometimes.Also - in case it is relevant - when I try to access 192.168.1.254 from my Mac Pro I am able to log in, meaning I reach the welcome page of my Zyxel router though it takes a very long time for it to load.

This morning my internet was unreliable, and dropping every minute or so. Trying to trouble shoot, I switched the router off then on again. Now I have no wireless signal between my laptop and router. The router doesn't seem to be recognising the security password. I have not changed the password - this is still the original password for the router. Other devices are still talking wirelessly to the router.
I use a laptop and recently the wifi has stopped working for me. I can still connect completely but it says with "limited access," which results in me being unable to access the internet at all. The rest of the computers in the house work fine on the wifi and I double-checked the securtiy settings (WAP2 and all that) and it seems fine. What can I do? Tethering to my phone allows me to get on the internet and the computer connects successfully, but no websites will load whatsoever.

Typically the computer will connect and then the connection will drop and Windows will display the yellow error triangle on the wifi signal strength display.I have swapped the router with another brand new E4200 with the latest firmware but am still having this problem.

It was working then out of know where i logged off and logged back in when i changed classes and it doesnt work anymore. In the device manager it says it is installed but cannot start.
(Before this I was able to connect with wifi almost instantly without a problem.)
I was using the Internet fine lastnight switched on my acer laptop this morning and wasnt connected to the router. I tried connecting but it just fails. I'm still able to connect with my iPad and iPod. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the network adapter however this fails to successfully install. I've searched for hours but can't find a solution. I'm also unable to reset the router etc because I live in china and the router is in a roommates room whose door is locked.

how to use a computer in the time before Windows, comfortable with using command prompt. Have fixed many issue over the years with old and crappy computers, through research. Not very familiar with wireless connections. Last week laptop started freezing on Windows load, going automatically to safe mode. If I restart the computer after loading in safe mode, Windows opens fine the second time. Have tried stopping all other programs from loading at start up. If I do a system restore, everything works fine for a few days, then starts freezing on Windows load again. When Window does load I get the application error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002) click ok to close. but can still log in to Windows. Also, When I plug my cell phone, via USB to computer it charges fine and can upload and download between the phone and laptop, however, if I connect a (USB) thumb drive I cannot open the folder, save to it or open from it. This is the issue I wish to fix first so I don't have to keep switching between my ancient and slow CPU and my Laptop trying to fix the above problem(s): Laptop recently stopped connecting to home WiFi (automatically or manually.) Ran troubleshooters, suggested I do a full power off the router and turn it back on. Did that still not connecting. Did a full power off of laptop and modem and router and restarted everything. Still doesn't work. Used manual Diagnostic tool and it fails the association test, suggests that I check the profile. I don't know much about wireless as I said, so I do not know what profile I need to check or where it is located.The laptop does connect sporadically to the internet at home, via WiFi, for a few minutes at a time on its own, according to the wireless network connections. During this time I see one of two messages in wireless network connections: Unidentified network or limited access. If I go into the network sharing centre it says I am connected to an unidentified public network and shows that this network is not connecting to the internet. If I use the manual diagnostic tool at this time it passes the association test but fails the ping test.
Distance from the router does not seem to make a difference.Often when it is disconnected I cannot even see my router in the list of available wireless network connections.I can connect wireless to the router from my phone and have had no problems even while the laptop is unable to connect and the old CPU I am currently on, which is a wired connection, has had no trouble either. Other things I tried:I've scanned for hardware changes in my network connections: none and tried updating my driver software: nothing to update all are enabled.
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 laptop and Window 7. During connectivity of my wireless connection with wifi router, wireless connection is suddenly down although wireless work fine. View 11 Replies View RelatedI've had an E4200v1 in use as my home's main router for about 3 mos. And while many others have reported disconnect problems (I think), I myself have never seen any. My router and its N & G wifi networks have been rock solid. Until yesterday that is.Now all of a sudden, most of my family is complaining about wifi disconnects, slow speeds, etc. (My primary PC is hard-wired so I don't see any problems whatsoever... the problem apears to be wifi-only)And the Apple devices (OSX & IOS) seem to have the most severe problems. But Windows devices have also seen problems, just not as critical.Also, it's worth noting that I've been running 1.0.04 the whole time, without any problems... it seemed relatively stable to me. That is until yesterday.
I've bounced the router, I've disabled/re-enabled Wireless G network. I've switched mode from "mixed" to "G-only" back to "mixed". I've changed the channel width back to the default of Auto (I had been using 20Mhz), which increased my throughput (as measured by Qcheck) so I'm leaving it "Auto".
