I cant access microsoft webpage. I have fresh copy of win XP pro SP3, IE 8, and connected through an updated Vodafone ADSL modem through ethernet. Strange thing is, I can access bank, tv over internet, etc. except MICROSOFT webpages.

I want to connect it to one of the ports from a CiscoASA5505 router because I need to connect 4 additional PC's and the ASA is out of available ports.I am trying to connect it through an ethernet port from my laptop.At first I configured the TCP/IP settings as getting the IP and DNS's automatically and but I was able to enter the setup by entering the default IP address (192.168.1.1).After 10 minutes it got disconnected and could not connect again.I get Status: Limited or no connectivity.If I try to type the IP address manually (192.168.1.1) I can ping the router successfully but the setup webpage never opens.what I need to do in order to access the setup webpage when I connect the router directly to my laptop?

It works fine with the ethernet cable. It works fine wirelessly if I use my mobile phone as a hotspot as it's a HTC HD 2 and works as a router on the go, through the phone's internet. I've restored the computer to the earliest date available and no luck.

Goes to "CERTIFICATE NOT VALID" then click through that, and the the login page will not come up. Sceen flashes a hint of blue background, then turns white, then just sits there saying "Waiting for response from ???.???.QuickVPN will sucessfully connect and I can use all computers behind the router. Just cannot access the Webpage of the remote router. I can access the Webpage of the local router.Also, when I hookup using QuickVPN from an "Internet Cafe" that is using a Netgear router. I have called Cisco on this with no luck. They said to update my JAVA. I am currently JRE 6 Release 30 and still no luck. The Log files reveal nothing and are darn near unreadable since there is no line breaks in the log file. Have to manually edit the log to pick stuff out.

I kept getting the 401 authorization required message. After all that I reset my router and used the disk to setup again. After that I went again to the 192.168.1.1 and got the request for authorization, entered admin in the PW and it does nothing, just reloads the request and browser keeps connecting. I have WIN 7 HP, use Firefox 5.0 mostly, but tried on IE8 as well and it does the same thing. I am attempting to open a port.

I set up my network, changing the password for the router, and I change the SSID, as well as the encryption password. When I set it up, and after changing passwords etc. I always log off, go back and log on, and it works fine. Once I set up the network, over time, I'll notice a device will no longer connect via wireless. When that happens, I try to log on to the router, and can not connect to the router using either Firefox or IE. When I try, I get Internal Server Error, or just nothing. I can ping the router, and if I run an IPCONFIG at this point, the default gateway does show 192.168.1.1. Every time this starts to happen, I must do a hard reset of the router. Once I do this, I can connect, and log on using the default settings, and re-set everything. This is a HUGE pain, as it takes a lot of time, and happens way too often.

When I select the settings link it attempts to open the page but then the lights on the adapter start to flash and it seems to lose the connection with it ....... The other links e.g. status, information and security seem to work OK provided they are aceessed before I select the settings link. One the lights have started to flash I have to switch off the adapter and switch back to restore the connection to the network. The adapter is connected to a BTHomehub. Other than this issue the printer works fine through the network.

I have installed 3 virtual pc of which 2 are windows server 2008 named srv1 and srv2, the third virtual pc is running windows XP professional services pack 2 with the host operating system being windows 7.I have installed Microsoft loop-back adapter and i am trying to network the 3 virtual pc and the host.
srv1 ip address is 192.168.2.200
srv2 ip address is 192.168.2.201
wk1 ip address is 192.168.2.10
host pc's ip addresss for the loopback adaptor is 192.168.2.5 when i check the workgroup i see only srv1 and srv2 i am only able to ping srv1 and svr2, the rest are unreachable.

The hours between my ACS and the AD lost synchronize, for that reason the user in my network can't authenticate in the Solution. when i see the hours was different for the AD in 5 minutes, i have to force again the common ntp server 172.25.0.34 (which is ip ntp server). I don´t know why is the reason for lost synchronize, maybe could be a bug.. or samething that i have to configurate in the ACS or AD.

But that's not enough. My client needs to limit who can and can't establish VPN session, I mean, the way it is now, EVERY single employee can do that if his/her credentials are valid in the Active Directory domain controller. So I need to do two things:
1) Using the Microsoft NPS server, via dialin attribute, allow or deny VPN sessions using ACS/ASA;
2) Using the company user credential attribute to identify which Authorization Group the requesting user should be in, Downloadable ACLs will then be applied according to the access policies created for each company.

Since the initial setup ( I was walked through the setup via Linksys support) I cannot access windows update, (the error screen tells me to restart my computer, "Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer", and I have done so 25 times) and I cannot update my Microsoft security essentials. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am transitioning from a Microsoft ISA server to a Cisco ASA 5510. So far so good, until it comes to getting AAA functioning properly. I have a Microsoft IAS server that is functioning properly, however when I try to test it through the ASA's ASDM it errors out. When I run a packet trace it shows it's being blocked by the dreaded implicit ACL. The funny thing is that I can ping and traceroute to the IAS server from the ASA. I found numerous config examples for AAA using IAS, but still not working.
Could it possibly be behaving this way because my ASA and my IAS server are on two different internal netowrks? (172.31.1.x-ASA, 10.1.1.x-IAS)
