Can't Connected To Wireless Or With DSL - Get An Error Message Saying Invalid Ip Adress Configuration?
Jan 19, 2011
computer was working fine a few days ago, all of the sudden not able to get online anymore at all, recieve error message 651 with dsl connection, and when trying to connect to wireless get an error message saying invalid ip adress configuration,
ipconfig/all reveals:
C:Usersygydfre>ipconfig/all
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : bygydfre-PC[code]......
I recently bought the E2500 Router and I am using the EA2500 Adapter with it . I have this set-up on 2 Desktop PC's . 1 Pc is working just fine with this set-up . The other keeps giving me an Error message of "Invalid Key Manual" . What does this mean ? The adapter is working because it does find the Router as a usable connection . It just isn't able to connect to it and keeps giving me the same Error message .
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium -- Service Pack 1, 64-bit Browser: IE 9 Computer: Dell Studio 1745
I am receiving an error message window titled "Wireless Configuration" with the following message:
"OLE initialization failed. Make sure that the OLE libraries are the correct version."
I cannot find anything about updating OLE libraries in Windows 7. I have not installed any new software, and my computer is barely 2 years old. I do not find it a coinicidence that my free Dell tech support expired last month, and now I'm having issues with the Dell wireless card.
i just deployed Cisco NAC version 4.8.1 Virtual Gateway OOB on a LAN envieronment and on a WLAN envieronment, it works fine for some users , they can authenticate via the agent or web page, and then they are redirected to the access vlan, But for some other users in LAN and WLAN , when they try to authenticate via agent or web page the following error appears:
Invalid switch configuration-OOB Error:OOB client "mac/ip" not found.
I tried to find some pattern for the users but it dont match any pattern.
I am having the Cisco NAC enviroment (Software Version is 4.9.1) and OOB VG.
We are getting the below and attached Error while deploying on some machines.
"Invalid switch configuration-OOB Error:OOB client "mac/ip" not found."
Some users on same switches are working fine but some are not....
What would be the possibilities and any work around? other than keeping the port shudown for long time means that atleast 10 - 20 secs or more or a PC restart. Customer is not feeling comfortable with the current situation.
After making some physical changes to my home network (which had been running for sometime without incident) my desktop machine stopped (home built MSI X58 Platinum MB) talking to the network. I get "media not connected" even though I am connected, and the connection works for any other computer I attach. I get indication of proper physical connection at both ends (router and computer ethernet port), however I get no connection and the default 169 .... IP address. It does not matter if I create a fixed IP address in the router and set the ip address of the port to correspond. I have tried all the ip resets, stack resets, remove and reinstall the network ports, etc., to no avail. Connecting directly to the cable modem did not work. I even installed a new buss ethernet card with its own drivers and I get the same 'media not connected'.
one of our customers wants to update the firmware of a 5508 wlc, but always gets the following error message:
Error Message %UPDATE-3-INV_FILE_SIGN: Error! Invalid image signature!. Image may be corrupt.
but the same image works fine on another 5508.the update was downloaded via a smartnet for the wlc, on which the update works fine. does the customer has to download another image for the second controller, or should the image work on both wlc?
Sometimes the router has too many devices connected to it and the other people living with me don't understand this so they keep their iPhones, iPads, laptops, et cetera connected via WiFi even though I tell them to turn off the WiFi setting when they're not using it. So it kicks me off constantly, not sure why, but I don't mind too much. Basically when I'm "connected" but not really connected I remotely reset the router so I don't have to walk upstairs all the time.
I've reset it without troubles before. But did it tonight and now it's completely screwed up. I run a windows diagnostics test and it comes up with: "Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration."

WLC 5508 v7.0.98 6-7 Autonomous upgraded to lightweight APs - 2 * 1231G while the rest are 1242AG 3 dynamic interfaces, 2 to Corp (diff VLANs) and 1 to Guest 4 WLANs binded to different interfaces 2 to the Corp interface Vlan X 1 to Guest 1 to Corp Vlan Y
DHCP for Corp is provided by their own Win DHCP server while controller is the DHCP server for Guest. Lease time is 1 day.
My problem now is, some clients, at random, loses their IP after being connected to the network. They get a 169.254.x.x. They connect to the Corp network OK, no browsing issues but after a while, they lose their IP address.
They can either wait for a while before getting an IP back or just simple renew their IP on their machine.
I've tried increasing the threshold values in the Local EAP to double its default values and also setting the WLAN session time out values to infinite. However, these 2 didn't work. I'm still having clients that occasionally lose their IPs at random.
I've also noted that this affects clients with WZC wireless drivers and not others e.g. Intel Proset.
I bought a brand new acer aspire one 722 notebook and it works fine except I can't connect to the internet. After I run the diagnostics I get the following problem detected: "Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration."
My desktop is telling me I need to install wireless internet hardware. Is that something I buy and install? I am trying to connect to the internet through time warner cable wireless.
I purchased a WRT110 wireless router several weeks ago. Used it with my WPC55AG with no problems at all. I liked the wireless-N, so I decided to upgrade to a wireless-N notebook card and purchased a WPC100. I can always connect to the router with 100% signal strength. However, when trying to access the Internet, sometimes I can connect to websites, but I regularly get an error message that Internet Explorer cannot connect to the internet, even though the signal strength is still 100%.
Tried going back to my WPC55AG and do not get any connection error messages. Tried connecting to my router with my PSP and do not get any connection error messages. Connected to another wireless router that didn't have WPA or WEP using my WPC100 and didn't get any connection error messages..
My wireless internet has been working perfectly well on my XPS 17 (L701X) until last weeky. I was on the internet and then my wireless turned off suddenly. the error message says "turn wireless capability on". BUt on the wardware, the witch is on, but when I check windown mobility center, it shows "wireless off" . Ran network diagnostics, but same error massage "turn wireless capability on". For now, when it happens, I need to restart my computer and it back to nomal. This happens at least 3-4 times a day.
I am trying to set up a E2500 router to a Arris/Comcast modem. I connected the blue cable to the router then to the modem and followed the Cisco instructions on the disk. I was 90% done when I received a error message 82BD0118 - Description - adapter connection time out period expired with no IP address.
I have an HP C5280 printer running wirelessly via a TP Link wireless print server and D Link Di 624 wireless router. I can print successfully from either my desktop (which is connected direct to the D Link router) or either of my laptops (wireless). However, when I select the double-sided print option I get a print error message after re-inserting the odd number pages to print the other side of the paper and then click 'continue'.Could I resolve this by connecting the printer both direct to the desktop using USB AND leaving it connected via the wireless TP Link print server? This would enable me to print double-sided from my desktop (as I did before when the printer was only connected via the USB desktop port).
My roommate has just gotten a second hand laptop and he's trying to connect it to the Wireless network so that he can browse the internet from his room. However, although all the settings are correct, attempting to connect to the network loops. It comes up showing the Wireless Networks available, I select the network and click connect, it then asks for the encryption key. I enter the key and hit connect again, it comes up with the 'Connecting' pop-up and then loops back to the Available Networks screen again. There are no error messages, it just goes back to the starting screen and it hasnt connected. The Laptop in question is a Lenovo T60 with a Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card. The router is a TP-Link TD-W8960N.
My WRT54G router is already feeding 2 wireless PC's with no problem. Haven't been as successful getting my new Samsung Series 7 TV wireless connection working. The TV screen prompts for a 'security key', but once entered, tells me the connection is unsuccessful. The TV does not provide any specific error message - just tells me to re-enter the security key and/or re-start the router (which I have done many times with no success). I am entering the 'Encryption key' from the WRT54G router when prompted by the Samsung TV for the 'security key'.
Upon checking the logs, I'm seeing a lot of these messages:
*emWeb: Oct 25 14:11:01.345: #LOG-3-Q_IND: spam_lrad.c:10136 Validation of STAT_PAYLOAD failed - AP 00:3a:98:09:4e:d0
Always the same MAC address, which I assume is a Cisco AP trying to join. The output interpreter/message decoder isn't much useful. 5508 Controller running ver 7.3.101.0.
When I access setup on an RV220W with Internet Explorer, Mozilla or Safari the following message always displays:
"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address."
I access the router by clicking on "Continue to this website (not recommended)."
This also happens anytime a URL filter is triggered by a client. I.e., clients do not see the "Blocked by Cisco Firewall" message unless they also click on the "Continue to this website (not recommended)." option.
Even worse, when I attempt to connect as a VPN, the SLLVPN applet gets java connection refused. This is why I bought this thing!
What do I need to do to fix all these certificate related errors?
Whenever I use the following command I get an invalid input error
ciscoasa#conf t ciscoasa (config) # crypto isakmp enable outside ciscoasa (config) #object network net-local ciscoasa (config-network) # subnet 192.168.101.0 255.255.255.0 ^ I have reset the firewall (cisco 5505) to factory default. The marker ^ is under the subnet
When i try to connect kf to wifi router, I keep getting password error message when I type my network pw. I have no problem connecting to other wifi connections
"The license is invalid." (Error code:2268435460) it happens with all versions tested on several PCs (Win2003 Server, WinXP). Already tried to reboot, edit the registry, etc but no luck. Using 3 dcs 2121?
I have connected an ASA 5505 to an ADSL router that is able to assign the IP address and the also the DNS servers for the ISP for the outside interface. The ASA is loaded up with IOS "asa842-k8.bin"
I am using vpnclient with a hostname as oppose to an IP address to connect to a headend remote server. If I hardcode the DNS servers IPs in the "dns server-group DefaultDNS" I am able to resolve the hostname. If I then remove the IPs from the group and rely on the dhcp to assign them, when I try to resolve the name I have an error at the console "ERROR: % Invalid Hostname"
I have a Netgear WNR612 wireless router, which worked fine for a few weeks. Then something happened and I can't keep the connection anymore. It happened right after I used iTunes to update my iPhone, perhaps a coincidence, but I'm mentioning that just in case. Internet still works fine with ethernet cable straight from the computer, only the wireless connection doesn't work. This happened about a month ago and I haven't been at home much to fix the problem. I have turned off and unplugged everything for several days at a time while gone. I get a Network Error message saying, Windows has detected an IP address conflict. I have tried restoring the router back to factory settings and reinstalling the wireless card. I have tried changing the IP address settings both in the Network and Sharing Center and the router admin page. What I think I should do is change the IP address in Command Prompt, but when I type "ipconfig /release", it says "No operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection 2 while it has its media disconnected" and the same for Local Area Connection. I don't understand what this means, because there is a wireless key in my keyboard and there is a white light (not orange) like there should be. Also in the Network and Sharing Center, I can see that the connections are enabled.
i am attaching the image which i recieved last night when i was assigning the IP but i got the error message which does not resembel to IP conflict error messsage
