computer was working fine a few days ago, all of the sudden not able to get online anymore at all, recieve error message 651 with dsl connection, and when trying to connect to wireless get an error message saying invalid ip adress configuration,
ipconfig/all reveals: C:Usersygydfre>ipconfig/all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : bygydfre-PC[code]......
I recently bought the E2500 Router and I am using the EA2500 Adapter with it . I have this set-up on 2 Desktop PC's . 1 Pc is working just fine with this set-up . The other keeps giving me an Error message of "Invalid Key Manual" . What does this mean ? The adapter is working because it does find the Router as a usable connection . It just isn't able to connect to it and keeps giving me the same Error message .
first one had to get rid of because just wouldn't work with a 3CX server, anyway, I have a DIR-655 A4 factory shipped with 1.32NA I am trying to update the firmware to 1.34NA but it will not let me. It keeps saying Code:
I have a RV220W running 1.0.1.0. When trying to upgrade to 1.0.4.17 I receive an error: "Upgrade failed due to invalid/corrupted firmware".
I found this article: [URL]
I assume I have to do a factory reset then an upgrade in order to upgrade properly.
If I do a backup running 1.0.1.0, then upgrade to 1.0.4.17, then do a restore, would that put me back to 1.0.1.0? I'm trying to avoid configuring the router manually all over again.
Have a small stack of two 3750 routers. Get the following error message every few secounds:
%STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 1 has changed to state DOWN %STACKMGR-4-STACK_LINK_CHANGE: Stack Port 1 Switch 1 has changed to state UP
Now I replaced the stacking cables but no joy. It was ok for an hr or so but then the error messages popped up again. Also random links on this stack back to access layer user switches have been going up and down randomly. So I have decided to take the next step and upgrade the IOS.
Although when I try and copy a new IOS I get the following error:
%Error writing flash:/c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE6.bin (No space left on device)
Seems this image is 130MB while the image that is currently on it is 74MB and free space is 54MB. How do I get the image onto the router? If I delete the current image from flash will that cause the router to stop functioning?
Also I noticed there seems to be more than one flash directory. See below:
copy tftp: ? flash1: Copy to flash1: file system flash2: Copy to flash2: file system flash: Copy to flash: file system null: Copy to null: file system nvram: Copy to nvram: file system running-config Update (merge with) current system configuration startup-config Copy to startup configuration system: Copy to system: file system vb: Copy to vb: file system
The current router image seems to be in flash1 and flash 2 also. Could I delete the image from flash1. Upload it there and then boot the router from flash1?
So I have an issue with getting a laptop hooked onto the router signal. The router is a brand spankin new Linksys EA4500 and the laptop is an IBM which is running Win XP (not sure of SP version as it is a customer's comp. at a hotel I run). Anyway, the error message I am encountering is:The network password needs to be 40 bits r 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal charactersAt first I thought is was my router password since it contained a $ symbol so I changed it to only letters and numbers but still didn't work. I have never encountered this error message on any laptops and no other rooms have been affected.
I was trying to get into the router the other day and it gave me invalid password consistently. I have hardware version B1 and firmware version 2.00NA. This had been working fine but this along with remote desktop no longer work.
When i try to connect kf to wifi router, I keep getting password error message when I type my network pw. I have no problem connecting to other wifi connections
"The license is invalid." (Error code:2268435460) it happens with all versions tested on several PCs (Win2003 Server, WinXP). Already tried to reboot, edit the registry, etc but no luck. Using 3 dcs 2121?
I have successfully installed a DCS-930L camera. However, when I add a second DCS-942L camera everything stops when I enter my existing account and password stating that they are incorrect (which they are not). The answer I get is: "Invalid e-mail and password combination".

trying to connect to router configuration (after several factory resets) at 192.168.0.1 but each time screen displays invalid username / password, doesnot even display username / password window, using admin as username and password, just cannot log on to configuration setup
This morning i upgraded a remote RV082 to 4.2.0.1 from 4.0.4.1. Numbers could be off slightly since i'm going from memory. I never got the normal acknowledgement the transfer was complete but after an ample amount of time closed the tunnel from my end, re- established my vpn but when i went to log in i received: RV082 firmware upgrade error? The requested server-side-includes filename, /usr/local/EasyAccess/www/htdocs/default.htm, does not seem to exist./quotei googled it and found similar occurrences with earlier upgrades. I'm assuming it didn't reboot itself upon completion of the xfer, at least i'm hoping a cold reboot will correct this but as i'm remote and this install doesn't have an ethernet power controller i'm stuck until monday. Should i bring a spare RV082 just in case.
I have an E3000 with firmware v. 1.0.01 build 6. I am trying to upgrade to the latest firmware version. I downloaded the file, and when I went to install from the web page I got the error message: Not enough memory available. I tried from 2 computers and got the same message.
Yesterday I tried to install c2960-lanbasek9.mz.12.55.SE4.bin onto my router. When I changed the boot commands, I did not leave the 2nd option in there and the old firmware has an .ex3 extension. After trying to boot to this new image, we receive a looping error message that continues to reboot and go through the same process.Basically the error is "ERROR: firmware not supported by hardware"I have power cycled it a few times but durning bootup, I never see the ################## which would allow me to BREAK sequence and get into rommon. The device simply waits about 30-40 seconds after boot and goes right back to the looping reboot sequence and the error message. Is there any hyper term or putty settings to change on this?
My roommate has just gotten a second hand laptop and he's trying to connect it to the Wireless network so that he can browse the internet from his room. However, although all the settings are correct, attempting to connect to the network loops. It comes up showing the Wireless Networks available, I select the network and click connect, it then asks for the encryption key. I enter the key and hit connect again, it comes up with the 'Connecting' pop-up and then loops back to the Available Networks screen again. There are no error messages, it just goes back to the starting screen and it hasnt connected. The Laptop in question is a Lenovo T60 with a Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card. The router is a TP-Link TD-W8960N.
I bought belkin N150 recently. I tried to configure with my ISP. They are surprised how I don't have DHCP option in the wifi configuration and asked me to upgrade my firmware. When I tried to upgrade. I downloaded the firmware from [URL] tried to upgrade. It is showing file format error.
I just installed the firmware upgrade 3.0.03 for my WRP160N router. It is now not accepting my Admin password. Nothing else has changed expect network name now shows linksys and not my assigend network name (SSID)
I want to upgrade the firmware for the router wrp400 , i am asked Username & Password in order to update the firmware.I tried admin/admin does not work. I tried to reset the router, same thing, I have no ISP user and password.
I have a Dir-655 A3 with the firmware 1.32NA. I cannot get the new firmware 1.35NA to take. The router seems to go through the motions of the upgrade, but at the end, when I log back on, the firmware still says 1.32NA & all custom settings remain.I have upgraded the firmware on this router before and I know that when its upgraded, the router is basically reset to factory settings. All the settings have been backed up and I am attempting this upgrade via a wired connection.
I have a DIR-655 Rev A4.I followed this forum in the past when there were many problems with firmware upgrades beyon 1.21. Because of this I never upgraded and was told to be satisfied that I can still stay with 1.21 as upgrades caused problems for a number of people.Everything still seems fine with 1.21 except the Shareport utility often does not pickup the printer connection upon booting to Windows Vista. I can always work around this by Disable and then Enable. It will then always find the printer. It is a minor annoyance however.Should I still stay with 1.21 or is upgrading to 1.35 NA recommended ? If I upgrade to 1.35 NA is there a downgrade path back to 1.21 if the upgrade does not work well ?
Have the DIR-655 Hardware Version A1. Firmware 1.00NA dated Feb 2010. When I try to upload ANY firmware update from the DLINK site, it says that it is not for that device or is corrupt.
I have the DIR-655 . I decided to do a firmware update to Firmware Version: 1.35NA and now I having a problem connecting remotely from outside the network to a computer on my LAN. I use a software called Radmin to connect to one of my LAN computers behind the DIR-655 router and now since I did the update I cannot connect because the router is blocking the request, here is the router log info
I have a DIR-615 Ver. C1 f/w3.00. We have been having trouble with the the signal becoming weak or non-existent, so I decided to see if a firmware upgrade would solve the problem. I have attempted to upgrade to DIR615C1C2_FW301B11.bin and to DIR615C1_FW313NAB09.bin with the same result for both of them - with several attempts for each.
The message I get is: "The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.
If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.
The Gateway will not be reprogrammed."
I have disconnected all other devices to reduce traffic, I have attempted the upload multiple times for 3.01 and 3.13NA, I am logged in as the admin, and I believe the files are proper for this hardware version.
Is there something I am missing that prevents me from performing a firmware upgrade?
Firmware 2.07NA for version B1 units contains two bugs:
1 - An underscore in the Device Name causes a cryptic "37" error to appear when attempting to save any changes to the network settings. Version 2.03 allowed the underscore character. Other invalid characters, such as a "-", generate a more meaningful "Device name given is invalid" message.
Removing any underscores eliminates the error and allows settings to be saved.
2 - The upgrade breaks SharePort communications; the SharePort client utility cannot see the USB port on the device after upgrading from 2.03 to 2.07. This occurs with the latest 3.1.0 R 1 Utility (SXUPTP Driver: 3.4.6.0).
I am using DIR 615 Hardware Version JX... When I check for an update to FIRMWARE I get the following message, "Did not get information".In the past when I clicked on there may be a firmware update on our site. I was taken to [URL] which gave me an 401 error and now redirects me to the US d-link page. Which doesn't even list Rev Jx as an option.I am having a lot of trouble with this router in regards to VPN and must have in China, and am hoping an update is available. [code]
Well this one should be in the "Firmware DOs and DONTs" post. I updated to FW 1.11 over wifi and apparently this will corrupt the camera so it needs serviving. Would have been nice to know that before I did it. Since the upgrade from 1.02 1030 I get this note:The throughput of the SD Card on your camera is not currently enough for recording. We suggest you to reformat the SD Card or replace it with a higher class one.
I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware (2.03NA). Something went wrong and now the router comes up with the orange light flashing. So the system is in emergency firmware upgrade mode. I set my IP to 192.168.0.2 and connect to the web interface at 192.168.0.1. I see a page with "Firmware Upgrade System" and "Version 1.0.0.2". So far so good. I can now select the firmware and click "send". But then nothing really happens. I can wait for a couple of minutes and then run into a timeout. I tried different browsers (Linux: Firefox, Chrome, etc). I even tried it Windows 7 with IE 8 and I get the same result. It seems that the cgi (192.168.0.1./cgi/index) is not really doing anything?
I hope that we can get this DIR-825 back from the dead. I did the first portion of the 2.05NA upgrade while wired into LAN1 on the unit, after the reboot the power light went Amber and the unit would no longer respond to pings. I have searched around for various reset methods but have not been able to find a guide or a definitive current D-Link tech manual on how to fix a bad flash. I have tried pinging/arping/web browsing its default IP and the IP I had it set to to no avail.
