View 1 RepliesI currently have a problem connecting to certain websites via wifi using our home connection. We have the same issue with an HP laptop, Nexus 7 tablet, and also with an iPod. We tried connecting to the internet using other methods or using other connections, and the devices worked as expected. For example when using our wifi, I can open the results page of Google, but when I try to go to the website it won't load. I can download using Google play on my Nexus, but I can't access social networking sites on all three devices.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to open a few websites through the DIR-825. I can connect the PC to the ISP modem and these sites open just fine. It's not a browser problem.
I've updated to the very latest firmware and still have the problem. I've also researched this issue and can't seem to find a work-around for this issue.
I was playing a MMO game called Wizard101, when randomly, I disconnected from it. I tried first to re-connect to the game, no success. So I tried going to its website, loads very slowly, sometimes not loading at all. Then I wanted to try go to its fansite, to ask for support there, but it turns out that the fansite isn't loading too.I try to load a few more pages that is related to the game, but none of them will load. However everything else seems to load just like normal.
I try to fix this with using my usuall fixes:
- I tried connecting to the websites on another computer. Didn't work.
- Restarted my internet + reset my router back to standard. Neither did this work.
I haven't changed any of my internet settings in a few months; so I doubt anything there would be the problem.
when i am browsing, automatically new websites are being opened in new tabs.

I couldn't open websites ex. msn.com / yahoo.com but if i bypass the cisco router there is no issue appear. I have checked the setup and there are no problem on the configuration or the Unifi line . I think it would be any hardware problem. I have attached the info of configuration the cisco .
Been more than 2 years since I purchsed this router from US and has been working flawlessly till now. Lately I have been facing issues with few websites not opening when my laptop is connected to the router using a lan cable. Sites like speedtest.net (I get the download speed but when it needs to upload it is stuck there forever), [URL] is another which just does not open.
I tried opening these sites using e4200 wifi and everything works perfectly. I even updated the firmware to the latest 1.0.05 build 7 Aug 23, 2012 but still the same issue.
My router set to Automatic configuration - DHCP...
Also when I directly connect the internet cable to my laptop lan, everything opens without any issues.
There's a WRT54G2 v1.5 router in the apartment I just moved in to (belongs to my roommate) which crapped out the other day. My computer and iPod touch both recognize the router's signal and connect to it, but I can't access any Web sites after that (both work fine on other wireless networks). I can, however, access the Web via the cable modem, but when I plug an Ethernet cable into one of the ports on the Linksys router, I have the same problem as when I'm connecting wirelessly. So far, I've tried resetting the router (with the reset button on the back), updating the firmware, changing settings (beacon interval, frag & RTS thresholds....saw that suggested on other forums) & leaving the network unsecured (it's currently WPA2/TKIP & AES, what it was originally). Is it safe to say this router's done for, or is there anything else I can do to resurrect it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed a Cisco ASA 5505 in my company's network, however the network became so slow and many websites cannot be opened or it takes toolong to open (yahoo, hotmail etc.) resulting to a request time out sometimes.
Here is my configuration:
ASA Version 8.2(1) !hostname xxxxxxenable password xxxxxx encryptedpasswd xxxxx encryptednames!interface Vlan1 nameif inside security-level 100 ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 !interface Vlan2 nameif outside security-level 0 ip address
[Code].....
Region : India
Model : TL-WR740N
Hardware Version : Not Clear
ISP : BSNL BB
I have a BSNL BB connection. When I use the connection directly, without adding TP Link router, all the websites open flawlessly. Once when I connect the wireless router, certain websites for example Yahoomail, pepperfry.com, yepme.com don't open at all. These are just examples, but I'm unable to access many sites which is a bit annoying. But sites such as gmail, youtube, facebook open clean, there are no issues. I didn't make any configuration changes too. I tried it more than three or four times, but there is a restricted access only.
I see the router and the modem are working just fine as usual and even the guy from comcast says there is nothing wrong with the internet connection itself. The problems I am having right now are
- I can only access to Facebook, Spotify, but nothing else.
- It sometimes randomly comes back and everything works but then it only lasts for a few minutes-hours and it goes off and won't work again. I've tried resetting the modem, router, and I even tried creating a new network but nothing worked out so far.I currently own a mac and a windows 7 laptop.
url...Yesterday all of a sudden my computer wouldn't load up a lot of websites. A lot of my favorite sites to visit now for whatever reason only load to a certain point than stop. The first picture is from Steam, the second is from a browser. It doesn't matter the browser, because it doesn't load on any I've tested.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having a really annoying issue with my computer not connecting to the internet wirelessly I start the computer, and a connection is there via my router for about 30secs-2mins. After this, I can't access any websites. The full five bars remain white and the router is still seen by the computer, but there is a small yellow exclamation sign in front of it, and a mouse-over says "no internet access". I can still access when wired to the router through a cable, so I thought it might be an issue with my wireless card, but wireless USB adapters don't make a difference, even when I've disabled the wireless card. My drivers are all up to date, and I've even tried a full reformat and reinstall of Windows 7, to no avail. Other devices (a couple of computers and phones) can connect to the router fine, and the network even tried a new router, with no success. I have experienced this immediately after the reinstall, before either firewall (I use ZoneAlarm Free) or AV (I use Avast! Free) were installed, and I'm completely stuck.

I ran some basic things i saw on the internet. i am able to get to web pages through ip address but not through the [URL] type ones.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have an SMC2804WBR router. It runs slowly and refuses to even load some web sites. If I unplug it for half an hour, it works fine for three or four minutes and then slows right down again. SMC support told me to reset and reconfigure the settings. I tried it twice. It made no difference at all. It works fine for a few minutes after it has been unplugged but then slows right down. I have the cable connection plugged into a PC running Windows 2000 and that is where I have the router plugged in as well. This is not the machine I use on a daily basis. I use a MacBook Pro via wireless. If I purchase a new router that says the operating system can be OS X or at least XP, can I configure it from the MacBook and will it still work with the PC running on Windows 2000? I was thinking of scrapping the SMC and getting a Linksys E1200-CA.

I'm having a problem with certain stations being used for personal networking, shopping, etc. during business hours. Consequently I would like to limit internet access on these stations. However, some internet access is required because of online database software that's an integral part of our business. I've been reading in the Administration Guide about URL Blocking. Would it be possible to give static IPs to certain stations and then limit their internet access to 1 or 2 specific websites?
FYI, I've read about the Trusted Domains and Blocked Keywords but cannot quite understand how to parley this into the solution I need.
How does one configure the router so that Internet users can access internal company websites? The only thing that appears is the Cisco router login. Also I need to configure Terminal Services and its not on the list under Service.

I cannot open Internet Explorer and Internet Options does not open from Control Panel. I followed other suggestions I found on your forum and on the net but nothing works. I cannot access the internet in any way (on that computer) and therefore cannot even supply you with a HiJack file. I tried several restore points and the only malware pgm on that computer is MalmareBytes (which found nothing). I cannot even run a anti-virus scan because that is no longer running - which is the reason I brougth her computer to my house in the first place. After several attempts of trying to open IE some times it stays open for a few seconds but most times it just flashes, then closes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just signed up for Time Warner - Road Runner internet service. I am currently hardwired via ethernet to the new cable modem (arris cm820) while I wait for my wireless router to arrive. The internet appears to be working fine (good speed), however, it stalls without fail every 3 minutes. It will freeze and no pages will open (FYI, it does not open a "you are not connected to the internet" page, it simply just sits there trying to load any and all pages). After about 5 minutes, the pages will suddenly load and the internet will work fine for another 3 minutes. Then, it will freeze all over again. Rinse and repeat. When this happens, the modem shows no physical signs of disconnection (all lights are on as normal) and network diagnostics on the mac shows that that the ethernet is still connected as well.I tried calling Time Warner and all they could say is that it "looks fine from our end, watch it for 24 hours and call back." So basically they knew nothing.

Our connection's name is LINKSYS and is WEP.Once i have connected to the internet, it will continue to work fine for a while. After some random time, it will disconnect.(The computer stays connected to the wireless modem, but computer shows NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY (in bottom-right taskbar))Then in 5-6 seconds, it will start working again... The only change that is visible is that the exclamation mark on network disappears. The computer remains connected to router for this whole time. Initially we thought it was a problem of our ISP. But later we found out that at a time not all users face disconnection. So at a particular time, it is possible that only I cannot open webpages.

I am able to open the ports on my router but the ports still show closed using portforward.com portchecker. I disabled all firewalls and Anti-Virus, no luck. I even connected my computer directly to the modem, the ports are still closed. The Router is a Linksys WRT400N set to single band. The modem is an Alcatel although there is no model number (it has a fiber optic connection, coax connection and 2 ethernet port connections). The condo is cat 5 ready so the router has multiple ethernet cables which go to the ethernet wall plugs throughout the apartment which is how I connect to my desktop.
