I can not view work group connections on my computer especially when I tried to view the work group connections it always showed the message like this work is not accessible you might not have permission to use this network resource.

bit of a newbie to this call manager stuff but I was having a bit of a play earlier and for the life of me I can not see an easy way to list which directory numbers are in a particular pickup group. I can see the list of pickup groups and how to assign the directory number to a pickup group but surely there's an easy way to find out which numbers are in a particular pickup group???

The iPad connects fine to the network and can access the internet.However, the iPad doesn't seem to see the other computers in the work group I want to connect it to, nor do the windows computers see the iPad. This is surely due (at least in part) to not having specified the work group name on the iPad, which I cannot figure out how to do.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm in a house on a network that has 2 Macbooks, 4 notebooks running either Windows Vista or Windows 7, and 3 desktops running either Windows Vista or Windows XP. (Sidenote: No, they're not all accessing the network at the same time; actually some of them are hardly ever even turned on but it's important to include them because of the questions to follow.) Out of all those machines, one desktop running XP and one notebook running Vista are mine.Now, my family's pretty private, so we have file sharing turned off on all the computers. The problem is it's really a pain to have to transfer files between my laptop and my desktop, which I do fairly often because some of my schoolwork is done on the desktop (bigger screen), while some is done on my laptop (portability), and I also have a partition on the desktop's hard drive specifically for backing up files. When I want to transfer files, whether it's one file or 10,000 files (which I had to do the other day, actually), I either have to:
a) e-mail the file to myself if it's not too large and open it on the other machine
b)use my flash drive to transfer files
c) use a usb transfer cable, start the software, log in to the connection, etc etc.
simply create a new Workgroup on the network with just my 2 machines in it, so I can put all the files I want to share/move between them on the network instead of manually transferring them. I've already taken care of that step (creating the Workgroup, that is), so for the sake of not being confusing, I'll call my network "Network" and my workgroup "Mygroup" and whatever workgroups the other computers might be in "Theirgroups". Now that I've figured out that it's possible for Mygroup and Theirgroups to co-exist on Network, what about the actual file sharing? If I set up file sharing will only the 2 computers in Mygroup have access to them, or will the computers in Theirgroups have access as well since we're all on the same network? If the computers on Theirgroups will have access as well, is there any way I can make it so that only Mygroup will have access?
I have set up a network consisting of an XP desktop , Windows Home Server Desktop & XP Netbook & router.The network works as it should when the netbook is connected to the router by ethernet. However, when I connect the netbook wirelessly it (the netbook) cannot view the other computers & an access error is returned when trying to access networked folders on the desktop & server. (the desktop can see the laptop though). Disabling the security software made no difference nor did resetting winsock. So the problem lies with connecting wirelessly.

We are connecting a cisco router (819) to wireless lan network (lwapp) through its wireless interface.
clients ---> 819 ---->AP (WGB) ------ lwapp ----- AP ---> LAN ---> servers.
since the clients are on the same subnet as the the VLAN on the lwapp, everything works great.When we add a new L3 VLAN on the 819 router, and we try to ping the clients from the servers, the packets can reach the clients but never received by the servers back. it seems like the bridge is dropping the packets when they go back from the client to the servers.when we use a GRE tunnel from the 819 to the LAN, everything works great.
What is the maximum allowed number of wired clients behind a workgroup bridge? In other words, is there a limit on MAC addresses?I assume 1262 AP in WGB mode is connecting to a lighweight AP (1262 or 3502), latest IOS and WLC software. I wasn't able to find the answer from Cisco documentation.

Whenever I go to Network and Sharing Center and try connecting to the internet, the computer simply says "Windows did not detect any networking hardware", even though the light is clearly on and should be working. The cable is also new so it should be fine. I've also been looking around on the internet a bit, and in trying to fix the problem it looks like some of my Services are turned off, which seems to be causing the problem. However, whenever I try and turn them on, I get an error message saying "The dependency service or group failed to start".

I have a very simple and standard setup.My main desktop pc is connected to my TP Link TL-WR841ND wireless router and that is connected to my issued Time Warner cable modem. In my room I have a desktop pc with a TP Link TL-WN722N wireless adapter and my brother has a PlayStation 3 in his room.For months I have had flawless wireless internet connection between my desktops and PlayStation 3, but for the past few days I noticed that when the main desktop is on it prevents my adapter and PlayStation from making wireless connections to the router.
The only time my desktop with the adapter and PlayStation 3 is able to connect is only when the main desktop is turned off or physically disconnected from the router. Now, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Ethernet driver, resetting both the modem and router, and setting everything up from square one to no avail. I know it has to be something simple but I'm hoping I won't have to format my main desktop PC.
When I log into the routers configuration page through internet explorer and check the Wireless Statistics page showing the currently connected wireless stations and packets, I have noticed that very few packets are being sent out, like the adapter and PlayStation 3 are being blocked by the desktop. I had Norton installed on it a week or two ago just to do a quick scan, then I uninstalled it.
I have A WAN and DSL for Internet connection in my work place and both are using differnet Network address which means both have their own routers and i have connected both on the same cisco switch.And my Question is how can i use both connection on one computer with out changing every time the ip address of the computer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to setup 4 cameras to view with remote live view. I set up my server with IP addresses of 192.168.1.80 .... 85. The screen has only the option for 1 video channel. I have seen on-line screen shots that have options for channel 1 through 8. I want to assign each camera to a different channel so I will be able to use remote live view to show all 4 cameras at the same time. I can only show one at a time. Do I need a different version than 3.3 or some obscure windows 7 setting?

Other computers in the house are fine with wireless and the direct connection.This computer I am working on is the one directly connected (not wireless).I tried the connection on other computers and it works.When troubleshooting, it indicates it lost the drivers so we downloaded the correct drivers and installed them on the computer. It indicates it has the updated drivers now. Funny thing is when you start of the computer the error message on the screen is Installation or Upgrade Error A problem occurred during the upgrade process.you must restart your computer. After it restarts, the Webroot upgrade resumes.I am concerned as my daughters computer has the same error message but her Internet connection still works.Seemed to me that Webroot could be a potential problem. Since we can't download the latest version (no internet and can't use disc we have as it tells us it is outdated) I tried to uninstall using WMPinfo.xml to finish the uninstall.I got an error that indicated - "The InstallAware Wizard for Webroot Software has failed: "WRConsumerService stop failed with error 2 and kill failed with error 128". We bought a new E4200 to replace our old Linksys router which no one knows the admin pw to. We have four switches for 50 connections throughout the four story house and when switching the connections over to the new E4200 all of the wired connections no longer work. Switch back to the old router and presto. How do I need to change the settings with the E4200 to get it to work?
Also, as it's a thick old house the E4200's wireless only covers maybe half of it...I purchased two wireless repeaters to put on the 3rd and 4th floors, are these simple to install with the router?
So yesterday i was sitting at my computer, doing nothing and then the internet shuts off. So i go up stairs to check on the router, and all of the normal lights are on, as well as the modem. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on the computer I want to make the connection on.I am also using Verizon FioS internet (comes with default router/modem combo) to which I have the DIR-655 router connected. I am able to connect to both WiFi's fine and they work correctly.I think the Verizon router is set to block incoming VPN connections and I think this is why I cannot get anyone to be able to access my computer / internet via VPN. How I can perhaps forward ports and which settings I would need to specifically change in both routers admin settings so that I can get VPN connections to forward to my computer and be accepted.

This is a config for ASA 8.0. I would have expected it to work on 8.4 as well but I do run into problems. The mapping as shown in LDAP Debug and ASA Log will actually happen but it is overwritten by the "GPnoAccess" Group Policy configured locally in the Tunnel Group. From earlier works with RADIUS I would have expected the user specific Attribute to be "stronger"?
