I can access the internet just fine, but when I try to connect using a VPN It times out.When I ping the desktop in question, I get a timeout, and when I ping anything from the desktop I get "general failure".I've tried allowing echo responses through the firewall, and disabling the firewall, to no avail.

I am have 3 machines int he house connected to the internet but one does not have internet access. It shows connected to the wireless network and from the command prompt there is an ip assigned to the laptop. But i cannot ping the gateway or any ip I get General Failure.

Today, the PC will not connect to the internet. The Network and Sharing center in control panel shows that the PC is connected to both the wireless network and the wired network, but with no internet connectivity. All other computers and devices in the house are able to connect to the internet. Tried restarts, virus scans, router power off/on, ipconfig /release and renew, all with no luck. When I try and ping other computers in the LAN or the router I get a "General Failure" message.

In Device Manager, under Network Adapters there is a "Realtek PCIe GBE..." device properly installed. But under Other Devices there are now more entries with exclamation mark:

- PCI Communication controller

I tried updating the drivers, then deleting and reinstalling but no success so far. Still can't connect to the internet. The browser can see the router, at 192.168.1.1 I don't know where the problem is.

When I watch videos on streaming sites the load bar tends to go up but only so far before freezing. If you slide the button along once the umbrella spinny thing gets going then the load bar will kick back into life again for a few seconds before freezing! The problem also effects downloads. Anything that takes longer the 5 or 10 seconds will fail. This has stopped me downloading simple things such as iplayer and flash updates. I know its not a problem with my computer as it effects all the machines that pass through the house. Were currently getting Virgin wireless broadband (so I dont think its a speed issue).A tecky friend of mine thinks it might be something to do with the 'packets' of information or the channel that my router is operating on

Normally, all is fine, but for some reason I can't connect to the internet on windows 7, but I can on my Mac OS on the same computer. I ran troubleshoot, but it says it can't find any problems. I was connecting to my home network yesterday, but I couldn't get on the internet, however now I'm just stuck connecting to "Identifying...". I installed a game yesterday, and I'm thinking that could be the problem, but I can't uninstall it because I can't connect to Steam. I have a ADSL Huwavi modem by my ISP installed at my place.. Now the wireless from that device is very bad.. So I purchased WAG120N to setup a daisy-chain kind of setup in my other bedroom. I also put another D-link DIR-600 in between to give a connection to the first floor (via Ethernet cable).
So my huwavi is the ISP device, then a LAN from it goes to the dlink internet (WAN) port. then one cable from the d-link LAN port to the LAN1 of WAG120N and another upstairs.
Now all of this was working perfectly.. I put same SSIDs and Pwds on both ISP router and WAG120N and i was getting seamless net..
Now yesterday we removed the ISP modem to do some shifting.. Upon reconnecting, the ISP modem, Dlink work as before, but the WAG120N refuses to connect to the net.. it shows DSL down and doesn't access the www.
What I felt is that since i changed LAN ports on my ISP device and dlink, the static IP settings on the WAG120N should be changed.. i modified it, set to to point to the dlink for internet and huwavie for DHCP.. yet nothings happening..
I even connected the WAG120N directly to the Huwavie, yet it fails to connect to the net..
i'm getting "general network error" while accessing application from server..

Me and my friend is currently setting up a Xen test environment. As you can se from the picture below we are running a Cisco ASA 5505 to reach the network from the outside.But the problem is that we want to reach the virtual pfSense's subnet's through the Cisco AnyConnect VPN. And currently the pfSense's are only configured with a public ip and a virtual interface to the VM's.could solve this problem by buying another PCI NIC, so that we have a physical link from the "pfSense box" to a tagged VLAN on the switch.But we are having problems configuring the switch to general vlan's. Cause Xen can't have it's management interface on a tagged VLAN directly from the XenServer,but the switch can tag the packet when it reaches the switchport. I would like to have "switch port general allowed vlan 2" for admin and 10 for "LAN"And then trunk the port to the Cisco ASA. But again, Xen stops me from doing this.

I've configured the router using the Easy Setup Assistant CD provided and have a wifi connection between the router provided however when using network diagnostics, while the wifi connection is fine, I am getting "failed to connect to Internet" and "failed to connect to server" messages. I have tried adjusting settings manually but without any progress.
I am having some question around Prime Infrastructure..Does a general document exists regarding the licensing count of monitored devices ? Indeed I am wondering about the specific points. Is it true that :
- A 3750 stack unit count as one (for example a 4 units stack consumes 4 license) ?

I have Windows XP installed, I can connect to the LAN network but I cannot go online. I can ping the gateway but not the DNS as well as other address name or ip address. When I first set up the Zone based firewall I used the Wizard with a setting of "low".The issue I am now having is related to adding a new subnet on a completely different IP range. My normal network is 10.20.0.0/16 sub-netted down into /24's for each vlan.Recently I added a new VLAN with a 172.16.0.0/16 subnet. I plan to use this vlan for testing purposes. I updated NAT on the router to allow the 172.16.0.0/16 range to be NATTED.From the router I can ping anything on the 172. 16.0. 0/16 range and from a test machine in the 172.16.0.0/16 I can ping all of the 10.20.0.0/16 addresses including the router.My problem is I can not ping out onto the Internet from a 172.16.0.0/16 computer.I have checked and so far I have not been able to find any policies on the firewall saying traffic must be sourced from the 10.20.0.0/16.

I ping Google and I have a lots of Requested timed out about 7-8 of those then I have a reply for 30 sec than it starts again "...timed out"t first I thought it was a problem from my ISP than I called them they checked and it seems that everything it's OK and their behalf.
