Cisco :: LMS 4.0.1 - Getting General System Settings?
Jul 14, 2011
I have a situation, where I dont need email and where is no SMTP server in this network, but I need CCO-access for EoX/PSIRT from LMS. Because both settings are in the same menu and LMS4.0.1 does real TCP:25 checking for given SMTP-server before can apply, I cant save my CCO-credentials. What can I do?
How to set up RVS4000 QOS settings to work with a VOIP phone system? I need to get the QOS active on the VPN so that a remote office with VOIP phones can reach the PBX at the main office over the Internet connection.
I have a Linksys WRT610N wireless system with WPA-PSK security and this works fine with several computers but now one computer detects the wireless security as WEP and can thus not connect to the router. I have tried to manually connect to the router with correct security WPA-Personal (TKIP) and correct password but then the computer says "settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network".How can I get the computer to detect the correct security? The computer is running Windows 7 home premium.
My internet connect works fine for hours at a time, then suddenly will get 7 or 8 General Failures while pinging (long enough to boot me off the net) then will be back to working fine immediately afterwards.Pinging 127.0.0.1 works fine. I've checked the firewall (Norton) and it has the default settings
C:Documents and SettingsLW>ping 10.1.1.1Pinging 10.1.1.1 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 10.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64 Reply from 10.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64 Reply from 10.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64 Reply from 10.1.1.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Ping statistics for 10.1.1.1: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
I can access the internet just fine, but when I try to connect using a VPN It times out. When I ping the desktop in question, I get a timeout, and when I ping anything from the desktop I get "general failure".I've tried allowing echo responses through the firewall, and disabling the firewall, to no avail.
how to hide Wireless SSID via Wireless controllers (one I am using is 5505)
Currently anyone can attmept to login to it as i cant find any options to hide it! Screen shot below)
what measures I should take to secure the APS and from access, currently considering port security and static mac addresses on ports; traffic is already got ACLS on its vlan. I have little to no experience on Wireless devices.
I am an accomplished developer in Microsoft technologies, however networking has always been my weak point. I have always managed to be in jobs where my lack of knowledge in networks has not affected me, so I have never bothered to learn anything. Are there any good books out that would teach me the basics of things like tcp/dhcp/vpn/dial up networks/routers and other netwokring terms.
I am have 3 machines int he house connected to the internet but one does not have internet access. It shows connected to the wireless network and from the command prompt there is an ip assigned to the laptop. But i cannot ping the gateway or any ip I get General Failure.
We are a new call center company and want to configure the network to setup the predictive dialer, work properly.how a network could be setup to configure predictive dialer.
I think there is a problem with the settings on my router or something like that. When I watch videos on streaming sites the load bar tends to go up but only so far before freezing. If you slide the button along once the umbrella spinny thing gets going then the load bar will kick back into life again for a few seconds before freezing! The problem also effects downloads. Anything that takes longer the 5 or 10 seconds will fail. This has stopped me downloading simple things such as iplayer and flash updates. I know its not a problem with my computer as it effects all the machines that pass through the house. Were currently getting Virgin wireless broadband (so I dont think its a speed issue).A tecky friend of mine thinks it might be something to do with the 'packets' of information or the channel that my router is operating on
Me and my friend is currently setting up a Xen test environment. As you can se from the picture below we are running a Cisco ASA 5505 to reach the network from the outside. But the problem is that we want to reach the virtual pfSense's subnet's through the Cisco AnyConnect VPN. And currently the pfSense's are only configured with a public ip and a virtual interface to the VM's.could solve this problem by buying another PCI NIC, so that we have a physical link from the "pfSense box" to a tagged VLAN on the switch. But we are having problems configuring the switch to general vlan's. Cause Xen can't have it's management interface on a tagged VLAN directly from the XenServer, but the switch can tag the packet when it reaches the switchport. I would like to have "switch port general allowed vlan 2" for admin and 10 for "LAN"And then trunk the port to the Cisco ASA. But again, Xen stops me from doing this.
under ASA Version 8.0:Are NAT's processed from top to bottom or general to specific?I have a many-to-many NAT that is taking precedence over a one-to one-NAT. In what order are they processed?
For years I have received occasional complaints about users being dropped from WiF and then reconnecting like a minute or two later. I wondered what tools people on the Forum used to troubleshoot this transient problem. Cisco APs like the 1200 don't seem to inform about why someone left. One thing that has been very useful over time is using Network Sumbler to see what WAPs are in a vicinity and make sure there is not channel overlap. How to troubleshoot transient wireless network drops?
I have Catalyst 4507 R-E with one supersor engine n 3 other modules. My question is related to routing of different networks through this switch.I already have certain routes configured which are going to my ISP thru Juniper firewall.(192.168.0.9)I also have Cisco ASA 5510 which i want to use as a backup in case the first one goes down.
I have a new Alienware X51 running Win 7. It's connected to a home LAN, both wired and wirelessly. For the prior two days internet connectivity has been fine. Today, the PC will not connect to the internet. The Network and Sharing center in control panel shows that the PC is connected to both the wireless network and the wired network, but with no internet connectivity. All other computers and devices in the house are able to connect to the internet. Tried restarts, virus scans, router power off/on, ipconfig /release and renew, all with no luck. When I try and ping other computers in the LAN or the router I get a "General Failure" message.
I am having some question around Prime Infrastructure..Does a general document exists regarding the licensing count of monitored devices ? Indeed I am wondering about the specific points. Is it true that :
- A 3750 stack unit count as one (for example a 4 units stack consumes 4 license) ? - A WLC (except 5500) does not consume a license but only the Lightweight APs. - An autonomous AP does not consumes a Lifecycle licence ?
my system ip not able to ping by other system in my company network but my system is in the network and able to ping other system in the network my system IP have static IP and IP is pinging on by server
we cant create EoX and PSIRT reports For Job-Log please see attached 1007.1.log.Patch lms40x-win-CSCto46927-0 has been installed already.CCO-Credentials + Proxy-settings in LMS must be oK, because we are able to auto download device packages for instance.
we just purchased 2 asa 5585-40's and tried to add them to our lms 3.2 system and we were informed by cisco tac that they were not supported in lms 3.2. since we don't having funding for an upgrade, any work around within lms that could allow me to add the devices so i can use lms for syslog and to fetch the firewall configs on a regular basis, instead of having to setup a seperate syslog server and having to tftp the config's everytime i make a change.
I'd like to know if it's possible to change the system message for each ephone independently with CME ?I mean, changing an ephone's system message without changing others' ones.
One of our clients just installed a new security system and they need to be able to view the cameras from outside the network. According to the vendor, we should only need ports 81 and 2000 forwarded to the internal DVR on both TCP and UDP. They really aren't much troubleshoot the network config.
I am getting following error during installation of LMS 4.0. ( "CWLMS-4.0-100-K9").I have installed SP1 for the Windows 2008 Standard R2, still getting same error. Since Cisco's minimum requirement is Windows 2008 Standard and Enterprise with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 (32 and 64 bit).
The OID I am using for module index 6509-E family is not working on 6509 Virtual Switching System(VSS).I have used "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.3.1.1.1" for single6509- E configuration. How to know OID for module index on VSS environment.
I'm configuring a 2921 Router. It has 3 GigE ports, of which I'm using 2. I would like the router to also act as a Gateway system between the 2 networks. Can you tell me which configuration commands I need to accomplish this?
I have upgraded to prime LMS 4.2.2 (from 4.0.1) and can not perform system or device upgrade. Using wireshark I can see why. it looks like LMS is trying to go to this old web [URL] to get software. I believe this was fixed years ago in bug CSCto46927.
Can I reapply bug fix CSCto46927 on 4.2.3 or is there another fix?
