View 1 RepliesI have 2 ISPs terminating on 2 FE ports on my 2811 router.ISP1 had always been here, used for the following:Internet access to LAN usersInternet access with public IP mapping to servers in different security zones (VLANS)Site to Site VPN tunnels to 3rd party partnersRemote VPN access to 3rd party partners We recently got a second ISP, mainly for the following:Internet access and public IP mapping to servers on seperate security zones (VLANS)Site to Site VPN tunnels to 3rd party partners as above, but different hosts So far, ISP1 and all the above service have worked based on the config below. However, having added ISP2, I have not been able to successfully create the site-to-site VPN tunnels.

Whenver I try to establish a tunnel on SDM_CMAP_2 and run a test using CCP, I get 2 failure reasons:
1. The peer must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following peer(s) are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.130
2. The tunnel traffic destination must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following destinations are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.134
The tunnels on SDM_CMAP_1 are all active Do I need to include a default route for the second ISP on the router? If so, how do I get this done? When I tried it, I had loops on the user LAN segment of the network.
Abruptly internet access disappeared. It's a router issue, none of the computers here can connect. Further, I can't access the router through a browser - 192.168.0.1 results in a "Firefox cannot connect" message. I've tried resetting the DNS to no avail. I'm typing via cell phone and it's annoying, but I'm willing to try about anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have a home use WRT160N router linked to a PC desktop and two wireless laptops, Yesterday bought a new I-Phone, but could not link to my network (entered the security key many times). I accidentally connected to computer fix it firm that linked to my PC and wanted a large sum to fix the problem which he said was due to large number of temp?? internet files and once removed he would change the IP address of the desktop computer? Is this diagnosis logical and can I do it on my own. The router is definetely working - both laptops access the internet and I was recently able to hook up a Samsung Blu-Ray player using the same security code I used for the I-Phone.

I do have internet connection via wifi as im using it now....why I loose connection to the router? The lease time is 24h and it can happen more than once in a day.

I tried setting it up but if I connect the router to my laptop, I couldn't connect to the internet. While i was setting the wireless router, I couldn't access 192.168.1.1. I could only access internet through ethernet cable from my modem. I tried fixing it, power cycles, enabling the IP routing, but it hasn't fixed my problem. WHAT SHOULD I DO? View 10 Replies View RelatedCurrent set up all worked fine for years (wireless Netgear router, ISP AOL ) until I changed my phone provider to AOL last week. On the day of the switch I lost my internet and have not had it since.Countless calls to AOL, line checks done and all showing as clear. Technician out today and no internal faults found. The internet light on the router is flashing orange, occassionally turning green but not holding. Router problems have been ruled out. Laptop shows communication with router but there is no internet access. This can not be a coincidence, I am sure something has gone wrong on the day of the switch since that is when the problem started.I am in really close range of the exchange and technician said I have good conectivity and wondered if there was a conflict issue somewhere.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a MI-FI dongle which i use to connect to the internet (small wireless router) It does not support a wireless printer though. So I figured IU would use the old BT Home hub I had to connect my computer and the printer.
This worked for a few minuites untill the computer decided that the home hub should be dominent and instead of accesing the internet the browser would show the bt cannot conect to the internet page.
I have a pc that is connected to my router through an Ethernet cable. The network sharing center confirms I am connected to my network, and that I am connected to the internet; however, I can not connect to the internet with IE, chrome, or any other internet-based application. The icon in the bottom right also says I have internet access. As well, another ethernet-connected PC in the house works just fine, and my laptop has no trouble connecting through the wireless. I have switched the connection ports on the router between the two PCs and the problem still persists.Trouble shooter results without identifying any problems and trying to "set up a new connection or network" says "you are already connected to the internet". This issue occurred over night and had been working for over a year without issue. I have restarted the router as well as the pc, connected to the router and it shows the pc as "inactive"
View 10 Replies View RelatedFew days ago my people from my ISP installed a router in my house, now it's a D-Link DIR-100 router which they configured themselves and then left. Thing is I have never had a router before so I don't know first thing about them.My current problem is that I want to simultaneously connect another pc to the router, without having to turn one of the pcs off, but they don't seem to be working at the same time, I am guessing it's because of the IP conflict, both pcs had the same IP. I thought I would take a look at the routers web interface but was unable to connect to the default address mentioned in the guide (192.168.0.1), after some googling I tried every kind of variation of the IP addresses, including default gateway (which is different) and whatnot, but still unable to connect. I don't get a timed out, just immediately get the "Unable to connect" error. So I am wondering, if there is a way to either fix the IP conflict without accessing the interface, or how to access the interface and then how to fix the conflict. [code]

View 1 Replies View RelatedOS: WIN XP ?For some reason I am not able to access the internet even though I'm connected to the corporate router. When I do an ipconfig /all the Connection-specific DNS Suffix is missing. Not sure if that is part of the issue. I tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew and that did not resolve the issue.Another odd thing is when someone else logs into my computer they are able to access the internet through the corporate wifi.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently I'm living in a dorm. The house has wireless network. But WEP encryption is used to secure it. I know this method is not safe. Also since there are many people are living in the house i don't want my computers be connected to this network. What i want to do is to setup my own network. I bought a NetGear DGND3300 router. I setup a WPA2 protected wireless network. I can connect all my devices to this network but naturally this way i have no Internet access. Is there a way to use Internet access of the house's router but still keep my local traffic not seen by anybody else
View 2 Replies View RelatedOrange sent me a replacement Netgear DNG1000 and from the moment I had it there was issues, if N mode was enabled and I had to set it to B/G only for it to have a stable connection, not a problem as I only use it for the internet. The range on it was roughly the same as the livebox. For a few weeks it worked fine until recently it started to go insane, on the main computer the wifi works most of the time with 80%-95% signal strength, and then every now and then it will suddenly lose communication with the router but act as if it was connected for 5-10 minutes, signal strength is still at about 90% yet I can't access the router or the internet. Wifi works fine at full speed on the stairs, drops to a few bytes per second on the landing and then increases back up to full speed in the room next to it. In the one bedroom the wifi works up until the door where it instantly drops from full speed to a few bytes a second. This drop off point is only a few cms, as in full speed at one place, move it back a few cm and it slows down loads, but I still get 4-5 bars on windows and -50 RSSI on inSSIDer, about 94% strength and a link quality which tends to fluctuate. What could be causing this, specifically the weird instant deadzones and randomly not responding.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two routers on my local network:
1. ADSL Wi-Fi router provided by my ISP. This is the primary router for my network which is connected to the internet. Router IP: 192.168.1.1 (DHCP enabled)
2. TP-Link wireless router which is connected to the primary router through its LAN port (not WAN) with its DHCP turned off. So I'm using this router ONLY to extend the network to another area. This is a 3G enabled router. Router IP: 192.168.1.2
There are two different wireless SSIDs but basically only ONE network (all the PCs connected through any of the two routers are on the same subnet and have same IP range i.e. 192.168.1.x). I want to use the 3G internet connection through the secondary router when the ADSL connection is down. Whenever the ADSL connection is down, I would just connect the 3G-USB to the secondary router, all the computers on the network should connect to the internet while skipping their route through the primary router WITHOUT CHANGING ANY SETTINGS. Is it possible? Do I need to modify the routing tables? Or is it possible by configuring the DHCP server to assign the primary DNS address as 192.168.1.1 and secondary DNS address as 192.168.1.2?
I am having a problem in setting up my Router. Its "TP-LINK WR 720N". I have a LAN connection in the main PC and a further dialer like thing with user name and password is executed to access the internet. Each of the customers have diff IDs and passwords based on the bandwidth of the connection. The problem is that first am i connecting the Router in the right way? I put the main LAN cable into the Router's WAN port and the Other Ethernet wire i put is that from PC's Lan port to Router's LAn port. Is this right? I am confused because in the guide a modem is also mentined and i think thats for DSL users...
If i use the above settings, my LAN gets connected and the dialer also works and gets connected but when i access the internet from it, that doesn't work and no webpage opens.
Similarly, the Wireless connetion is displayed in the Laptop and when i access it, it gets connected, but it has a yellow exclamation mark in it, and the same goes here that the internet does not work. My internet connection id fine because i am sing internet no using main Lan ports of Pc, so i guess the problem i s with my Settings...
