Few days ago my people from my ISP installed a router in my house, now it's a D-Link DIR-100 router which they configured themselves and then left. Thing is I have never had a router before so I don't know first thing about them.My current problem is that I want to simultaneously connect another pc to the router, without having to turn one of the pcs off, but they don't seem to be working at the same time, I am guessing it's because of the IP conflict, both pcs had the same IP. I thought I would take a look at the routers web interface but was unable to connect to the default address mentioned in the guide (192.168.0.1), after some googling I tried every kind of variation of the IP addresses, including default gateway (which is different) and whatnot, but still unable to connect. I don't get a timed out, just immediately get the "Unable to connect" error. So I am wondering, if there is a way to either fix the IP conflict without accessing the interface, or how to access the interface and then how to fix the conflict. [code]
I can connect to my router with full strength no matter where I am in my house. But the moment the router leaves my sight, I can no longer connect to the internet. I just recently set up this router and the internet was working completely fine at full speed no matter where I was; then all of a sudden I had to be within direct sight of my router just to connect to the internethere is a 6 meter distance between my router and my room. between that is a plasma tv and one wall. I don't live in a concrete bunker with 6ft thick walls.There is only one conflicting channel in the area and it is channel 1. Changing between different channels has no effect. rebooting the router has a momentary effect where I am able to connect in my room at full speed, but it eventually dies and I lose connection again.
I have a Hp Pavilion dv9000 that is connected to [code] I phoned up my internet provider who ran a series of test on my laptop and they said it was my laptop that was the problem not the router itself. Tests included some sort of number entry on intenernet explorer "192.6.10020" and i also connected the laptop to the internet with a wire which WORK :) But doesnt continue to work once i disconnect the wire. My internet provider said it was definitely down to my laptop. [code]
i am able to connect to unsecured wireless networks but when i connect alll of them say no internet access i only notice a yellow warning sign beside those signal strength bars also and not on secured one !
I migrated my internet from PPPOE to DHCP. My wifi is working with no problem but when I hook up my computer to 1 of the 4 Lan ports I can't seem to connect to the internet I can however log in my router no problem. But I don't get internet access... I wonder what could be the problem. I tried resetting my router and modem to see if just a bug or something but to no avail.
I am having trouble connecting to the Internet only today. my roomate said that my internet service provider had come in yesterday, and tweeked my system. my iphone and pad connection had been a little bit dodgy lately but after the guy came they seem to be all alright, but my laptop connection says NO INTERNET ACCESS. It seems like it has come back and says Internet Access but when i go on my browser and load a link it goes back to No internet access.
i got my laptop back from it being repaired. Even though they haven't actually fixed the problem But anyway i cant connect to the internet, it comes up with 'limited access'
I just installed WiFi at my house. I can connect on my smartphone and by ethernet cable and the Internet works great. I can also connect to the WiFi on my laptop, but the Internet does not work. My homepage will come up but I can't go to any other sites. My computer does not have this problem with any other WiFi networks.Based on what I've read, here's some quick info that might be useful:

The options are: - Plug a cable into the network adapter Local Area Connection - Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter Wireless Network Connection - A problem with your network router or broadband modem might be preventing an Internet connection Note: I am always able to connect to the internet wherever free wi-fi is available. If a password is required all I need is to obtain it and enter it without making any changes in the system. This is the only time Ive had issues getting online, even though I have the password.
I have 2 PC's on a LAN, both Windows 7 Ultimate. Both PC's is connected to the same router via ethernet.Now PC number two has internet access and works great, but PC number 1 also shows "Internet Access" in the system tray and also in the network map, it shows that it is connected to the internet. But when I open ANY browser(FF, IE, Chrome) it cannot connect to the internet. Skype also cannot connect. As I said, the other PC (PC2) can connect fine and has the exact same setup as PC1. However, on PC1, when I manually connect via a dial-up broadband connection using the SAME username and password to my ISP as I used in the router config, it connects. The problem is that it loses the connection every 2 minutes or so...(failed to connect...redialing...). What I can do on PC1 to make it connect to the internet via the router the same way the other PC does?
Also, the two PC connects fine over the LAN between each other, but as I said, PC 1 cannot connect to the WAN the same way PC2 does. Things I tried: I did a TCP/IP stack repair and rebooted. Nothing. I disconnected the 'working PC' from the LAN, nothing. I uninstalled the Antivirus and Firewall, nothing...

i just hooked up a dlink router at home so i can use my laptop in different rooms. i have a desktop in one room and the internet works fine but when i hooked up the wireless router i can connect to the network but it says no internet access so i cannot get online my brother in law is really good with computers and i called him and tryed doing a bunch of different things like changing the web address and such but nothing will work.

Whenver I try to establish a tunnel on SDM_CMAP_2 and run a test using CCP, I get 2 failure reasons:
1. The peer must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following peer(s) are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.130
2. The tunnel traffic destination must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following destinations are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.134
The tunnels on SDM_CMAP_1 are all active Do I need to include a default route for the second ISP on the router? If so, how do I get this done? When I tried it, I had loops on the user LAN segment of the network.
I have a Windows 7 machine that is a client to an old SBS 2003 server. I don't use the server but once a month anymore because there is some old software that I need to keep on it. I also don't want to use the server for internet access anymore. I just use a wireless adapter on the client machine for internet connection. My problem is that I can either use my wireless adaptor for internet access or connect to my server. I can't do both at the same time (I get the "multiple networks red x") and no internet access.
I can connect to the network but doesn't connect to the internet. I have tried a lot of ipconfig cmd's /renew said "unable to connect to dhcp server" and others didnt work all out of ideas.
At home I have a wireless access point that I use to connect my laptop #1 to the Internet. On laptop #1 IP address is set to 193.49.21.65. This IP address also Subnet Mask and other addresses are given by my Internet Service Provider. Everything works just fine but lately I bought another laptop (laptop #2) and now my aim is to connect both laptops to the Internet. Unfortunately, I can't make that happen. Only one of my laptops having IP 193.49.21.65 set can connect to the Internet.

My Laptop stopped having internet access. I am able to connect to my Linksys (says Limited Access) but then it states I do not have internet access. I read other forums and tried to do the "command prompt" but when I try to run as administrator it tells me "The specified service does not exist as an installed service". I am using Windows Vista and McAfee as my spyware.
Abruptly internet access disappeared. It's a router issue, none of the computers here can connect. Further, I can't access the router through a browser - 192.168.0.1 results in a "Firefox cannot connect" message. I've tried resetting the DNS to no avail. So pretty much I'm trying to create a wireless network for a temple. I set up a network with several access points as above. However, they wanted a network for the office separate from the rest of the temple. So I decided to setup Router2 and connect it to one of the LAN ports of an access point.
However, this seems messing up the whole network. People can connect to the access points but they won't have access to the Internet. Also, if I connect my laptop to the office network, I wouldn't see the gateway as 192.168.1.1, which was set for Router2. Instead, I always saw the IP address of Router1 as the gateway.
At first I can connect to Internet for 1 min and fails afterwards even if I reconnect to the router. Then I turn on the Access Control settings on my (NETGEAR) router and put my laptop into the trusted wireless stations list, now it can connect to Internet for 1 min and fails however it works for another 1 min if i reconnect to the router. So now I need to reconnect to the router every minute or so.I can connect to the Internet via Ethernet cables, so I am quite sure it's the wireless problem on my router but not the service provider's fault.
We have a home use WRT160N router linked to a PC desktop and two wireless laptops, Yesterday bought a new I-Phone, but could not link to my network (entered the security key many times). I am trying to setup my E4200 to my new Cable Modem. I followed all of the procedures. I get Internet access when plugged directly to modem. I cloned the MAC Address and the Stus of the Router displays my current IP's (so I should have Internet). However, when I plug my computer into the Router I get no internet access.

The media server works fine but after a while i loose contact with the router and the server this means that the Cisco connect doesn't work, the 192.168.1.1 doesn't work and I can't find the disk via \. I tried setting it up but if I connect the router to my laptop, I couldn't connect to the internet. While i was setting the wireless router, I couldn't access 192.168.1.1.
