i am able to connect to unsecured wireless networks but when i connect alll of them say no internet access i only notice a yellow warning sign beside those signal strength bars also and not on secured one !

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can connect to my router with full strength no matter where I am in my house. But the moment the router leaves my sight, I can no longer connect to the internet. I just recently set up this router and the internet was working completely fine at full speed no matter where I was; then all of a sudden I had to be within direct sight of my router just to connect to the internethere is a 6 meter distance between my router and my room. between that is a plasma tv and one wall. I don't live in a concrete bunker with 6ft thick walls.There is only one conflicting channel in the area and it is channel 1. Changing between different channels has no effect. rebooting the router has a momentary effect where I am able to connect in my room at full speed, but it eventually dies and I lose connection again.

Does 'reached max retries' mean that the client has tried to many times to connect to the AP/Bridge?

Thing is I have never had a router before so I don't know first thing about them.My current problem is that I want to simultaneously connect another pc to the router, without having to turn one of the pcs off, but they don't seem to be working at the same time, I am guessing it's because of the IP conflict, both pcs had the same IP. I thought I would take a look at the routers web interface but was unable to connect to the default address mentioned in the guide (192.168.0.1), after some googling I tried every kind of variation of the IP addresses, including default gateway (which is different) and whatnot, but still unable to connect. I don't get a timed out, just immediately get the "Unable to connect" error. So I am wondering, if there is a way to either fix the IP conflict without accessing the interface, or how to access the interface and then how to fix the conflict. [code]

Tests included some sort of number entry on intenernet explorer "192.6.10020" and i also connected the laptop to the internet with a wire which WORK :) But doesnt continue to work once i disconnect the wire. My wifi is working with no problem but when I hook up my computer to 1 of the 4 Lan ports I can't seem to connect to the internet I can however log in my router no problem. i just hooked up a dlink router at home so i can use my laptop in different rooms. i have a desktop in one room and the internet works fine but when i hooked up the wireless router i can connect to the network but it says no internet access so i cannot get online my brother in law is really good with computers and i called him and tryed doing a bunch of different things like changing the web address and such but nothing will work.

I don't use the server but once a month anymore because there is some old software that I need to keep on it. I also don't want to use the server for internet access anymore. I just use a wireless adapter on the client machine for internet connection. My problem is that I can either use my wireless adaptor for internet access or connect to my server. I can't do both at the same time (I get the "multiple networks red x") and no internet access.

This IP address also Subnet Mask and other addresses are given by my Internet Service Provider. Everything works just fine but lately I bought another laptop (laptop #2) and now my aim is to connect both laptops to the Internet. Unfortunately, I can't make that happen. Only one of my laptops having IP 193.49.21.65 set can connect to the Internet.

StartSSL offers free SSL certificates, so I'm guessing that means no Warning messages from browsers IE,Chrome,firefox atleast? Has anybody used this StartSSL certificate lvl1 is free..I'd tryed this myself but my hosting company is charging twice more for having ssl(just having it not even buying) than for hosting my website.

We are using ACS 5.1 and from time to time we are getting a warning saying that the active sessions are over the limit (250000). It is just a warning, so my assumption is that its not a big deal, but how do we keep from getting the event, or prevent the event?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe internet at my parents house has recently gone on the fritz..the wireless router is a N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400..The computers of the house are able to connect to it..But it does not allow internet connections..The 3 computers are an HP Laptop running windows 7.a Dell Dimension E521 Running windows 7 & and an older HP Walmart special running XP.They can connect to outside systems and through a wired connection to the Modem from Cable vision. They replaced the wireless router and the problem continues.Internet is capable by plugging directly into the Cable vision router,unfortunately do not have the cables to try through the Netgear router to test that out..

For wired workstations: bridged DSL modem->wireless Linksys E900 router->Dell PowerConnect 2824 switch->2 modular 4-port jacks->individual workstations For wireless: bridged DSL modem->wireless Linksys E900 router->workstations The workstations were set up to pick up IP addresses automatically.After an infrastructure upgrade where we added some Cat6 cables and swapped the modular jacks for a patch panel, we lost all connectivity. I restored the connectivity to the wired workstations by assigning IP addresses. But we have no wireless and I cannot access the router GUI at its IP address (even when plugged directly into the router). All the workstations show the default gateway as 192.168.10.1, so I don't know what's going on.
I am trying to setup my E4200 to my new Cable Modem. I followed all of the procedures. I get Internet access when plugged directly to modem. I cloned the MAC Address and the Stus of the Router displays my current IP's (so I should have Internet). However, when I plug my computer into the Router I get no internet access.

I need to buy a new wired and wireless router so I can sync my new Android 4G phone (I'm in an area with bad cell coverage but I can sync with wi-fi). I have a second house about 200 feet from mine and have 3 Cat5E lines running underground in conduit to it so the lady next door and and her two kids can use the internet (I have 40-50mb service for my business use at home). Problem is that my kids have discovered YouTube, streaming video, video chat, etc. and are burning up my bandwidth. I currently have two of the lines to them disconnected so that I can limit their use to one computer at a time. View 2 Replies View Related1. Just got a new DLINK Xtreme N DIR-825 Router. Directly connected this to the internet.
2. Currently, the Linksys WRT54G (1st Generation) is connected to the DLINK by an Ethernet cable to one of the 4 ports on the back.
3. The Linksys further splits the signal to another 2 computers and a NAS by hardwire.
4. The internet is still getting through to all the computers, but the computers are not able to access the NAS or each other.
5. I can't seem to open the WRT54G's access (192.168.1.1) because (I thin) the new DLINK uses a local set of IPs that are 192.168.0.1xx.
I can login to the NAS using its IP, and I can see it on the 'Network Places' of the computers ,but when I try to connect, it says the drive is moved, etc. etc.I use a variety of computers / O.S's on this system: XP (2) hardwired, Win 7 (2) hard wired, Win 7 (1) wireless, Mac OS X Snow Leopard (1) Wireless, plus various other wireless devices (phones,Wii, etc.).
NAS is a Synology DS411+
1) Get logged into my Linksys
2) Get the NAS accepted by other computers on the network.
My EA4500 has the newest firmware and is properly configured to support 20+ wireless and wired devices. It does this job well.Guest Access, however, is a problem. It works for about a day, then stops.Guests can access the login screen and enter the password. Then nothing happens. The screen appears to "load", but it does not connect.I have tried returning to default settings and reconfiguring and reupdating firmware. I have tried turning Guest Access on and off, as well as resetting the password.The only that works is rebooting the router. This is obviously not practical, especially for a contract client.
