I am having trouble connecting to the Internet only today. my roomate said that my internet service provider had come in yesterday, and tweeked my system. my iphone and pad connection had been a little bit dodgy lately but after the guy came they seem to be all alright, but my laptop connection says NO INTERNET ACCESS. It seems like it has come back and says Internet Access but when i go on my browser and load a link it goes back to No internet access.
i got my laptop back from it being repaired. Even though they haven't actually fixed the problem But anyway i cant connect to the internet, it comes up with 'limited access'
I just installed WiFi at my house. I can connect on my smartphone and by ethernet cable and the Internet works great. I can also connect to the WiFi on my laptop, but the Internet does not work. My homepage will come up but I can't go to any other sites. My computer does not have this problem with any other WiFi networks.Based on what I've read, here's some quick info that might be useful:

Few days ago my people from my ISP installed a router in my house, now it's a D-Link DIR-100 router which they configured themselves and then left. Thing is I have never had a router before so I don't know first thing about them.My current problem is that I want to simultaneously connect another pc to the router, without having to turn one of the pcs off, but they don't seem to be working at the same time, I am guessing it's because of the IP conflict, both pcs had the same IP. I thought I would take a look at the routers web interface but was unable to connect to the default address mentioned in the guide (192.168.0.1), after some googling I tried every kind of variation of the IP addresses, including default gateway (which is different) and whatnot, but still unable to connect. I don't get a timed out, just immediately get the "Unable to connect" error. So I am wondering, if there is a way to either fix the IP conflict without accessing the interface, or how to access the interface and then how to fix the conflict. [code]
I have a Compaq Presario Windows Vista. I currently have a Wireless router. It used to be Netgear. About 2 wks or so, my company changed it and gave me the password. I am currently connected to the one they changed to but local access only and no internet. Under Network and Sharing Center, it says: Unidentified network (Public network) Access: Local only Connection: Wireless Network Connection (perfectv) Under Internet Options, Connections , it shows the following connection: T-Mobile US Standard Modem When I try using the Windows Network Diagnostics, it keeps coming back with the options that havent worked. The options are: - Plug a cable into the network adapter Local Area Connection - Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter Wireless Network Connection - A problem with your network router or broadband modem might be preventing an Internet connection Note: I am always able to connect to the internet wherever free wi-fi is available. If a password is required all I need is to obtain it and enter it without making any changes in the system. This is the only time Ive had issues getting online, even though I have the password.
I have 2 PC's on a LAN, both Windows 7 Ultimate. Both PC's is connected to the same router via ethernet.Now PC number two has internet access and works great, but PC number 1 also shows "Internet Access" in the system tray and also in the network map, it shows that it is connected to the internet. But when I open ANY browser(FF, IE, Chrome) it cannot connect to the internet. Skype also cannot connect. As I said, the other PC (PC2) can connect fine and has the exact same setup as PC1. However, on PC1, when I manually connect via a dial-up broadband connection using the SAME username and password to my ISP as I used in the router config, it connects. The problem is that it loses the connection every 2 minutes or so...(failed to connect...redialing...). What I can do on PC1 to make it connect to the internet via the router the same way the other PC does?
Also, the two PC connects fine over the LAN between each other, but as I said, PC 1 cannot connect to the WAN the same way PC2 does. Things I tried: I did a TCP/IP stack repair and rebooted. Nothing. I disconnected the 'working PC' from the LAN, nothing. I uninstalled the Antivirus and Firewall, nothing...

i just hooked up a dlink router at home so i can use my laptop in different rooms. i have a desktop in one room and the internet works fine but when i hooked up the wireless router i can connect to the network but it says no internet access so i cannot get online my brother in law is really good with computers and i called him and tryed doing a bunch of different things like changing the web address and such but nothing will work.

I have Modem and Linksys router I could able to connect to internet through Modem(Direct connection). But when I connected the router I could not get internet access.
I can connect to my router with full strength no matter where I am in my house. But the moment the router leaves my sight, I can no longer connect to the internet. I just recently set up this router and the internet was working completely fine at full speed no matter where I was; then all of a sudden I had to be within direct sight of my router just to connect to the internethere is a 6 meter distance between my router and my room. between that is a plasma tv and one wall. I don't live in a concrete bunker with 6ft thick walls.There is only one conflicting channel in the area and it is channel 1. Changing between different channels has no effect. rebooting the router has a momentary effect where I am able to connect in my room at full speed, but it eventually dies and I lose connection again.
I have a Windows 7 machine that is a client to an old SBS 2003 server. I don't use the server but once a month anymore because there is some old software that I need to keep on it. I also don't want to use the server for internet access anymore. I just use a wireless adapter on the client machine for internet connection. My problem is that I can either use my wireless adaptor for internet access or connect to my server. I can't do both at the same time (I get the "multiple networks red x") and no internet access.

Tests included some sort of number entry on intenernet explorer "192.6.10020" and i also connected the laptop to the internet with a wire which WORK :) But doesnt continue to work once i disconnect the wire. i am able to connect to unsecured wireless networks but when i connect alll of them say no internet access i only notice a yellow warning sign beside those signal strength bars also and not on secured one !
I can connect to the network but doesn't connect to the internet. I have tried a lot of ipconfig cmd's /renew said "unable to connect to dhcp server" and others didnt work all out of ideas.
At home I have a wireless access point that I use to connect my laptop #1 to the Internet. On laptop #1 IP address is set to 193.49.21.65. This IP address also Subnet Mask and other addresses are given by my Internet Service Provider. Everything works just fine but lately I bought another laptop (laptop #2) and now my aim is to connect both laptops to the Internet. Unfortunately, I can't make that happen. Only one of my laptops having IP 193.49.21.65 set can connect to the Internet.

I migrated my internet from PPPOE to DHCP. My wifi is working with no problem but when I hook up my computer to 1 of the 4 Lan ports I can't seem to connect to the internet I can however log in my router no problem. But I don't get internet access... I wonder what could be the problem. I tried resetting my router and modem to see if just a bug or something but to no avail.

I'm having some difficulties with the VLAN setup on the SG-200 and the WiFi access point. The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is only able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (PVID 1). If I plug it into one of the other VLANs then any clients connected to the WiFi lose access to the internet and cannot access devices on the VLAN. Whenver I try to establish a tunnel on SDM_CMAP_2 and run a test using CCP, I get 2 failure reasons:
1. The peer must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following peer(s) are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.130

The tunnels on SDM_CMAP_1 are all active Do I need to include a default route for the second ISP on the router? If so, how do I get this done? When I tried it, I had loops on the user LAN segment of the network.
I've been following those instructions to set a dir-615 as a wifi access point connected to a switch : [URL]. I am now able to connect to the 615 either by wifi or by typing it's ip address with another computer connected to the LAN. Connecting to the 615 by wifi, i can do a ping request to urls or receive and send mail with my e-mail client but i can't access websites using my browser.s it possible to get it working without installing some kind of modified firmware? I tried plugging the Internet ethernet cable in the LAN and Internet ports of the 615, none works.
Abruptly internet access disappeared. It's a router issue, none of the computers here can connect. Further, I can't access the router through a browser - 192.168.0.1 results in a "Firefox cannot connect" message. I've tried resetting the DNS to no avail. I only want the guest network to have internet access. I have the guest network enabled on the router and access points with the option to "Allow Guest network to access main network" disabled. My problem is that since the access points aren't hooked directly to my modem via the WAN port, the guest network broadcasted from the access points does not have internet access.I have read up on setting up a separate subnet for the guest network using DD-WRT but was curious if there was a way to get the desired result with the stock Netgear firmware.
I have a modem connected to a router wirelessly and an access point few computers have access to the internet and some has limited access even those close to the access point.
I have a laptop that I take to work, and would like to set things up to use my home internet connection from elsewhere. I don't have another computer to function as a server for me at home, so would like to do it so that my router alone provides this access (log into it from the internet anywhere and use my internet as if I am using it from home). I have a Sony Vaio running Windows 7 Home Premium. Yesterday I accessed the Internet at the office over a Cat5 cable. Last night I accessed the Internet at home via my USB Internet dongle (actually an O2 mobile phone). Today neither works. I am connected to my network wirelessly and I have Internet acces (according to the symbol at the bottom right) bu the Internet doesn't work.
