Cisco :: 1130AG Access Point Module Will Support Radius
Nov 4, 2012
In our Environment we used to Connect to wifi using Radius Authentication Through AD Account (Encryption: TKIP and CIpher, Authentication Open+EAP and Network EAP, Key management WPA) this settings which will be done And pushed through AD Itself. We Use CIsco 1130AG, 1200 Series in most of the areas which have no Issues. But We Have Some trouble with Cisco WAP4410N Access point. In This Access point users were not able to Connect to wifi through Radius Authentication. However users were able to Connect to these Access point, but it is unsecured, whoever configure's the correct client settings in their PC. They can connect to SSID. This Access point is capable of supporting Radius Authentication?
I noticed that the 3600 access point series will get an add-on module to support 802.11ac. This standard will support more than 1 GBit/s.But the 3600 series still do only have got one GBit port. Any extended information about 802.11ac in the upcoming Cisco portfolio?
I am trying to find a way to login to our wirless access point. I have a Aironet 1130AG series wireless router. I have the ip address. It is a POE device so i dont have a power supply for this device. When it is on I can see the Wireless Network but the passcode has been lost and no one knows it. Is there a default IP address for this equipment? There is an Ethernet port for a console but without the power supply i cannot access it.
One of my Wi-Fi site, having cisco_1130AG access points nearly 110nos as of now i installed 80nos, after installing, in out off 80nos nearly 12nos of APs's radio is showing down.
Again i reset and re-configure then it is working fine, is there any readio (802.11g/a) problem in this model?
I am currently trying to get eap-tls user certificate based wireless authentication working. The mismatch of guides im trying to follow has me coming up trumps with success so far.

I have a customer with a RV180w running the latest firmware. We are currently using the router as a router and to provide wireless access. We want to add wireless coverage and I am interested in our options. We have a ethernet backbone which we could use to give the new AP LAN connectivity. Can we buy another RV180W and use it in AP mode and provide roaming wireless connectivty. The client wants a guest and business WLAN so we will use the VLAN feature of the router. How do we configure the new AP? Do we need to use WDS? If we use WDS, can we still use WPA2?
It works beautifully with the external antenna WRT54G, and WRT54GL, but will it work with the WRT54G series with an internal antenna? (repeater mode) What other products does it work with? (repeater mode?)
When the WAP54G is set up as a repeater for a WRT54G, will a computer connected to the LAN port on the WAP54G be able to connect to the network? I know it will see the WAP54G if I manually set it's ip address.
I guess I want it to act as a wireless NIC for the desktop while also operating as a repeater. Is this possible? If not, will one of the other AP settings like Bridge allow the wired connection to connect to the other side of the network and give wireless access to wireless devices? I've hacked up and attached one of Linksys's diagrams to show what I'm trying to do. It seems to me the easiest thing to do would be to buy a wireless NIC for the desktop.
Is 802.11ac wireless module for Cisco Access Point 3602 is available to order ? what Wireless controller we need to use for the support of 802.11ac wireless standard ?802.11ac will support only on 5700 series wireless controller ? Or it will support with 5508 Series also ?
I have multiple cisco 1130ag access point at one of my clients villa. The issue I am facing is when moving throughout the buildingthe laptop and smartphones will not switch between AP’s unless it loses its connection with its existing AP then it will see the other AP that is closer and connect to it.
For example, I start at one end of the building where it connects to AP#1 , if I then slowly go to another section of the villa, it it will not switch over to AP#2 until the signal is lost from AP1
I have following settings
AP's are Cisco 1130AG Single SSID with WEP Security
We have a guest wireless network using 1130AG Access Points. Is it possible to allow devices on this network access to an Internal IP? I know that kind of defeats the purpose on the guest network, but we'd like to give access to internal email to these devices. Currently this does not work because you cannot loop back into the network to gain access (out the firewall and right back in the same port).
I'm running version 7.2.111.3 on my WLC 5508 and I try to figure out how I can set PEAP towards my configurerd Radius servers. On my Local EAP profile I can specify PEAP, but how is it default configurerd when you just specify the radius servers on the "WLANs > Edit Test > security > AAA servers tab ?
The MS radius logs tell me that it is EAP and not PEAP, so the questions is does the WLC support Microsoft: Protected EAP ???

I am trying to follow the Fips guide for the WLC5508 and it wants to encrypt the connection to the Radius, either with PSK key wrap or IPsec. I have the options for Ipsec only as the Windoes NPS does not support Key wrap from what a previous user confirmed for me here on the board.. But then found another post that states that the 5508 does not support IPsec?
I recently got a refurbished external (USB) wireless adapter by Netgear. It's the WNA3100 but who knows what they did to it while refurbishing it.
I tried using it to connect to the wireless network at my university, and I got the above-displayed error. So what's the deal? This RADIUS thing is not a new technology, right? So any modern wireless adapter should be able to handle it. Why would this thing not support it?
Secondly, if it doesn't work, that's alright. I need a second wireless adapter anyway, so I could use this one at home where the RADIUS thing is not an issue. But how do I make sure this does not happen again with another one that I buy? I can't seem to find anywhere in the specs anything about this compatibility. For instance, I believe I want to get this one next:URL
One of my client want to upgrade its already installed ASA5540-bun-k9 by adding CSC-20 Module. As per below link CSC-20 is supported with ASA5540. but for any reason the ASA5540 bundle option with CSC Module is not available that create confusion. Will CSC-20 Module work with ASA5540-bun-k9 [URL]
we have two 6509 catalyst. we bought two new SFM-capable 16 port 1000mb GBIC/WS-X6516A-GBIC module. but our catalysts doesnt support them. we don't know the reason. we tried on another 6500 series catalyst they worked.
here are the outputs from our 6509:

I have a couple of these routers in the lab with a very basic MPLS configuration on them. Everything works fine on the fixed interfaces but I cannot get the ldp neighborship to form between the 1FE2W interfaces on each router. Does this module support MPLS?
I have both ipv4 and Ipv6 config on all the three hops. Between Cisco and Sami module, I have the Ip config on vlan interface 1400(say). Its not on a physical interface obviously, I can ping ipv5 from DUT to Sami IPv4 address. But Ipv6 doesnt work. If I add a sttic route to DUT network on SAMI, show ipv6 route does not show it.
I have a switch Cisco WS-C6509-E WS-X6716-10G-3C module ( module for 10 GB) , i have the IOS s72033-ipservicesk9-mz.122-18.SXF9.bin. I want to know if this IOS can support this module or not ? or , if i must do a upgrade , is that the IOS : "s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXH8" work fine ?
How would I bridge a wireless connection with a distance of 400 feet? Would twoAP1262N-A-K9 be able to make this happen? Or is there another wireless bridge that you all can think of?I would be connecting one AP1262 of off a 3750g switch and at the far end (400 ft aproximately) another AP1262N-A-K9.
Does ACE service module support SHA2(256) certificates? I see that private key generation defaults to SHA1 and does not provide any option, also the cipher suites in SSL parameters map do not show SHA2 options. Can it handle SHA2 in any software release? I am currently running A2(2.3) build 3.00
I am trying to install SFP-GE-T module on Nexus 5548UP Switch, but is giving the ‘SFP validation Failed’ error. The details of the switch is given below
Model : N5K-C5548UP-FA
The interface is configured with speed 1000 before inserting the module, still we are getting the same error. PFA logs for more details We have 8 Nos of SFP-GE-T modules , all are giving same error. We tried to insert the module on onboard as well as expansion module.
The same module is working fine on Cisco 3750X-24T-L Switch As per the Hardware installation guide , SFP-GE-T transciever is supported on N5K platform. Please extend your support in configuring SFP-GE-T module on N5K platform? We tried with SFP-GE-S module on the same switch , and the same is found working fine.
In the WLC there are two groups (say A and B). How would I take group B and point it to a RADIUS server for authentication? The server is ping reachable. I have searched but did not see any definitive answer.
I had a new AIR-AP1042N-N-K9 access point and I tried to convert it into lightweight mode with the image c1140-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2.tar . I used all the methods but the AP is getting hanged at one position after decompressing the new IOS. The capture of the process is below: [code] After this I am getting the junk characters and everytime AP hangs at this position.
