I have two ssid's on my 1130ag each with different security when I use wep I can get my email on my droid. When i connect to the second ssid and use wpk I can get to the in the Internet but my email will not move in Exchange.
View 3 RepliesMy internet connection is definitely ok, i could surf the web etc, i can dl other things EXCEPT all online lectures from my uni's site. The download is stuck at a few kbs/sec and it wont move, no progress or anything but later on it automatically states that download is completed. And the file doesnt amount to its rightful size which is a few MB. I used to be able to dl without any problem, this occurred quite suddenly. It happen few months ago, I thought maybe to give it some time and it would be ok.ut Ive tried many times and I dont think it is anything with my uni's site because ive tried to dl the same file with another computer which is successful. I tried switching browers, reinstalling my browsers and turned off my firewall but they wont work.

what is the advantage of upgrading the ios.and i want to upgrade the image to all the access points at time?
I'm trying to configure the 1130AG from scratch but I'm not having any luck. I tried using the IPSU utility and entered the MAC address but it errors, "The device does not answer". I have connected it to a network so it can get an IP from DHCP but it doesn't respond. And when it boots up from factory reset there is no SSID broadcast for me to connect to. I have tried connecting through the Ethernet port and the Console port to my computer but no luck.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a couple 1130AG switches. I'm trying to pull an image file from the flash on a Cisco Air AP1131AG. The file is c1130-k9w8-mx.124-23c.JA4.tar. The issue that I'm seeing is, I do not see a copy command to go through the tftp process. I've tried to use tftpd32 and enter the IP of the AP as the remote host, but that is not working either. Do I need to connect an ethernet cable straight to the AP in order to use Tftpd32, or can I use a console cable?

[code] I found some details here: url... but I'm not sure what it means that I have a 'SSC AP'. I am not local to this AP, though I do have a console connection to it-what do I need to do to get it working again? It just continually goes through this error and reboots every 30 seconds or so, so it's useless at the moment.

The users find this annoying, but I am more concerned about the security perspective. So I want to implement WPA2 with a shorter key for the people to remember. On one floor, I also want to add a public network when other people want to connect and just need internet access. How to change the current set-up and regarding the security and implementation. If all of the Access Points could work togheter and just be 1 wireless network. I don't know if this is possible and how to do it? For the public network I know there also need to be some changes in VLAN's. The firewall is a cisco ASA5505.

I am struggling to work out how to connect this and get it working.
Router has 2 v lans, VOICE and DATA. All switch ports configured for access v lan (DATA) and voice v lan (VOICE)
We need the AP to have an SSID for VOICE and DATA and the gateway/DHCP server for each of these to be the router.
I got a problem with a ap that I have here where I do not have the password and I did the process to reset the AP to factory defaults, but the configuration still the same, and the AP still asking for the enable password, its the same problem poused before in this link URL. I did the same process but I still have the old configuration on the AP. I noticed that the AP change the image when I reset the AP, using the mode button. the AP is starting with and rcv image. I need to reset the AP to its initial configuration.

We have a simple 192.168.1.x subnet currently, with the Aironet as our only AP. The Aironet support a "guest" wireless function, but how do I make that work with the RV180?
I'm working on creating an open wireless scheme and we are simply going to use WPA with a key. What I'm getting a little stuck on is preventing access, by the guests that will connect to the WAPs, to the gateway/management webpage. I've been looking into seperating with VLANs and trunks (internal with management access and external for guests) but having a hard time with the configuration scheme.
Not sure if there is an easy way to just block that in the config or what.
I'm trying to set up this 1130AG with a private wireless network and a guest wireless network. Initially it had just one wireless (private) and it worked fine, but then when I created the two VLANs for each SSID and then the guest SSID and now the guest SSID is visible/broadcasting, but the private SSID has disappeared or is off.
P.S. - It's a Cisco Aironet 1130AG (AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9) running 12.3(8)JEA system software and I'm using the web GUI (I'm not familar with the command line for Cisco products yet).
I have multiple cisco 1130ag access point at one of my clients villa. The issue I am facing is when moving throughout the buildingthe laptop and smartphones will not switch between AP’s unless it loses its connection with its existing AP then it will see the other AP that is closer and connect to it.
For example, I start at one end of the building where it connects to AP#1 , if I then slowly go to another section of the villa, it it will not switch over to AP#2 until the signal is lost from AP1

It is a POE device so i dont have a power supply for this device. When it is on I can see the Wireless Network but the passcode has been lost and no one knows it. Is there a default IP address for this equipment? There is an Ethernet port for a console but without the power supply i cannot access it.

They can connect to SSID. This Access point is capable of supporting Radius Authentication?

I know that kind of defeats the purpose on the guest network, but we'd like to give access to internal email to these devices. Currently this does not work because you cannot loop back into the network to gain access (out the firewall and right back in the same port).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded the configuration on one of our 1130 series standalone access points. I've implemented RADIUS authentication, WPA2 encryption etc. in an effort to make our network more secure. While this part seems to be working as planned, our data transfer speeds have taken a major hit. On our test AP, with only one laptop connected, the laptop will report a connection at 54 Mbits. When using any speed test service the speed reported is approximately 15 Mbits. We have 100 Mbit internet, and desktops connected to ethernet show much higher speeds. When transferring files via our own LAN, data transfer rates average approximately 2 Mbytes/second. I've tested this on 3 separate laptops, some relatively new, and it seems they all get the same speeds.
Long story short, our wireless seems to be operating under a third of its reported speed.
Want to transfer email and email folders to a disk. I have Windows Vista on my computer and I use Comcast for an internet server.
