View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a couple 1130AG switches. I'm trying to pull an image file from the flash on a Cisco Air AP1131AG. The file is c1130-k9w8-mx.124-23c.JA4.tar. The issue that I'm seeing is, I do not see a copy command to go through the tftp process. I've tried to use tftpd32 and enter the IP of the AP as the remote host, but that is not working either. Do I need to connect an ethernet cable straight to the AP in order to use Tftpd32, or can I use a console cable?

I am not local to this AP, though I do have a console connection to it-what do I need to do to get it working again? It just continually goes through this error and reboots every 30 seconds or so, so it's useless at the moment.

I am struggling to work out how to connect this and get it working.
Router has 2 v lans, VOICE and DATA. All switch ports configured for access v lan (DATA) and voice v lan (VOICE)
We need the AP to have an SSID for VOICE and DATA and the gateway/DHCP server for each of these to be the router.
I got a problem with a ap that I have here where I do not have the password and I did the process to reset the AP to factory defaults, but the configuration still the same, and the AP still asking for the enable password, its the same problem poused before in this link URL. I did the same process but I still have the old configuration on the AP. I noticed that the AP change the image when I reset the AP, using the mode button. the AP is starting with and rcv image. I need to reset the AP to its initial configuration.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up this 1130AG with a private wireless network and a guest wireless network. Initially it had just one wireless (private) and it worked fine, but then when I created the two VLANs for each SSID and then the guest SSID and now the guest SSID is visible/broadcasting, but the private SSID has disappeared or is off.
P.S. - It's a Cisco Aironet 1130AG (AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9) running 12.3(8)JEA system software and I'm using the web GUI (I'm not familar with the command line for Cisco products yet).
I have multiple cisco 1130ag access point at one of my clients villa. The issue I am facing is when moving throughout the buildingthe laptop and smartphones will not switch between AP’s unless it loses its connection with its existing AP then it will see the other AP that is closer and connect to it.
For example, I start at one end of the building where it connects to AP#1 , if I then slowly go to another section of the villa, it it will not switch over to AP#2 until the signal is lost from AP1
I have following settings
AP's are Cisco 1130AG
Single SSID with WEP Security
i have installed ISE1.1 on VM and other hand vWLC7.4 also there in VM i am using 1130AG APs in flexconnect mode and using central auth and central switch.i wan to configure it for CWA(central web Auth) from ISE but a little a bit confuse about ACLs.

It is a POE device so i dont have a power supply for this device. When it is on I can see the Wireless Network but the passcode has been lost and no one knows it. Is there a default IP address for this equipment? There is an Ethernet port for a console but without the power supply i cannot access it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a guest wireless network using 1130AG Access Points. Is it possible to allow devices on this network access to an Internal IP? I know that kind of defeats the purpose on the guest network, but we'd like to give access to internal email to these devices. Currently this does not work because you cannot loop back into the network to gain access (out the firewall and right back in the same port).

View 9 Replies View Relatedwe just deployed a cisco wireless solution with WLC4404-100, WCS, and a bunch of 1130AP and I experience some problem with file copy under windows xp. The file copy is working fine with my Ethernet connection however. The symptom is as follow. I cannot copy large file from a share to the computer. The copy starts then after a while (let's say 30MB copy over a 100MB file) it stops with the error 'File copy error: The network name is no longer available'. When this occurs, I still have my wireless card connected and I can ping my computer from the controller.I tried to adjust some radio settings (channel, power on the AP I'm connected to) because we have a large wireless network here, but no success. I also update the wireless card driver, create a new SSID, etc. No success at all. However the copy went fine for small file size.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSeveral 1130AG AP, auto IOS, are showing the same three errors;
1. 'Error' Interface BVI1 Changed to up
2. 'Error' Interface Fast Ethernet0 Changed to up
3. 'Error' Interface Dot11Radio0 Changed to up
ATTACHED image
Why these interfaces coming 'up' would be an 'error'? Seems almost like hardware failure/s. So we have been investigating on several 1130AGs bought from different places, with different configs and still get the errors. The APs appear to 'work' (i.e. basic config, wireless working, clients assoss., data flows to internet and back through APs) but the error causes the event log to show 'error' and for the status LED to turn 'yellow', instead of 'light green' (light green when working normally and no clients assos).
I have worked with many cisco APs and never ran across these two errors.
At first I thought it was a power issue, as the AP will boot up in low power if it doesnt think it's getting enough power, which could cause the IOS error possibly. But all of our APs are powered by wall plug cisco 48v OEM plugs, no POE injectors or switches. We even changed the settings in power of the IOS to 'pre-compatiable' POE and similar and still recieve the error and yellow LED status light. We looked into this power issue because we wanted to rule out if these was what was producing the errors that were reporting.
The second thing we did was setup the test APs with a very basic config, one ssid, no security, as to rule out a config error and also, no config will make the radios disabled, so without a basic config the APs cant be tested anyway (since the radios are now disabled from default). so we tested very basic configs and still getting the error and yellow LED (which all manuals say it should be light green normally working and no clients). all config changes brought wireless up and we can connect clients and data flows but still the errors stay and yellow LED once all clients disconnect. Note; when clients connect the yellow LED turns to light green, but thats not the colors the manual states they should be which is odd).
Third, a couple engineers suggested this error was from the AP scanning channels to choose the least congested (default config) and it will pick a channel but produce this error still and go yellow. We changed the configs to the least congested channels and it reboots and still gets these errors.
We have tried several IOS software packages, some newer, some older, all auto. though, no LAP.
We googled the errors but could only find ONE post with these errors. Some engineers said these errors are 'normal' and they have seen them before, but theres nothing on the web about the errors and we have owned 20-40 different cisco IOS APs and never seen this, and we have the same issues with 4 1130AGs, all in almost new condition, bought from different places.
Unless you have opened a 1130 many people dont know the status LED is actually 3 LEDs (one assembly with 3 micro LEDs, blue, green and red) that combine in color (the micro LEDs light up in different intensities causing many final color combintations), and the LEDs colors mix together via a plastic light guide on the top to show the status LED, and we believe the error is causing the status LED color to be off because the error is making the yellow light up and mix with the other colors causing all the other colors to be incorrect. we have researched trying to clear the error by 'clear logging' CLI command, hoping that may clear out the interface error and turn the yellow LED off because there would be no log of the error, but we have not succeded.
I can not get this to work.I have 1 EuroDocsis modem and 2x 1130AG wireless things. How do I manage to get this connected to each other wirelessly? The internet is allready configured at the EuroDocsis modem and I now want to distribute it wirelessly to both 1130AG's. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed an Aironet 1130AG and utilized a power injector for the power source. I have the settings configured correctly in IOS, but the AP takes about 7 minutes to come on (illuminate LED status lights) once the Ethernet cable is connected. Is this 7 minute power-on delay normal when using POE? I am used to the instanteous "on" that usually comes with Cisco products being connected directly to the AC adapter.

I'm trying to configure the 1130AG from scratch but I'm not having any luck. I tried using the IPSU utility and entered the MAC address but it errors, "The device does not answer". I have connected it to a network so it can get an IP from DHCP but it doesn't respond. And when it boots up from factory reset there is no SSID broadcast for me to connect to. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded my new WLC to version 7.0.98.218. I noticed the N/A for the Field recovery version. On my old 4402 it is called the Emergency Image Version, and it is 5.2.157.0
How do i get a recovery version on the WLC?
My questions is in relation to disaster recovery, for wireless. We have our main data center, in the US, with two 5508 controllers. We have a DR location, in Europe, with two 5508 controller. We're upgrading our 5508's to the 7.4 code, so that we can take advantage of the RP port for our controllers. With that said, is there a way to make the US and Europe controllers redundant?
If there's a disaster, in the US, would the AP licensing, and AP's attach to the European controllers? Our AP's are set up with HA. I'm more concerned about the licensing flipping over to the DR controllers. I've tried researching this topic, and can't really find anything on it.
I did a System Recovery after my computer had the virus that redirected me to a pop ups and different websites every time. After System Recovery I no longer have internet connection on the computer I used. All the other devices and computer can access my router but not the computer that I've used System Recovery on. I looked at Device Manager and all of my Networking Devices are working properly. I even looked at Wireless Zero Configuration and the Startup type is Automatic and the Service Status is Started.I go into Network Connections and my USB Adapter has an red X on it. I right clicked properties and looked at wireless networks and the preferred networks is grayed out[CODE]
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow would I configure a "guest" wireless network, with a different key/password, that uses a different subnet than the existing network?
We have a simple 192.168.1.x subnet currently, with the Aironet as our only AP. The Aironet support a "guest" wireless function, but how do I make that work with the RV180?
I'm working on creating an open wireless scheme and we are simply going to use WPA with a key. What I'm getting a little stuck on is preventing access, by the guests that will connect to the WAPs, to the gateway/management webpage. I've been looking into seperating with VLANs and trunks (internal with management access and external for guests) but having a hard time with the configuration scheme.
Not sure if there is an easy way to just block that in the config or what.
