View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night we upgraded one of our offices 3560 (WS-C3560-24PS) to 12.2(55) SE6. With these switches, NTP is no longer working. The NTP server is a router at this office. Switches at this office that were not upgraded (3750) are getting NTP normally. Below is a copy of the show ntp association and show ntp status. I have removed the ntp lines from the switch configuration and re-added them, and that has not changed anything.

I have added 2900 series devices in LMS3.2.1 but same are showing "unknown"device Type in a report generated from common services DC R device List.
Both are snip enabled and responding too. What is the reason behind unknown device type so those are not reflecting in any module.

I have LMS 4.1 and I'm trying to render a Nexus 7010 in Ciscoview. I have downloaded the latest package files. The Sup2 and Fab2 modules (N7K-SUP2 and N7K-C7010-FAB-2) show as "unsupported card".What packages and versions are required to recognize this card with LMS 4.1?

I just found out that one of our 10 3750's has been assigned with an IP Address that is in conflict with a PC that has been in production long before this 3750 was deployed in our environment. Good thing it is servicing devices on a separate vlan. The conflict IP Address is assigned to the default vlan of the switch so we can connect to it from the core.If I change the IP Address of the switch, will it reboot and momentarily disconnect the devices connected to it?

We have ciscoworks LMS 3.2 and I need to update the definition/device support for these switches. We are conducting a network refresh and are having some issues with ciscoworks polling these devices correctly.
I have looked through the various user guides and searched on google with not much luck as to how to actually do this, the links I have found breifly go into it, but not indepth, and the cisco links I have found, of course have redirects to new pages which bear to resemblance to what is in the original document. Is there a clear guide out there on how to update the switch definiton in ciscoworks? So I can i can try and do this correctly?

When i connect to switch router 3945 and switch 3750, router 2911 on Cisco view then I receive "cannot find applicable device package for 10.1.241.10". Need to reinstall device package. The version of Cisco work LMS is 3.2. I check Active log and receive message .

3750 can not support multiple subnets in it's DHCP server pool config.
Is this an issue that can be fixed with a different iOS or is there a different Cisco switch that I can replace the 3750 with that will handle multiple subnets within an individual pool?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am currently a student in a computer repair class and have recieved an assignment for troubleshooting a network through a Sprint overdrive device. The current setup in the room (which worked with a previous device but not the same model) is the internet going into the server VIA ethernet port and sent back out through the server into a switch. From there it connects to another switch that connects roughly 10 computers. The overdrive device is a WiFi hotspot device and the director of the network wants me to make the network with the ability of connecting to the internet through the Device. We have placed a Wireless USB device on the server to recieve the signal from the Overdrive device. The server can connect to the internet. When we try to send the signal out from the server we get a IP conflict. I have tried switching the IP's and still do not get it to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a WCS that I use to manage 8 controllers (2 WiSM's totaling 4 controllers, and 4 more controllers at remote locations). All controllers connect to 3750 switches. The layer three interfaces for all V LAN's that are related to the wireless network are created on these switches. Each layer three interface has a helper address that points the devices in the sub net to the correct DHCP server.
When a wireless device requests a DHCP request I believe it gets to that server based on the relay from the layer three interface on the 3750. However, I know that the virtual interface on the controller is also requesting an address because my firewall is flooded with deny statements. The virtual interface is configured for 1.1.1.1 and so it gets blocked. I am starting to question the use of this interface considering the fact that it is getting blocked and the clients are still getting address.
Are both interfaces trying to act as DHCP relays? Could I setup the controllers to be the only relay (without using the virtual interface)?

This is working well except for the fact that if a target device is in ROMMON mode, the console server refuses to displays the target device console. It does open the connection but the ROMMON prompt is not shown on the console server . This is essential for this device as we will need to use it to reset passwords remotely and thus need to be able to access ROMMON mode from the console server.
Parts used are a 2951 router and a HWIC-8A serial card. Posted my config below:

I have a customer who used to own a 3750 with a older version of IOS. The switch he had used a three year old version of IOS which allowed him to browse to the switch IP and manage it via HTTP without entering a password at all. Now that he has a replacement switch with a new ver of IOS (since the previous switch died). We slapped the config on from the old switch but no matter what we do (understanding that new http aaa authentication commands were added) we cant get this thing to let him in without prompting him for a password. I understand this was an insecure config to begin with so I shouldn't be advocating using it in the first place, but this is what the customer wants.Basically what I'm trying to figure out is are we banging our heads into the wall for nothing as the "ip http server" will not allow an authentication method of "none" anyway? None of the offical documentation I have read for the http aaa authentication cmds shows this as an example nor have I found any blog posts on how to do it ether. Perhaps Cisco removed this by design.
