First off - what does the Cleaning utility do?
Second - I have obtained the two following files:
ACS-4.2.0.124.17-SW
ACS-4.2.0.124.16-Clean
Can these both be used to correct a problem we have with our current installation?
I have done a ADSSO config. Following all the steps in the guide with the specifics steps for windows 7 to modify the krb.txt and the strattomcat.I restart services activate the "Enable Agent-Based Windows Single Sign-On with Active Directory (Kerberos)" option on the NAM.Then, the ADSSO service start on the NAS.I modify the local policy according to the guide allowing all encryption except the one for future use.Then the NAC client say "User unknown" contact your network administrator.

When my client wants to download the software by clicking on “download Clean Access Agent 4.8.2” button this error appears “Failed to download (states=-2)”. I guess I should upload the software first but I don’t know how or where it is?
I need to patch our ACS server to 4.2.0.124.17 from 4.2.0.124.6. My question is, do I need to apply the same patch to our remote agents? Cisco's documentation only states that both the ACS and the Remote Agents need to be 4.2.0.

I am trying to apply pach 5 to my ACS version 5.3 using FTP but i receive the following errors after issuing the show backup history command. When i use TFTP, i get a message saying that the file is too big, which i understand 164 MB.

i'm using ACS 5.3.0.40.2 and its setup with an AD External Identity store for wireless PEAP MSCHAPv2. AD is configured with Alternate UPN suffixes so that for example: 22056 Subject not found in the applicable identity store(s). ##

A valid AD user can add either the @mydomain.com or the @another.com suffixes to their username and login successfully. This works fine with 5.3.0.40.2 but changes when I upgrade to 5.3.0.40.5 - users who use the @mydomain.com login ok but users using the Alternate UPN @another.com fail with the error: [code]
I have an issue with applying a patch to an ACS 1121 appliance running version 5.2.0.26. I have 5 units that needed updating and the first one is the unit with the problem. The subsequent ones updated with no issues.
When I do a show version the 5.2.0.26.10 does not show. When I try to do a reinstall I get back patch all ready exists. When I try to do an uninstall I get back patch does not exist.
Is there a command can wipe out patch 10, so I can start over? The CLI factory-reset only wipes the web configuration not the running-config or IOS.
I'm trying to upload the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg patch to our ACS and so far have been unsucessfull. I keep getting the "please verify the patch bundle is valid".
When I download the 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg file, for some reason the download always comes down from Cisco as 5-2-0-26-4.tar.tar. I've renambed the file to 5-2-0-26-4.tar.gpg and verified the MD5.
I've got 2 freshly installed ACS 4.2 for Windows servers and I need to apply the latest patch rollup before I build the configurations. I stopped the ACS services and ran Acs-4.2.0.124.15-SW.exe to install the patches. The application begins running fine but fails on upgrading the database and then none of the ACS services would start. I was able to restore the files from the backup that runs with the patch utility and get ACS functioning again. What am I missing - does the patch rollup require any specific Microsoft Patches to be installed or something like that?

About to apply a patch for the first time on the ACS 5.3 tonight. Ihave tftp'd it onto a directory i have created on the server. However my support hints i may havre to rename the file ? copy the latest patch file you got from Cisco – you may need to rename as gpg) Current filename is 5-3-0-40-7.tar.tar
So would i need to rename this as 5-3-0-40-7.tar.gpz . If so i will rename it on my pc and redownload it on tftp
After we have installed patch 5 on several ACS 5.2 server they aren't able anymore to write their backups to the sftp servers. I tried to search on the bug tool kit, but it seems to be broken when searching for the keyword "sftp". Just upgraded our WCS server to the 7.x code over the weekend. Turned up the first 3500 series AP's today. The AP's have been up for about an hour. I am seeing the Air Quality graphs on WCS. On the Worst 802.11a/n and 802.11b/g/n Interferers windows, I am see a WCS System Error Page message but only in those windows. I have gone over the documentation and dont see that I need to enable anything else on WCS.
View 10 Replies View RelatedFor a Campus setup (University), if I deploy 1142 AP's on all the floors with a WLC controlling them, and put one 3500 AP on each floor, will that give sufficient Clean Air support with automatic Rogue elimination? What about if an AP drops, does the WLC automatically try to cover that area with neighboring AP's? I know the old WLSE would be able to do that, but not sure if the WLC can do that by itself. What part of Self Healing can the WLC do with Clean Air, or is a WCS a must have in order to automatically Defend and self heal? Also is the MSE needed for this if a WCS is used? What does the MSE do that the WLC and WCS can't?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the past both of my Dell Laptops running Windows 7 via a router and belonging to HOMEGROUP, have been able to share files back and forth - with the ability to read/write. All of a sudden, one of the laptops (call it #1) was not able to find the shared files of the other laptop (call it #2.) However it worked the other way (#2 could find #1). I did all kinds of research, checked they both still belonged to the Homegroup, sharing was "on", discover network was "on", permissions were "full", etc.
I couldn't get anything to work - when I saw a suggestion that I sign off the Homegroup on both computers, set up a new Homegroup, and try again. I did this and still didn't have any luck - then decided to reboot both laptops.now I have sharing between both computers. BUT - on Computer #1 - the shared folders are like doubled. I have 4 libraries that are shared - Documents, Music, Video, Pictures, and the listed are all the 6 folders that I made sure were set to sharing - but Documents, Pictures, Music, are duplicates of the "library". I'm afraid to change any settings for fear that I'll lose what I finally gained. So my questions is - how can I clean this up so libraries and individual folders are not both shown?
Is there a way to wipe a 515e clean and get ride of the Failover Only license and just have a basic licesne loaded? I got this off of ebay and I guess I missed where it said Failover Only, and I would really like to use it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have NAC 4.0.5 and windows active directory domain the clients log on to the client to access the network with their domain credentials and they used to get the "Certificate is issued from an untrusted." until I installed the url.. certificate to the local certificate store.
I seem to have done something on the NAC manager that messed up something, cause now the client considers the certificate issued from a trusted source, BUT a warning stating that the name on the certificate does not match the name.
I have a dual 5508 controller /NCS deployment. I deployed my first clean air AP today, a 3502I.
The Clean Air feature does not seem to work, however. "No information is available because CleanAir is disabled or otherwise not available for this radio. If no information is available and CleanAir is enabled then you can try rebooting the AP XXXX".The thing is that CleanAir is enabled on this AP.
getting the iPad to work with Clean Access? Currently running v4.7.2 NAC.

I had to do a clean install of the laptop. Until then good connection no problems BUT since the clean install I am experinecing intermitant problems Wifi connecting to the router. The wireless finds the router without fail but won't always connect. When is doesn't, a reboot makes no difference but power cycling the router always works. After hours of strong connectivity the connection drops out unpredicatbly.
I have tried updateing the driver for the wifi NIC and the Proset software direct from intel which seems to make no difference.
