Cisco :: SNMP OID For Monitoring CPU On Aironet 1252
Jan 27, 2013
I am trying to poll the 5 minute average CPU utilization of my Cisco Aironet 1252 (IOS version 12.4(25d)JA) using SNMP OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0.However for some reason I am not getting any response back from the aironet. Note I am able to retrive the memory utilization without a problem.
Okay, I'm working on a project and the company I work for wants to add 5 Ghz antenna's to their Aironet 1252's. Okay not a problem, except I've never worked with these routers before and I can't get the configuration set (). Once I get 'em on one I can get them all done.
I have two cisco airenet 1252 autonamous access point that are configured as point to point bridge. Now I want to confiure AES encryption or WPA2 using a pre-shared key however I do not see the option to do this . The only option I see under ciphers are:
wep 128 wep 40 TKIP
[Code].....
Is it possible to use either AES or WPA2 using a pre-shared key on the 1252 autonamous access point? preferably using the web interface.
I have two Cisco Aironet 1252 that I want to configure as a point-2-point bridge. Now I want to know if this configuration supports the 802.11n protocol.
an Aironet 1252 which is failing on boot. When power on the access-point shows the error below.
WARNING: A memory error occurred during the system start-up self-test. The device must be serviced if the error persists.
The following commands can, optionally, be used to initialize the flash file system and the TFTP file transfer system:
But when this happen, I can start the IOS manually doing flash_init and boot in ROMMON. After do this commands, the access-point starts and works normally.
How can I check and correct the memory and solve this issue?
I am using two Cisco Aironet 1252 (cisco AIR-AP1252AG-A-K9) to setup a point to point link (one is configured as root bridge and is as a non-root bridge). Both Aironets are running software version Version 12.4(25d)JA.
Is there a way that I can that I can perform an antenna alignment test on the Aironet that is configured as a non-root bridge?executing the following command dot11 dot11radio 0 ? does not show the antenna-alignemnet option.
We currently have a few 5505s installed at client sites which are connected via s2s ipsec VPN to our datacenter's 5510. We are using Nagios to monitor the local data center and remote client infrastructure (over the VPNs) which has been working well.
We would like to also monitor the remote 5505s using SNMP over the s2s tunnels but it doesn't seem to be working, the connection is timing out. We've configured the remote 5505s with the same snmp statement we used on the 5510 (snmp-server host inside <remote datacenter IP> poll community ***** version 2c) yet the Nagios SNMP check cannot connect to the remote 5505s. We've also tried the command using 'outside' without any luck, not sure how to get SNMP to route over the VPN.
how snmp monitoring works when we have WLC in the networking. Before the WLC 5508 instalation, we had the Nagios monitoring each Access Point in the networking. Today, the Nagios still monitoring the networking, but the Nagios cannot get the same information of the APs (CPU, status interface, memory, etc). Now, the WLC controls each AP, the IP address, netmask, community (of all AP) are the same before the WLC instalation. I have tried to configure the SNMP information in Management>>SNMP>>Communities, but these configuration are from WLC and not from each AP.
How can I configure the SNMP setting in my AP to still use the Nagios to monitoring the networking?
I have 5 installations of ACS appliances (ACS 1121 running ACS 5.3). Is there a way to monitor them via SNMP? The AD client keeps dying on one of them, and even with the newest patch it's not up. Also, i want to monitor them up/down, CPU, memory... basic network monitoring to make sure my devices are healthy.
Any one know if that can be configured? I figured i'd ask here before opening a TAC.
I am building a few 3750 stacks, I want to be able to poll/monitor each individual switch in the stack but as it only has 1 ip associated with the stack how can I do this. I am polling the uplink interfaces but as I only have uplinks on the top and bottom switch I am blind to a switch going down in the middle of the stack.
I'm a C# programmer and as part of my software I need to monitor some Cisco Catalyst 3560V2 24 switches using SNMP (By reading MIB/S data).Apparently this switch supports more than 50 different MIBs.My question is which MIB/MIBS contains general health data (parameters) that may determine if the switch is OK, Degraded or Malfunctioned.
I am trying to monitor my ASA 5505. This asa is connect via a ip-sec tunnel to our network. I have no problems with snmp monitoring devices behind the ASA, but when trying to monitor the asa itself I do not get a SNMP response.
I was positively surprised to find the optical transmit/receive values using the show fiber-ports optical-transceiver detailed command on a SG300-10.
Now I'm wondering if there is also a SNMP-MIB to query these values? I've already tried the CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB used by the larger devices running Cisco IOS, but this didn't work.
I'm running 12.2(33)SXJ1 on a 6500 with several IPv6 BGP peers. Is there any way to monitor the BGP status of IPv6 peers? I've been through the BGP4 mib and cant seem find a way to check the status of IPv6 peers.
We have C7206VXR NPE-G2 platform with transceiver which support DOM.Could we monitor DOM tx/rx level statistic through snmp for 7206 platform? In CLI result of command "sh interf GigabitEthernet0/1 transceiver" give some information. We tried search for some MIB In "MIB locator" on cisco.com.
I am using ASA 5510 Firewall and i have established VPN tunnels too , now i want to Monitor the bandwidth utilization , i have installed PRTG Monitor application and want to add the firewall , how to enable the SNMP in ASA .
I'm currently implementing Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager, the curent stage of the project is to add the network devices to SCOM via SNMP in order to monitor them, I am able to add them all and monitor; however, my ASA 5510, although SCOM discovers the ASA via SNMP and adds it to the network monitoring list, it loses SNMP connectivy every 30 minutes, and 15 later it reconnect with SCOM, then after another 15 minutes it loses the connection again, and so on and so for.
I have 2 cisco Aironet 1252 setup as a point to point link using an external antenna (one radio is setup as the root bridge the other is setup as the non-root bridge). Now I see that the connection between the radios is established at a speed of 54 Mbps. However when I perform a speedtest on the link I see that the my actual download speed does not exceed the 2,5 Mbps. what can cause my actual speed to be far lower than the 54 Mbps? And what can I do to improve it?
I need to configure SNMP on our company Aironet 1130. I am told there is a tool we can use that will allow us do the configuration from a PC vs connecting directly to the device.. If that is true, where can I download it?
We successfully use this oid on our Aironet 1240 series AP's to list the dot11 associations to the AP:1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.273.1.2.1.1.18 (cDot11ClientSubIfIndex).However, that oid does not work on our Aironet 1140 series AP's. Any equivalent oid?
I'm having an issue with a 1252 LAP that is connected to the WLC over a WAN link.Basically, it won't associate. The following is taken from a console into the LAP:
*Mar 1 00:00:07.799: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface GigabitEthernet0, changed state to up *Mar 1 00:00:08.799: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0, changed state to up *Mar 1 00:00:26.851: %LWAPP-5-CHANGED: LWAPP changed state to DISCOVERY *Mar 1 00:00:27.003: Logging LWAPP message to 255.255.255.255.
[code].....
The ap-manager interface is configured correctly and there isn't a duplicate IP address. The LAP was initially stand alone and was converted to LWAPP.The MTU over the WAN link is 1500 bytes. All I'm getting from the WLC debugs is:
Mon Jul 20 11:42:59 2009: 00:22:xx:xx:xx:xx Received LWAPP DISCOVERY REQUEST from AP 00:22:xx:xx:xx:xx to 00:19:xx:xx:xx:xx on port '29' Mon Jul 20 11:42:59 2009: 00:22:xx:xx:xx:xx LWAPP Discovery Request AP Software Version: 0x3003300 Mon Jul 20 11:42:59 2009: 00:22:xx:xx:xx:xx Successful transmission of LWAPP Discovery Response to AP 00:22:xx:xx:xx:xx on port 29
So basically the join messages don't seem to reach the WLC. In fact they don't even seem to reach the local router on the remote subnet. The discovery packets are seen on the local router but the joins don't seem to appear at all.I'm not sure if it's a latency issue. Average latency over the WAN link is under 70ms.I'm assuming the certificate on the WAP is MIC and the MAC details have been entered into the WLC AP Security policies for authentication. I'm not seeing any debugging messages relating to bad authentication at all.I can't debug from the LAP as it's LWAPP, obviously. We're running WLC version 4.2.130.0.
it is possible to wide the range of powerconsumtion on this switch from 15.4W up to 20W? We will rollout some accesspoints with 2 radiomodules on CISCO AP1252, but the Powerconsumtion of this AP then ist 18.5W. The max allowed from firmware is 15.4W like 802.11n-standard.
I am replacing an older AP with a new 1252 unit. I attached everything and powered it up, but my DHCP server does not appear to be finding it and assigning an IP address. The status light stays green and the ethernet light blinks randomly green. Seems to be connected fine, but without an IP I cannot configure it to use it.
I have Cisco 1252 APs in my network and also a WLC with software 7.0.98.0 and a WCS system. In certain areas I have an SSID with 2 or more APs configured as part of the group. Some users are connecting to the SSID on the weaker AP when there is a much stronger signal available from a different AP.I have looked into this issue before and have been told it's a porblem with the client's Wireless NIC or the drivers. The issue is I'm using the most updates drivers on some users and it makes no difference. Although it may be a problem with my clients I need to fix this on Cisco's AP side. What are my options? I believe MAC filtering is only per SSID so that would defeat the purpose, can I filter by specific AP and still allow the user to connect to the SSID? Or should I seperate the APs from the 1 SSID and create multiple SSIDs so the user can select the stronger network?
How can i connect my laptop (11n supported) to LAP 1252 with WLC 7.0.116.0?Status: 11a enabled on wlcDCA channel list in 11a on wlc is showing only 149 153 157 161 channels.
I have a lightweight AP that boots into RoMmon, if i hold the reset button in for 10 seconds or so it will boot into the IOS and download the config from the controller but never registers. then once i reboot it it goes back to Romon unless i hold in the button again.
