View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having linking a computer to our SBS server. The computer in question is set in a warehouse on our site. We have a leased internet connection which is used on a number of different offices. The sbs-server has an IP address of 192.168.50.254 with a gateway Ip address of 192.168.50.1. The firewall on this network has an external IP of 10.50.0.37 with a gateway of 10.50.0.254 and this links to the leased line equipment. The external IP address for this network is 62.7.70.237. The PC in the warehouse has an IP address of 192.168.0.2 attached via a router to the leased line. The routers Ip address is 192.168.0.1, the external IP address is 10.50.0.55 and a gateway of 10.50.0.254. This links to the leased line and seems to have an external Ip address of 62.7.70.238. My issue is that I want the PC in the warehouse to be able to connect in some way to the SBS-Server. I cannot seem to access it via the external IP or the gateway (10.50.0.37).

I have had this problem in the past with the other Dell laptop. Both are Windows 7. Tried uninstalling the adapter 4 times now. Changed SSIDs on my network. Added a SSID. Nothing works.
I am able to identify and get online if I put the IP address and DNS server in. Nothing I do lets it use DHCP.

I've used a newly purchased laptop, Acer Aspire 5733Z-4614 to connect to wireless networks before, including the network I'm currently on (/w another laptop), however, recently it has been unable to go through to the internet, but does successfully connect to the network. The encryption seems to be OK, since both laptops are using the same WPA2-Personal AES, and this (currently connected) laptop does just fine. I've read through a few other articles on this site but haven't been able to pinpoint the problem. To my knowledge I have not changed any settings since it has worked correctly.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI was looking at the Cisco SRW2008 since for one, I like Cisco and two, it has WebView which should make it easy for an idiot like me to manage. Here are some of the features I am looking for.
VLAN support
ACLs
NIC Teaming
Gigabit - Up to 16 ports
Easy to Manage
PoE - Not necessary
No more than $500
There will be 2-3 physical servers connected to it, and many VMs in use.
We have a router that was installed a few months ago which has the following version: 15.1(3)T
I am unable to reverse telnet to a new ASA firewall, however when I move the console to a second older router with an older version of code I am able to reverse telnet
Are there any known bugs, issues with version 15.1. I use the following command as normal: telnet x.x.x.x 2001

I'm the administrator of a system composed of seven SGE2010P switches in stack configuration.I developed a script to update the ACL at regular time intervals.
ACLs work well unless one or more switches in the stack is turned off. In this case it would seem that once, which switches off will restart, they do not synchronize ACLs assigned to interfaces.
Currently the only solution I've found to restore functionality, it is cold restart of the entire stack.I was wondering if there is a command to propagate the acl switches that I can recall in the event of a restart of any of these.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm a little confused about doing a translation using static identitiy NAT.I have a prorietary router that I would like to move behind my firewall (ASA 8.2x). Right now it runs in parallel with my router from a DMZ switch. I have change ISPs and the location the connection comes into my building so this confiugration is less than desirable. The vendor requires a static public address. So I am hoping/assuming a regular NAT statement of:
static (Inside,Outside) 72.12.206.211 192.168.1.xx netmask 255.255.255.255 .will work since the routers inside interface connectes to my inside LAN network anyway.
However, if they insist on having a Non-Nat'ed Public IP how do you do that? I have researched Static Identity NAT that shows the following: 72.12. 206. 211 (outside) FW (inside) 72.12.206.211
and they show a static statement of static (Outside,Inside) 72.12.206.211 72.12.206.211 netmask 255.255.255.255.How do you set up the nat statements for this configuration? Do you assigne the "external" IP address to the router even though it is behind the firewall (which is what I am asuming).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my home network to include a new DOCIS 3 cable modem (SB 6121), RV 180 router, and a wireless access point. I have about 7 computers/devices on the network. A computer connected directly to the new modem was pulling down 30MB/sec (various speed tests), but when RV 180 was inserted between modem and network, downloads dropped to 10MB/sec. I worked with tech support (very kind), baselined the router, without improvement, and support conclusion was "hardware issue, need to RMA router".The one thing we failed to configure on the router was the Domain Name (Networking/LAN/IPv4 (local network)/DHCP/Domain Name:). Once I entered the domain name that actually matched the Workgroup / Domain name of the computers on the network, downloads and speed tests jumped to 30MB/sec consistently, and web browsing performance significantly improved.

Endpoint Independent
Address Restricted
Port and Address Restricted
What are these options? I downloaded the manual for the router but it doesn't mention what NAT, Endpoint Independent, Address Restricted, and Port and Address Restricted are.
