I just bought a WAP321 Wireless AP. I wonder why it cannot sync with our time server automatically. Every time I reboot it, the system time become "Fri Dec 31 1999 12:00:00 UCT". I have to do the sync manually by clicking on the "Save" button under the menu Administration > Time Setting.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've tried to upgrade IOS on C1841 router (Cisco IOS Software, 1841 Software (C1841-IPBASE-M), Version 12.4(15)T7, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3); System image file is "flash:c1841-ipbase-mz.124-15.T7.bin". using CCP2.5 and couldn't do it as CCP was coming with errors for any IOS. I can't install the latest 15.1 or 15.2 as there is not enough space on flash, it has 192M/64M. So I tried 12.4(24)T8 such as c1841-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T8.bin; c1841-advsecurityk9-mz.124-24.T8.bin; c1841-adventerprisek9-mz.124-24.T8.bin but CCP was showing loading errors.So I copied c1841-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T8.bin software to flash manually and reloaded the router, now it shows this IOS, but when I start CCP it shows these errors:
-License feature cannot be discovered. This and associated features may not function correctly.
-Static Route feature cannot be discovered. This and associated features may not function correctly.
-Switch Port feature cannot be discovered. This and associated features may not function correctly.
I'm not sure now if that new IOS installed correctly or there is a bug in CCP.I suppose that CCP shouln't show any errors regarding IOS upgrade and after that.Is there a matrix or some kind of pattern for that router IOS upgrade?Should I use a series of upgrades and I can't jump to any IOS?

We have ASA running code 8.0.4 with Active/Standby for quite long time. Today when we gave the command wri standby it started sync the config to standby ASA but waited forever.when we checked the show failover, we got the following result.

I see here the standby ASA IPS module is down, but can that issue cause not sync the config backup and writing to nvram (save config)..?
We have two 3560G-TS-E running 12.2(35)se2, configured as HSRP. Both are running ntp config "ntp peer 210.72.145.44" and it's pretty well that they get the correct time. Yesterday I upgraded the second device to IOS 12.2(58)se2 and ntp doesn't work now. I checked doc that 12.2(58)se2 runs ntp default version 4 so I change to "ntp peer 210.72.145.44 version 3" but still not work. I put here "show ntp" result for different IOS.

When i have configured the 4507R switch but the configure is not sync with the standby module..... I have doing some troubleshooting
1. type the command "show redundancy" no standby module is showing
2. type the command " redundancy force-switchover" showing the message " no standby module is present"
3. type the command "hw-module module 2 reset" then the standby module is reset and status light is blinking like it is booting..
Two 5548 switches running switch profile and it got out of sync (probably because one of the switches lost power before it has chance to save configure). Once the switch profile out of sync, you can't make any change to the switch profile any more, verification will fail.Is there any good way to get the switch profile re-sync without recreating it?

I have to add access list to both switches not in config sync mode.
I am looking to replace the active supervisor (S720-10G) on our 6509E running in SSO mode. The new module already has the same IOs version as the standby supervisor.Once I have swapped the module how do I know that the config has sync'd correctly other than checking the logs? Is it a case of looking at the "Redundancy Mode (Operational)" state and ensuring is says SSO?Also, is there a command that will force a config-sync if it is running in a mode other than SSO?

[code] So can we put some ports on different switches in, let`s say vlan 50, with different ips? For example, Port 0/3 on Switch 1 and 0/8 on Switch 2, but keeping the ip of the "old" vlan? Or is it necessary to configure a specified vlan interface with ip-adress for every vlan if i want to route it?

No response on console but the led lights seems to be normal.I tried removing the CF then turn it on again to see if the router will go to rommon but didn't happen. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have C1841 as EZVPN server and remote C1841 as EZVPN client. Connection between them is providers L3 VPN, so it is not over the internet. IPSec tunnels go up with no problem. Client is NEM. Problem is that traffic won't go via IPSec. No packets are encapsulated. I want all trafiic to go via tunnel, no split tunneling here. On client side Dialer0 is outside interface, since L3 VPN is over ADSL. On server's side I have only one interface connected to corporate network. Peer address is server's loopback address.
After IPSec is up, server gets remote subnets as static routes and redistribute them to OSPF. That part works fine, but remote site's traffic doesn't flow over IPSec to the coorporate LAN.
Could be TCP MSS or something like that?

I have a cisco 1841 router and a cisco 2900xl switch. I am trying to get my ACL's to work, but when ever I do an extened acl and let certain one in (80,443,21,etc) my computer gets an internet error saying it cannot conntact the dns server. I've tried severl ways to fix it, but cannot seem to get it to work.
Right now i just have access-list 1 on. Eventually I would like to have only "Apple" and 101 on.

This appears to be a different issue than the one described in the sticky above. I have two DAP-1533's. Both are running firmware 1.02 from the Taiwan website. I am running both in Bridge mode at 5 GHz only. They both exhibit the same problem. If you go to "Maintanence > Time and enable NTP it never updates to the correct time. Also, after "saving" the time gets set to the same time as shown grayed out in the "Set the time manually" window. I am using this time server: ntp1.dlink.com and tried others and have tried time server ip address in case it was a DNS issue. Also, why is there no DAP-1533 section on the forum?

I'm using a Linksys E4200 as my slave router connected to the Time Capsule via lan to lan. I noticed the TC Internet Connection TCP/IP via DHCP shows a Subnet Mask of 255.255.248.0 and the Surewest IP of 74.222.246.23
Is the 248 setting one I will need on the slave?
The TC IP Address is 10.0.1.1 the DHCP Beginning Address is 10.0.1.3 to allow for the slave to have 10.0.1.2.
The E4200 is set as follows on the routers setup page, Internet Section to Automatic DHCP, Network Section to IP 10.0.1.2 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 and DHCP is Disabled.
Both routers have a SSID set to the same name.
Are all these settings correct? I've noticed that a device iPhone or iPad etc has a different IP address assigned by the TC depending on which router it is actually connected. I've also noticed difficulty of a device on one router communicating with one on the other.

How can I measure a respond time from a switchport to another? What I intend to do is to measure packets transmission from a server. I have a Cisco 3750G in stack, and the server is connecting to it with a 1GE NIC. How do I measure from Cisco prospective? Any tools available from Cisco to measure such respond time? I have a PRTG on bandwidth management on this particular server switchport and it is around 45-70Mbps, which is less than 10% of 1GE interface.

Once deployed there will be a requirement for these physical trunks to be disconnected from time to time. Knowing that this is inevitable I am trying to minimise the period of time for the trunks to recover once the physical connectivity is reinstated.
All of the VLANs on the switches are configured for Spanning Tree Rapid PVST. Current time for the trunks/VLANs to come up is around the 4 second mark.
I've just plugged in 4 Nexus5548 switches and ran through the initial setup without any issues. However, the fans seem to be stuck on full speed. At the moment they're the loudest thing in the server room.

I need to enable/disable a mac access-list on a 2960 scheduled by time. The switch has lanbasek9-mz.122-44.SE6. As the mac access-list can not support time ranges, I tried EEM but seems like it is not supported in this device.
