This appears to be a different issue than the one described in the sticky above. I have two DAP-1533's. Both are running firmware 1.02 from the Taiwan website. I am running both in Bridge mode at 5 GHz only. They both exhibit the same problem. If you go to "Maintanence > Time and enable NTP it never updates to the correct time. Also, after "saving" the time gets set to the same time as shown grayed out in the "Set the time manually" window. I am using this time server: ntp1.dlink.com and tried others and have tried time server ip address in case it was a DNS issue. Also, why is there no DAP-1533 section on the forum?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Time Capsule current generation, as my primary router connected to my ISP. I'm using a Linksys E4200 as my slave router connected to the Time Capsule via lan to lan. I noticed the TC Internet Connection TCP/IP via DHCP shows a Subnet Mask of 255.255.248.0 and the Surewest IP of 74.222.246.23
Is the 248 setting one I will need on the slave?
The TC IP Address is 10.0.1.1 the DHCP Beginning Address is 10.0.1.3 to allow for the slave to have 10.0.1.2.
The E4200 is set as follows on the routers setup page, Internet Section to Automatic DHCP, Network Section to IP 10.0.1.2 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 and DHCP is Disabled.
Both routers have a SSID set to the same name.
Are all these settings correct? I've noticed that a device iPhone or iPad etc has a different IP address assigned by the TC depending on which router it is actually connected. I've also noticed difficulty of a device on one router communicating with one on the other.

I have an ASA 5520 with the Intrusion Prevention Module. The time displayed on the ASA is correct. The time displayed in all Intrusion Prevention gadgets is ahead exactly 4 hours.Under configuration, Time the Time Zone is correct, Eastern in my case. The sensor local time on the same page is correct and is grayed out.I only work in the ASDM as I am far from being a CLI person.I don't think the time being off is causing any issues, but it is strange.

I have an ACL denying traffic to a certain IP range and the logging level set to Debugging. The hit count is rising quite rapidly but when selecting "Show Log" the Real-Time Log Viewer opens with a value of 0x13d0ee2a in the "Filter By" field and no logs are ever shown.
Logging is enabled globally and Logging Filters on ASDM is set to Debugging as well.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been working on my ASA 5510 version 8.2(1) trying to change the maximum connection time. Originally the custom "Group Policy" for IPSEC (Remote Access VPN) was set to inherit the settings from the default system Group Policy (DfltGrpPolicy). The custom group policy for the sake of this discussion is called "ABCD". I have modified the settings on the default (DfltGrpPolicy) as the custom policy (ABCD) was inheriting the configuration from default to disconnect after 1200 minutes. I changed the setting "maximum connection time" to 1200 minutes. I saved the configuration and what not then connected my VPN client, after two (2) hours I was disconnected. Something just doesn't add up.
I went ahead and deselected all inherited properties and manually configured them for the ABCD custom policy. No longer was the ABCD custom policy configured to use the inherited properties/settings. I saved the configuration again tested but instead of having a 1200 minute connection limit, I have 120 minute connection limit. Inside Monitoring --> VPN --> Sesssions : I can click on my session and see Session details". The Group Policy and Connection Profile properly list the "ABCD" custom profile. However, the "Conn Time Out" setting is: 120 minutes. I am completely stumped as to what is going on.
In the actual running config I see:
group-policy abcd attributes
banner none
wins-server value 123.123.123.123
dns-server value 123.123.123.123
dhcp-network-scope none
vpn-access-hours none
vpn-simultaneous-logins 3
vpn-idle-timeout 60
vpn-session-timeout 1200
What I need to do next to get this working short of a recycle of the ASA.
