Linksys RV082 router is configured to establish a single VPN tunnel. Everything works just fine until powerfail occurs, because VPN connection must be then initiated by clicking "connect" via web-interface. Is there a possibility to automate VPN-connection on start-up?

View 1 Replies View RelatedLost my internet connection to my Dell XPS 435t/9000 running Win7 (64) yesterday. Unable to restore. No know configuration changes other than the regular weekly window update. My service provider is Verizon FIOS and all there stuff checks out. My iMAC and Dell Laptop connect fine through the same devices (router/modem/switch).
The xps shows no hardware faults and all the wired connections are intact. Unable to ping router. Network Sharing interface shows good connections to switch and router by a bad connection between router and internet.
Ran WIN7 network troubleshooter and it just told me to contact ISP.Rebooted machine several times but no joy.
I have reset my RV082 router (both wit the reset switch and the factory default wizard) and run the setup wizard but regardless I can't connect to shaw.ca which is my service provider. I notice that if I use http://192.168.1.1 the browsers (IE & FF) default to https://192.168.1.1 and then I am prompted for a certificate. I can enter if I ignore the request but after getting in I simply cannot connect to my ISP.

I would like to establish permanent PPTP VPN tunnel with remote server so all computers in the house can go through tunnel when i browse for Pandora or Netflix for example (is this router capable of routing policy too so not all the traffic would be routed through tunnel?)

It connects fine, and I can ping anything, and I can also access websites with HTTPS, but when trying to access any website with HTTP, it doesn't work.There's no load balancing going on, and it's the same whether we have the Firewall turned on or off, and everything else is pretty much as default.

Static routing: 192.168.1.239 to 172.25.152.64/224
The unit is configured as internet gateway. 4 NAT ports are active. When firewall disabled all works fine. When firewall enabled I do get connection lost at random interval. In firewall only 4 rules added to the default 3 rules. The added rules are:
1/ permit 192.168.1.22 port 25 to any
2/ permit 192.168.1.27 port 25 to any
3/ permit 192.168.1.10 port 25 to any
4/ deny any port 25 to any
I do get at random times connection lost when navigating with windows explorer on a PC with IP 192.168.1.x to a share on a PC with IP 172.25.152.74. The same happens when copying files. Sometimes it works, later it fails or reties are needed. When the firewall is switched off all runs fine.
Ping from 192.168.1.x to 172.25.152.74 allways give a <1ms response
Is there a RV082 perfomance problem or do I have a configuration problem?
I have a RV082 Linksys router and at the moment it is slowing down my internet connection by a significant amount. With the router, I get about 3 Mbps and with a modem directly connected to my computer I get about 24 Mbps. Before with the router I used to get 15 Mbps, which is understandable because it is connected to 4 computers total. Maybe my setup has something to do with it. I got a cable that is connected to a modem, the modem is connected to the router, from which one port is connected to a computer, and another is used to connect to a Netgear switch, which in turn is connected to 3 more computers.
Everything was fine until I went on a trip and wasn't home for about 2 weeks, and when I came back, this happened. I tried restarting the modem, the router and all to no avail. I also tried to do a factory reset on the router and again got slow speeds.
I'm owner of Cisco RV082 router and I have a problem with firewall setup.I would like to deny internet access on port 80 (all sites) for group of users, and allow them internet access for one site by HTTPS (443)After applying rules internet connection is really slow.. Users have to wait something like a 30 sec for a website..I descovered that the reason for slow internet connection is DENY rule. After disbling DENY rule everything works fine..Now I have a few rules added to firewall:

I'm trying to do a restore from one v5.1 box to another. The file is sent via ftp from the configured repository but when the file is sent I get an error saying failed to unpack.
My restore box is running an evaluation version at level 5.1.0.44.3
We have cisco works LMS 3.1 and the server have very problems, we need format the server and reinstall the Cisco Works, when I doin backup and restore of data LMS We lost the licenses? or when we restore the data in the server we have the same licenses? or get the new licenses to cisco?

Well I was able to to reset it all right but I used the erase command which worked a little to well. So now there is no IOS and the router is in ROM mode and I didnt back up the pervious IOS "Nice". So was able to get an updated IOS for my 2600 but I'm trying to install it and don't know how. I was able to get a tftp server app for my windows pc but I'm unsure on how to configure it so I can transfer the new IOS to the router. On the up side I did learn something erasing and reset are to very different things.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been setting up building and testing our new ACS 5.x boxes and I've been running into a spot of bother with the backup restore feature. This most likely due to my unfamiliarity with the tool.
As part of my testing for Backup/Restore, I first backup the data using the Removal and backup tool in Secure ACS View (found under data management. I then confirm that the new FULL backup has been populated my test repository and is available in the restore feature. (also under Data Management) My next step is to create a few test Network Device Groups, Identity groups, and users Then I go back to the restore feature select the Back up file I just created, I also check the box Skip View Database backup before Restore and hit the restore button.
The box goes through the expected steps including a reload. When it comes back up I would expect the test users, groups etc I created after the last backup to be gone as they did not exist at that time. Although I find the opposite is true. Any settings I made after the last backup are still present. I do not have incremental backups enabled.
I essentially want to test a backup of the database of users and groups/rules etc make changes and then restore that database to the previous backed up configuration.
we are trying to restore an ACS SE backup into an ACS Windows but we get the message error: "The backup file selected is either not a Cisco Secure V4.2 backup file or it has been corrupted". The version/patch level is the same in both 4.2(0.124). I think that is possible (restore SE in W2000), isn't it?.

PC should connect to internet through the router, TP-Link TL WR340GD, along with 3 other PCs which are all working fine. Basically, the PC caught a virus and I performed system restore. After that, the PC was working fine, except that there was no internet connection. I tried to reset winsock from command promp, but that did not sort the connection problem.I noticed that the yellow light on the back of the tower, for the ethernet cable connection, is yellow when the cable is not plugged in, however, as soon as I plug the ethernet cable in, the light disappears. The same cable is working fine when connected to other PCs so it does not seem to be the cable problem. The information in Network Connections says Limited or no connectivity. Full messages when prompted says: "You might not be able to access the internet or some network resources. I have the configuration file of the ASA 5505 I have another exactly model that asa is new but this my first time working with an ASA.
I going to configure it an ip address in the 0/0 interface and then use TFTP to upload the config to the start-up config and the save it and reload the ASA.
is that enough? or the ASA has extra steps??
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 as a BOVPN endpoint using certificates. The config is complete and I now need to back it up and restore to a cold standby Cisco ASA 5505 that will sit on the shelf until something goes wrong.
Problem is I cannot restore my certifcates to the standby.
I have tried the backup and restore wizard in ASDM and to be honest it didn't work.
