Cisco Switches :: SF300-24p - How To Restore Password
Nov 17, 2012We have a mitel 3300 PBX that is our DHCP server. It feeds an old Foundry Networks switch that nobody knows the password for anymore so I can't even look in it to get some clues. What I think I know is this.
vlan1 = PC's subnet 10.0.0.X 255.255.255.0
vlan2 = phones subnet 10.1.0.X 255.255.255.0
Phones plug into the switch, PC's plug into the phone.
I am assuming this to be the case becase all the PC's get those numbers and when booting up a phone it comes up and says "vlan2 pri 5" during the DHCP discovery.
Like I said the Mitel 3300 is the DHCP server and our internet access is from the firewall's trusted port.
I have put the switch in L3 mode via the console. No matter what I try, the PC will always get IP addresses in vlan2's subnet. Even if I plug the PC directly into the switch.
I have factory reset this baby and all I have done at this point is put it back in L3 and changed the default ip address so I can get to the web GUI.

Nov 5, 2011I am trying to setup ATT DSL modem through D-Link router Dir-615. I was instructed to use PPPoE and setup username and password in router. When I do, the router does not save my network password, but reverts back to some hidden password. I have tried changing it in Tools, but it keeps reverting. I'm sure this is why I cannot access the internet.

I tried to reset winsock from command promp, but that did not sort the connection problem.I noticed that the yellow light on the back of the tower, for the ethernet cable connection, is yellow when the cable is not plugged in, however, as soon as I plug the ethernet cable in, the light disappears. The same cable is working fine when connected to other PCs so it does not seem to be the cable problem. The information in Network Connections says Limited or no connectivity. Jan 27, 2013Yesterday, I flashed DD-WRT, latest beta version, to my router, an Asus RT-N13U B1. After flashing DD-WRT, I couldn't get the 3G USB modem to work with it, and thus, I decided to flash back the original firmware onto it. I needed to put it into restore mode, but it was just not going into the restore mode. Then I read somewhere that after installing DD-WRT, other people had the same problem. [URL] So I connected to my router via telnet, using PuTTY, and ran the "mtd erase linux" command without the quotes. Even now, it isn't going into restore mode.

Aug 24, 2011I was trying to erase my lab router 2600 and reset it back to the factory defaults. Well I was able to to reset it all right but I used the erase command which worked a little to well. So now there is no IOS and the router is in ROM mode and I didnt back up the pervious IOS "Nice". So was able to get an updated IOS for my 2600 but I'm trying to install it and don't know how. I was able to get a tftp server app for my windows pc but I'm unsure on how to configure it so I can transfer the new IOS to the router.
