I've been searching high and low for a "blank" stencil to fill in module and WIC areas of a 2821 router that I'm diagraming. Where I can get a hold of something that will work? It seems that Cisco is somewhat lax lately on their visio stencil offerings.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Router 2821 with c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T1.bin and with a Cisco Integrated Service Engine(s) Cisco Unity Express 7.1.1 in slot 1 , this router shows a high cpu utilization.I think is a bug with the IOS , because there is no voicemail configured on the CUE, there is no traffic to the CUE , just traffic from:
- voice calls
- ospf
The ospf is not the cause of the high cpu , because the high cpu utilization appears before I put the ospf proccess on the router.
while upgrade NME-NAM module IOS on 2821, as a result of sudden disorder in power system nam helper image crashed and it seems
i have to fix this !
(as you may know without helper image you cant load IOS image of NAM so it doesn't work !!) on the other hand in Cisco documents it's mentioned besides upgrading NAM IOS we can upgrade helper image too. but i couldn't found in Cisco downloads the appropriate link to download either older version or latest version of , Nam helper image. (even with CCO Account)
in addition i have a brand new NAM Module that contains NAM Helper Image but I couldnt find a way to tranfer this image via ftp to ftp server
Im notice after configure the trend micro url filtering on a Cisco 2821 high latency on Http navigation, the latency on the ping for the requests shows a 245ms latency, but if i disable this feature on the router, returns to normal navigation and decrease the latency up to 70ms.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe've got Cisco 2821 for our 90mb/s Internet Access. Its CPU usage is around 80%. Show process cpu does not show any cpu proccess with high utilization. But we have got plenty of policing configured for our clients using policy maps. Can this policing affect cpu usage?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue pinpointing why my 2821 router is discarding so many packets when transferring data to our second site. The traffic flows from the local lan, to the router, where it is redirected via WCCP to a WAN optimization device, back to the router and over a GRE tunnel to the second site where the same process happens. The traffic does get there, but the LAN/Repeater router interfaces have around 20,000-60,000 input drops an hour. From the output below, it looks like traffic is being dropped by the RP.
I just restarted the router as a last resort, and here is what has accumulated in the last 30 min:

I would like to know if there is a way I can use an XML file to pre-fill the connect field of the Anyconnect client version 3.0. In the past, I have been able to use an XML file to pre-fill information in the NAC agent so I could push it out to clients who didn't have administrator rights to their box. I was wondering if there is a similar method to do this with the Anyconnect client.

(domain1, domain2, domain3) We currently have to specify which domain each user belongs to (ie, domain1user) in order to connect. We would like to only have to enter the user name without the prefix, (ie, user1) and have ACS automatically check each domain for a match. Is this possible with ACS 5.2? I seem to remember this was possible with ACS 4.2.

I have an application for work that I need to access true vpn connection :I have Sbs server 2008 with vpn support , I can access my folders and exchange and ... , this works fine.Now I have an application that search to connect to the server via local ip at work but when I use vpn to access it then the application goes searching on my local ip adress and not on the vpn ip adress.vpn has same ip as local ip at work).Now my question is: Can I set the application to search on the range of my vpn connection instead of searching on my local ip when i am not at work but on a different site ?I tryed almost anything but the application still looks directly on my local ip instead of the ip of my vpn

On the dashboard of our asa 5510 the "outside interface" traffic usage is running constantly high. It's at the top of the graph. How can I tell what is causing the spike in utilization. It usually runs at about 1500-2000 Kbps, and now it's up over 10,000.

For some reason, I'm now getting a blank page after entering my credentials. The URL is like [URL] I already rebooted the system, but that made no difference. 1) The router which is currently getting all the traffic gets to 55% to 60% of CPU usage when handling 40 SIP/RTP streams . This equals 10Mbit up/10Mbit down and it showed around 5800 packets TX and around 5800 packets RX, with a majority of them CEF switched. As those figures are way less than the performance figures published by Cisco, we wonder if we made any mistake in setting up our router, or if we can do something to improve the router setup.
2) Does it have an impact on router performance if we increase/decrease RTP packet size, thus increasing or decreasing the pps relative to the consumed bandwidth?
3) If it is not possible to improve router configuration, we also wonder about possible replacement units for those routers. Would a 2901 do a good job? By how much would it rise the capacity? What other models would you recommend if we plan to rise the number of concurrent calls by a factor of 4 or even 8 times of what we have now (so up to 48000 pps and 80Mbit).
Here is what we tried:
- ip route-cache same-interface does not seem to improve anything
- ip flow ingress on or off makes no difference
- disabling the inbound ACL on fa0/0 seems to reduce load by 10%, although I don't understand why - a very high percentage is CPU interrupts, and ACLs are process switched, or not?
- we tried following the Cisco guide for high CPU due to high interrupts, with no success
Here are some usage statistics:
The graphs that we plot via SNMP show a propotional growth/increase of CPU and bandwidth (and thus pps) At the highest loads, we had a bit more than 55% CPU utilization with more than 50% interrupt CPU.

tftpdnld image -> asa5505 boots on tftp file in en mode, i try to copy command but this fails, always getting No such device error. I have tried all different solutions found on google for this step, but it simply does not work, as i am never able to ping anything from the ASA.

Apparently it dont work with Eth, nor with vlan 1. Any way to shut down all functions in router so i can access everything?
When I log into my router I can see the navigation tree on the left, but the rest of the screen is blank. I was at one time able to see the info on my Windows 7 computer and not my Vista, but now all my computers are blank.

I am wondering however, why those E-Mails are blank, meaning, I only receive header information (to, from, date, subject) but no body content. View 1 Replies View RelatedI was setting a static IPs for my PCs, and for the Preferred and Alternate DNS Server addresses I looked on my router's Device Information page. It had "Primary DNS Server: 121.98.0.1", but "Secondary DNS Server:" is reported as "0.0.0.0". Router is a DIR-655:
I looked on my ISP's website and they have "121.98.0.2" listed as the Secondary Name Server/DNS:
Why does the router not report that? Is there something wrong? Should I still set 121.98.0.2 as the Alternate DNS Server in Windows?
EDIT: BTW, my modem reports both primary and secondary DNS servers on it's info page.
I'm running a new RV042 with the latest firmware (4.1.1.01). I set it up about 2 weeks ago and have been running it without an issue. Today I tried to go in to the web utility to make some changes. I was prompted for the userid/password, which it appeared to accept (if I typed in the wrong ones it rejected it), and then the screen went blank (normally I would get the status screen now.) Instead the screen I get is the light blue of the log-in screen, but there is nothing on it. The router has switched to the page https://192.168.1.1/home.htm I have tried different browsers and accessing it from different computers - the situation is always the same. I have power cycled the router, and there is no change. I suspect the next step is a manual reset to factory defaults - but of course I would rather not (as I didn't save all my settings of course!)
