Cisco WAN :: 3945 ISR Not Recognizing WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 Cards
Jul 18, 2011
Was wanting to know if these cards are compatable with the new 3945 ISRs or if their is a unique command that has to be run to recognize these. why I'm using these large routers with a T-1. Its too long of a story.
My 2691 Router has already 2 serial cards WIC-1DSU-T1 installed, When i install the 3rd serial card and reboot the router, it detects the 3rd card installed but 3rd card has no light.
When i do sh ver it shows 3 cards installed.
When i install this 3rd serial card to other Router then light shows on card and it works fine
So i am thinking if 2691 Router only supports 2 serial cards?
I just got my first 3945 router and E3/T3 Network cards and when I do a sho ver I can see the E3/T3 card but when I do a show run all I see are the 3 GE interfaces.
I walked in to the room and my 1 year old daughter was carrying my laptop. I turned it on and now I no longer have the option to connect to wireless networks. It's like the computer doesn't recognize a wireless card. I have an old dell with windows xp. At first thought I figured that she may had dropped it and dislodged the card, so I took the cover of the slot off and everything seems to be in place. The wireless card is a broadcom.
Today I got a pack of 7 Cisco T1 DSU/CSU WAN Interface Card (WIC-1DSU-T1-V2). I installed 6 of them (4 on a 2811 router and 2 on an 1841 router) and none of them would light up, show up in show controllers, or show up in show ip interface brief. Is there something I have to do aside from just inserting them in like getting software or entering in certain commands? (I installed the cards while the routers were powered off).
I have a remote site that still utilizes a single T1 connection to me. For multiple reasons we had to scrap the old T1 and have a new one put in. The old T1 resided on a T3 as channel 25. The new T1 is a standlone point to point. I removed the old config from my 7301 and programmed my 3725. I cannot figure out what is going on but the interface stays down/down. There is no loopback turned on, either manually or by the carrier. The AL LED stays amber regardless of whether or not I have a cable patched down. The CD LED remains green when I patch a cable down. LP is not light.I am using a straight through Ethernet cable to connect my 3725 to the smart jack. If you look at the show output below you will see DCD and CTS is down. Since the remote end was working and I just had the tech move the patch cable from one smart jack to another I am assuming the problem is on my side or with the carrierI already tried changing the clock sourced between internal and line. I also swapped out the WIC card for another one. I don't usually program T1 connections. [code]
I just bought two 1760's off eBay to create a home lab. I would like to connect them together but am not sure how. Instead of Wic T1 cards that connect with a serial cable, they are using a WIC-1DSU-T1 cards that have ethernet ports.
I haven't been able to find out much about these except that they connect with something called a T Crossover cable. I assume this is just an ethernet cable with the pins connected in a certain way but am not sure. Are these the same as a standard cross over ethernet cable or something else?
I recently installed a WIC 1DSU-T1-V2 card into a 1841 router to add to a multilink bundle. I inserted it in Slot 1 and powered up the router and there was a new serial interface showing in the config automatically as s0/1/0. I was able to get it setup with ppp multilink and added to the multilink group. The problem is I need to do a sh controller or sh service-module to see if there are errors happening (I'm using this card as a replacement for an interface that was giving errors with this line before). I can do a sh s0/1/0 and that works but I can't see deeper. I found it odd that the serial port just appeared in the config when I booted without having to do anything, if this is correct behavior and how I see the Controller or CSU info for troubleshooting?
We are currently moving from 1841 (EOL) to 1921/1941 routers. According to the module support doc [URL] this HWIC-1DSU-56K4 card is supported. We have tried both the 1921 and 1941 with the cards without any luck.

I have a 3825 router running 12.4t IOS. I installed DSU/CSU part number HWIC-1DSU-T1 in the router and it does not recognize it. Is this the right card for this router? Is there anything I can look at to determine the issue? I think the router only has 32M RAM. Below is a show hardware. Card is still currently installed.
We have recently bough a couple of the new C3560CG-8PC-S switches, but they are not being recognized by the LMS 3.2;Is there any patch or device firmware I can update on the LMS to have support of that switch on the LMS 3.2 ?
When I plug in my Belkin my Netbios over TCP/IP is enabled, however is disabled when the router is connected. I cannot gain access to internet through Belkin G router, but can through my ISP router. I've tried IP/Config/all, (Nothing). The problem started when I changed something in Firefox (About:Config) attempting to change URL Search engine from Yahoo to Google, and that's when the problems started. Now my (Desktop) Computer doesn't recognize network, and I can no longer gain access to Net w/Belkin G wireless router...however, router will allow temporary access to internet when plugged up anyway (2 Android phones, 2 laptops), but the desktop will not connect.
Recently the home wireless network was upgraded to 802.11n with WPA2-PSK security. There are currently 3 laptops successfully connected and running the internet.
I have a desktop computer that recently had the NIC card upgraded because beforehand no connections were being recognised. Now there are connections being recognised but when I go to connect to the home network (Which has full signal) it begins to connect, it says "Waiting for Network" then after 2 or 3 minutes it just stops, no error message or anything. Ive also tried moving the tower closer to the router but this also does not work, it begins to connect to the network and then stops and says "Unable to connect to wireless network".
Another thing that might be of use, I am unable to access "ipconfig" in the terminal, I type "ipconfig" in run, then the terminal will pop up and close instantly.
My network consists of a main computer connected to Internet via cable and a modem. I also have an xbox 360 connected via the modem's wireless. I am using a netgear wireless adapter for the xbox, I also have another pc in the same room as the xbox, keep in mind the main pc and these others are multiple rooms apart. Now my issue is that the other pc is not recognizing the wireless adapter, and I know the adapter works because I've been using it on the xbox and it works perfectly. Now I went into connect to and it's not showing anything wireless or netgear associated. Also forgot to mention I am using the same adapter for both just unplugging from one and connecting to other.
NAM2-250S v5.1.2 in a 6509 collecting netflow information from a 3845. For some reason RTP traffic is not recognized as RTP by the NAM. It shows up under unknown. I have a NME-NAM-120S in a 2811 running the same 5.1.2 code and it recognizes the RTP traffic including call information. Is that because the netflow data is different than the SPAN that the NME is receiving?
I have a compaw CQ61 that is using the operating system windows 7 64x.
The problem occurred today when logging onto windows. Windows tells me that the connection i have to the router is limited. Other devices i have in the house are capable of connecting to the wifi router. When deleting the connection and trying to reconnect to the router, it brings up the message that it is taking longer than expected to establish a connection and then eventually brings up the message "limited connetion"
When trying to connect the laptop to the router via cable, it doesn't even recognise that it is connected and does not establish a connection.
When using the windows connection troubleshoot, it detects a driver problem with both the wifi adapter and the Lan adapater. Therefore i uninstalled and reinstalled both devices but still suffered the same problem.
When clicking the connection i am attempting to connect to, right click status, details.. everything is in blank, it gives no information regarding to the connection.
Signed in to the network place and have an excellent signal. When I go to internet explorer it says that no way. I have a desk top and Vista. I believe I can probably get there simply if I just know how. I am showing that the wireless is up and ready to go. Have gone to all the tools and control desk.
my laptop stopped recognizing my wireless router out of nowhere. One minute it was connected to the internet, the next it was on and off, I reset it and restarted and it wasn't recognized. Currently only working if Ihave an ethernet cable directly connected from modem to laptop or modem to router/router to laptop.

I set up a network several years ago. The network was to use a printer between an old desktop with XP and a laptop with Vista. This has worked very well until several weeks ago. I would logon to the network on the laptop through the desktop, type in the password and I was good to go. Suddenly the password does not work. The printer works fine through the desktop. We have had several lightening storms in our area recently.
Yesterday I booted up my new custom desktop and today I installed my wireless PCI card. The drivers are installed and it recognizes one or two networks in my vicinity, but my home network and probably about 10 more are not showing up. I tried re installing the drivers but no luck. I was able to get my network to appear about 50% of the time I searched. I also was able to rarely establish a connection, but the speed was extremely slow and was lost in less than a minute.
I HAVE TWO COMPUTERS running Windows Xp that are CONNECTED TO A ROUTER THEN CONNECTED TO A MODEM, COM1 THE INTERNET WORKS FINE, AND IS SHOWING A LAN CONNECTION WORKING, AND INTERNET GATEWAY CONNECTED, AND THE ROUTER SHOWS UP ON THE MY NETWORK PLACES. ALSO MY WIFI WORKS FINE TOO! BUT COM2 CANT SURF THE WEB, IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE ROUTER IN MY NETWORK PLACES, AND THE INTERNET GATEWAY IS NOT SHOWING UP IN NETWORK CONNECTIONS, BUT THE LAN IS, AND IS SHOWING A CONNECTION. i have tried restarting everything, i tried connecting the COM2 straight to the modem, tried new either cables, nothing wrong with my service or modem or router, its just the COM2
So this morning I was planning to reset my router because my internet was feeling a bit laggy. Omce i did, its lights turned on except for the ethernet light. It was working perfectly last night
Ive tried resetting the router a few times with no results
ive ran the Windows troubleshooter with it recognizing that:
The Local Area Connection adapter is disabled: Detected
Have the following set up: cable modem>wifirouter>gigabit ethernet switch>to 16 ports throughout house. When I connect a second wifi router to any port around the house, the internet does not work with connecting to that specific router, however, if I use a lan cable and connect direct with my mac or cpu, internet works fine. wifi routers are not communicating with lag ports
I have a 3750-x switch with module C3KX-NM-10G. In slots 1 and 3 I have GLC-T inserted, no problem. When I try to insert GLC-T into slots 2 or 4, I receive the log messages that are listed below. I can swap/mix and match different GLC-T's in slots 1,2,3, and 4, the SFP's are recognized every time in slots 1 and 3, and are never recognized in slots 2 or 4.
Slots 2 and 4 also double as the Ten Gig interfaces, which we are not using right now.Is there some trick to getting the switch to recognize SFPs in slots 2 and 4? [code]
I need support with the RV215W. It won't recognize a Huawei E398 LTE-Stick (Germany: Telekom Speedstick LTE). According to [URL] the RV215W should support the Speedstick LTE.
Router Firmware: 1.0.1.1 (newest) E398 Firmware: 11.433.61.10.55 (newest from Telekom)
My main networking device is the Ericsson T073G HGU ONT, and when I am connecting to the network through the Ethernet there are no problems. However when I connect my Belkin F6D4230-4 router to it (through cable) my router cannot recognize the modem.
I was having trouble getting printer to work properly-having to reboot each time to print.Uninstalled and re-installed printer software. Now computer not picking up printer wireless info.Tried using wireless configuration tool. Can't get past start to enter correct information in.Could computer picked up an other wireless router in area - not the correct one - and this infor. has locked me out. My new housemate from France has arrived and was going to connect wirelessly to my network. But when he clicks to join the network we are waiting for like 30 mins for the computer to connect. Then when we change the settings for WPA, it doesn't accept the WPA key. We've tried everything and dont know what we might be doing wrong or what settings. He has a Toshiba Satellite and Windows XP.
My linksys router all of a sudden stopped recognizing the 3 LAN lines that are hooked up to it, we are only able to access the internet via wireless. any suggestions on why the router would all of a sudden stop recognizing the LAN lines?
I just bought a Asus PCE-N15 and installed the drivers and utilities but after I restarted the utility told me that I have taken it out of my computer but it was still in there. I have tried all of my PCI slots tried ASUS and Realtek drivers and utilities and uninstalling removing and reinstalling and even contacting costumer support. Costumer support didn't tell me anything but reinstall the drivers.
