1. how can i use 1 line as an active and other line as a failover(when 1 line is down other line should automatically bear the traffic).clear config will be useful. NATTING using MAtch address objects( roughly )
broadband service provider 1: 97.89.X.X 255.255.252.0
broadband service provider 2: 10.0.x.x 255.255.240.0
2. there are only 20 users to set up a voip line now. here we have telecom provider where they should route the traffic to make any international calls( say telecom public ip 200.200.109.110)from lan - wan everything is allowed from wan -lan we have to allow only telcom provider IP(200.200.109.110)

Dec 4, 2011I have some error messages in the Nexus 7000 log, after searching i cannot find an adequate explanation, pretty much the only thing i can find is below and i don’t think it is very relevant to my situation. The device is in production and so reloading and pulling card willy nilly is the last resort.

Feb 5, 2012One of my clients is using Cisco catalyst 2955 industrial switch.I am doing the configuration for them and come across one setting of FCS Error Hysterasis Threshold. I know FCS is Frame Check Sequence.
I do not understand is what is the meaning the setting of Hysteresis in term of percentage stand for what purpose?For example, the default is 10 percent. If I set the value to be lower 5% and what is the impact on that? Is this more stringent than default of 10% or less stringent than default of 10%?

Jul 26, 2011We have a CISCO 7604 Router (GGSN) in our customer site. Since two weeks are observing high CPU utilization (even touching 100 percent). We performed a SNMP configuration on this routers 2 weeks back as well. But SNMP process is not consuming much CPU resources. The following is the output of the "show proc cpu" and "show proc cpu history.

It reloads and keeps asking for password.

Oct 18, 2011I have a 7604 Edge router that connects to our Data centre via Fiber.
but i keep getting input errors on the interface Gi3/5. i also found out that i cannot change the duplex settings on the edge router to auto, i only have two options of full and half and changing it has not worked either.
I have tried to use a switch in between the fiber modem and the edge router to try to manipulate the duplex settings, but when i tried it the port simply shutdown and then i have to reverse the configuration.
The software version of the router is 12.2(33)SRE3, i really need to sort this out as connection to and from the Data centre is quite slow.

When moving to the 7604 with 15.1 IOS there are not any examples of how to set up the stateful failover of the tunnels between devices. We have the devices in the SSO mode are not able to understand how to get the redundancy between the devices functioning.

Dec 20, 2012I have 7604 router with FWSM module in module 3.First of all the FWSM CF has been damaged, not physically. I bought the new same compact flash (size, partnumber, etc.). Downloaded the software 3.2 for FWSM, and ASDM from Cisco website. I realized that the procedure of creating new CF for FWSM is quite diffucult: creating 1-5 partitions, where 1 - is MP, and 4th - application partition. According to cisco documentation - the default boot partition is the 4th, so I partitioned from 7604 the CF into 4 partitions (partition disk1: <1-4> maximum) and copied the software and ASDM to the 4th partition (disk1:3:). Removed the CF from the router and put it into the FWSM module.

Jul 14, 2012i read alot about password recovery , but when i apply it to cisco 7604 it fails ?i went to rommon mode and typed# confreg 0x2142 then i typed reset when the router startup it request a password form me ,i can enter the user mode , and when i type sh ver command i note that the config resgitser is 0x2102 , not 0x2142 !!!!
i could enter the privilage mode !!!! and seems no thing changed ! does this router has a specific password recovery procedure ? which differes than the classic procedure?

The supervisor has all it LED in orange state, there was no blinking of the lights at power on they went straight to orange. Mar 11, 2012I am having a problem with PBR done on a 7604-S router - It seems like it is not done in harware. I have an Iperf client and an Iperf server, and would like to test the performance of 7600 router for PBR, supervisor is RSP720-3C-G and used interface card is 7600-ES20-GE3C ESM20G.
I have read numerous discussions about PBR that is supposed to happen in hardware when you use it with matching access-list and set ip next-hop.Although, when I start the iperf, the 7600 cpu is hitting the 80-90 % boundary, and transfer bandwidth can't go over 120-130 Mbit/s.The IP Policy is applied on an interface part of vrf ONE maybe this is casing the problem... ?

Sep 6, 2011I have 3 ACS servers placed throughout N. America. I it set up so that ACS01 is primary and ACS02 and ACS03 are secondary. When i look at the logs for passed/failed authentications in radius or tacacs I cannot see anything from ACS03 logging. This is weird because just a few weeks ago it worked perfectly. In fact, ACS03 is the most active server since this site is using it for wireless phones and tacacs and the other 2 are just using ACS for wireless networking. I went through the log settings and every server is set up the same as the others (except the primary) so it should be logging ACS03 the exact same as 01 and 02.Anyway it seems like a small problem but i need the logs to work correctly to properly administrate security.

May 10, 2012We recently had to rebuild our ACS server. Now when we have an 802.1x authentication failure and look at the RADIUS logs for the specific user, it does not show us the MAC address of the device the user tried to login with. We use this all the time because users have PDAs and other mobile devices that they save their passwords on. Then when they change their domain password on their laptop, they don't change it on their PDA which then tries to authenticate them using the wrong password and eventually locks them out. We need to see the MAC address so we can pinpoint which device is causing the lockout. The report I am generating is when you go to this location: Monitoring & Reports > ... > Reports > Catalog > User > User_Authentication_Summary
