Cisco WAN :: 877 Doesn't Change Path And Continue Going By Main Route

I have a Cisco router 877. I am trying to configure a backup with ISDN.The primary line is an ADSL over pppoe. The problem is that despite the primary line fails, doesn't change the path and continue going by the main route.I have a very similar setup, also with a cisco 877, but with a normal DSL and it works perfectly.I solved the problem by activating a tracking but is slower than the other method.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with mpls fast reroute. The primary (protected) link is between PE-PE and the backup link is PE-P-PE. The IGP I'm using is OSPF. When there is a issue with the primary link and debug mpls tra tunnels signalling there is a message "LSP-TUNNEL-SIG: TunnelX [237]: re-route path verification failed (protected) [Can't use link x.x.x.x on node x.x.x.x]". After 30 seconds (without ospf tuning) the SPF is recalcalated, but that's not the point From the show mpls tra tunnels tu1013 (the backup one)everything looks ok:
Status:Admin: up Oper: up Path: valid Signalling: connected From show mpls tra fast-reroute database everything is ok, the status is Ready I'm using 7206VXR, Version 12.4(24)T3
Is there a known bug for Nexus 7K version 6.0(4) related to route redistribution?I have few vlan interfaces and being redistributed to the BGP.vlan interfaces are all up ang pingable.After configuring redistribution, vlan route is not in the bgp table.sho ip bgp is saying "path invalid"

I'm studying for a Cisco certification and I'm trying to wrap my head around the routing. I understand how routers work for the most part and how the get updates about networks and how many hops away they are, but I don't get what happens when a router doesn't know the path to a network.
I have extension mobility configured and working fine. Except that when you log into the phone, the phone does not exit back to the main display. To get back you either need to exit out of the menus by pressing exit a few times or press the globe / web button on the phone.
have just set up a WLC 4402 as a Guest WLAN controller on the DMZ of our network. I have successfully managed to get our internal controllers to connect to it, with the exception of 1. it says the control path is up but the data path is down. the other 14 controllers worked fine, and in testing the last one was OK but it is now not working properly. the 2 controllers can ping each other but just won't create the data tunnel. there is a firewall in the middle but that has been set up to allow traffic between the 2 groups of controllers to be unrestricted.
the internal controllers are 4404's and all controllers are running the same version of code. 5.1.151.0.
a) one router with two ethernet interfaces (LANs) and a serial interface. The serial interface is connected to the internet, dynamic nat is used for hosts in the two lans. A web server has a private address of 172.168.50.10 and it is being translated to the internet with serial's interface 68.32.x.x (public ip) with static nat. Clients in the internet type the public address to access the web server.
b)Problem: clients inside the LANs cannot access the web server by typing the public address, they use the server's private address instead, this create a problem with DNS static entries in the HOSTS file in the OS. It is a test server and is only available to authenticated users (lock and key ACLs), so no need to make a real DNS record. The entry in the HOSTS file points to the public address.
c)Question: how can a create a route map to change the public address in the HOST file to the private address of the test web server everytime a user in the LANs type the domain name.
I am advertising the 172.16.10.0 network from R5 to R1 via EBGP. The problem is that on the Router R1 I see the route 172.16.10.0 whith show ip bgp command but in the show ip route don't appear.I thinked that the problem was SYNCHRONIZATION,so that will activated synchronization on the routers R1 and R4 but don't work. Furthermore the routers R2 and R3 neither receive the route via OSPF.
I'm trying to sort out someone else's 800 series router config IOS 12.2 that was just added onto for years and never cleaned up. There are about 10 route map statements near the end. As far as I can tell, only two are being used. Doesn't a route map statment have to be called(referenced) in another statement in order to actually be used such as either under an interface or in a nat statement?
I am trying to configure dual ISP on my ASA5505.I have everything configured and working when eth0/0 is connected, but when I disconnect it, it doesn't route any traffic.The static route for the primary isp is removed and the static route to the backup isp shows up, but no traffic goes in or out. I should note that I'm doing this as a proof of concept so eth0/0 is connected to a router and eth0/1 is connected to another router. [code]
I play a game called Unreal tournament 2k4 in online. I am from Bangladesh a small country from south asia. I used to get 150 ping in a Japanese server. But 2 weeks ago my ping suddenly rise. Now its around 268-320 in same server. But i have 160 ping in another Japanese server. So i used trace-route option from avast IS to check the route of my connection.I found out that the server i am having high ping connects through Italy then to Japanese server. But the server i have low ping goes to Singapore then to Japan.My question is can i change the route of my connection so my first server doesn't take the route of Italy?
We are using a CISCO1921-SEC (ISR) with IOS 15.1 and we configured a "crypto isakmp client configuration group". We can connect with the "Cisco System VPN Client Version 5.0.07.0410" via IPSec/UDP.
1. Is it possible to push routing informations to the System running the VPN Client ? A the moment all traffic is routed to the tunnel but we like only one route to the network permitted with "pool ..." in the "crypto isakmp client configuration group NAME" section.
2. We searched for changing from upd connection to tcp connection via special port. Is it possible with IOS 15.1 on the CISCO1921-SEC ? Is there something possible like "iskamp ipsec-over-tcp port 10000" ?
I've configured an static route in the ASR1001 router with a name with it eg: ip route 172.20.x.x 255.255.0.0 172.20.x.x 255.255.0.0 name To_system_X.i want to change the name without removing the route.
I need to be able to redirect some HTTP traffic to an Ironport WSA (for now) on a DMZ interface, the initial config I'm trying to test is along the lines of the following (don't have access to the ASA at the moment to cut-and-paste):
access-list 101 deny any any neq www access-list 101 deny tcp host 10.0.2.2 any access-list 101 permit tcp any any
route-map proxy-redirect permit 101 match ip address 101 set ip next-hop 10.0.2.2
Unfortunately the ASA does not take the "set ip next-hop" command, I get an invalid input error message and if I at the route map config prompt type "?" only the "metric" and "metric-type" commands are listed as available.
This happens both on 8.2 (ASA5510) and 8.4(2) (ASA5505). Since others are able to make this work, I assume there's something else on the ASA that I have to set to enable this command?
I changed from a Linksys E4200 to a 5505 and when I use trace route, it doesn't return a DNS name for each hop. I can see the hops shown as asterisks. Do I have to add something to inspect for this to work?
My network has two connections to a third party via links on two seperate ASA , one in location A and one in location B. The link in location A is the primary connection and the other in location B should be used by only two terminals (term1, term2) in location B. ASA are running OSPF and are redistributing static routes as metric-type 1 in OSPF. In order to achive the aforementioned goal, I have configured a route-map on ASA location B, that sets the metric for the route towards the third party to a high value (100). This way, all routers, even those in site B prefer the exit through location A (metric about 24).
I have checked that my routers correctly have the route to the 3rd party through location A, and the OSPF database has records for the network from both locations.In location B, I have configured the following route-map (on 6509)
route-map PREFER-LOCAL-ROUTER permit 10 match ip address XXX set ip next hop locationB-ASA int vlanYYYY ip policy route-map PREFER-LOCAL-ROUTER

From the terminals (term1 and term2) I have tried a traceroute towards the 3rd party's subnet, but I don't get any match neither on the access-list nor on the route-map. Unfortunately I have no other way to test that my configuration is correct, since the application on the terminals, that should access the 3rd party network, is not currently running.
I also addedd the statements below to the access-list, because of the test with tracert: permit icmp host term1 route_to_3rd_party 0.0.255.255 permit icmp host term2 route_to_3rd_party 0.0.255.255
Nothing changed...Is there something wrong with the above config? Is there a chance that there is a problem with the IOS, that simply doesn't show any hits?
eth0 is connected to a switch and contains the 192.168.2.0/24 range, and A is connected to my WRT54GL "B" (with IP 192.168.1.1, containing 192.168.1.0/24 range, DHCP serves IPs above .100) wirelessly. B is connected directly to my DSL modem.
The problem is that when I specify the default route using the interface name, I can't connect to the internet from A or any hosts behind it - I'm always hit with a "no route to host" error. Name lookup and pinging any local host (even in a different range) or the DSL modem works fine - it's only when going beyond the modem that things stop working. However, when I use the IP of B as the gateway, it works fine. I noticed that route output on A when the default route was specified using the interface alone had only an asterisk in the gateway column. I was under the impression that these approaches should be identical in practice, so though I got it working, I'd like to know what I'm misunderstanding (and/or misconfiguring). Why didn't the default route work when specified using just the interface?
All routers and the modem too have RIP (version 2) enabled, and of course the password isn't really the word "password".
How come my IP address does not change when i'm using my router.... (TP-link WR340G)But when i connect my DSL directly to my computer it my IP can be changed..... and when i put back my router my IP address is the same.
I planned a discovery of devices for some time, but if I change the parameters of discovery (adding a seed device) in "Discovery Settings Summary", this change does not apply in the scheduled task.

So I'm on the 100mbps virgin fibre optic broadband, and for the past couple of days, every now and again my speed drops drastically. It's not the Internet, because I've tested it on my laptop both wireless and plugged in. Even my phone and iPad are getting higher speed.
When I first got the internet(About a week ago) my download speed was 100+ mbps, but now my Link speed is constantly at 10mbps, even if I set my NIC to 1gbps full duplex, I've tried disabling and re enabling, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, updating drivers. Restarting the router, starting it in Modem mode.
I've been having issues with my DIR-655 - the speeds are super slow. In the past, I've been able to restart the modem, and my speeds would be acceptable, but now a restart doesn't change the speeds I'm getting from speed test.net. I know it has to do with the router, because when I directly connect to the modem, my speeds are great.

We have a ASA5540 and we would like to shutdown the VPN service. To do so, we would like to warn people by sending a message prompt when they logged in using Anyconnect. Message are only working on DA that terminate but not on those who Continue. I have also tried the Checkandmsg fonction but it behave the same way.
Using the quick set up of DIR-600 from the CD, I encounter this message:"Your new router does not appear to be connected properly.Follow these steps:
1)Make sure that your are connecting your new router... 2)Make sure the ethernet cable from your PC is securely... 3)Click Retry to try installing your router again."
I tried all several times and still I end up on that screen message.
My X2000 modem connect only with small speeds Kbps, it's very weak than Linksys WAG54GP2 MBPS. If I put laptop near the modem speed doesn't change.Only change occurs when I change the channel. But it speed down after a while.I set, N connection, security is WPA-personal, tried some different channel, connection 20-40mhz, update the firmware (there is no problem with laptop, with another modem I can connect with 150kb/s speed) And, if I choose auto setup, security change to WPA, If I'm not wrong.

I bought the modem from clearwire but after a period of time cancel internet because price is going up, i get to retain the modem, I live at campus now and i can get free internet by registin my physical adress and model. How can I identify the physical adress to register it in a new network to continue using the modem and pick up the signal with my modem..
I have a Cisco e2500 and I want to extend my network by connecting my old Linkysys G router to it. There are plenty of instructions on the net, and I get all the up to providing a new IP to the second (old) router. As soon as I give it a new IP, I can't connect to it to continue the configuration!For instance, when I change the IP from 192. 168. 1.1 to 192.168.1.2 on the second router, I cant get my browser to hit it and open and admin page. I tried a bunch of values in the last part of the IP, and none work.
It used to work, but just stopped. We have tried to reeinstall but it won't recognize the adapter. I cant click the next button to continue installation. I have changed USB ports and restarted the computer. I have unstalled Norton 360. But it still won't install.
I've enabled antispoof on all interfaces on asa 5510.If you start a traceroute to a network on the default route, everything works, since replies comes to an interface with route 0.0.0.0/0 defined.If you start a tracer route to a network that is NOT on the default route (let's assume coporate MPLS), you only get response from first carrier router, the other are discarded because of anti spoof violation.
I have ICMP inspection and icmp-error inspection enabled.
Here is the current logical routing path of the network I've inherited:ISP_ASA_1800 --- P2P link_ LAN, However, the equipment is setup up in this inefficient physical topology: Internet_ASA_LAN switch --- 1800 --- P2P link_LAN, The 1800 is the default gateway for all LAN hosts. This means that all traffic not destined for the LAN goes first to the 1800 which has routes for the Internet and for the P2P. If traffic is destined for the P2P, this is no problem. If traffic is destined for the internet, then in my opinion this is an inefficient routing path because the traffic ends up doing this:LAN host > switch > 1800 > back to the same switch > ASA > Internet, So I am thinking of setting up the physical topology to match the logical topology like this:Internet, ASA_1800 ---- P2P link_LAN switch_LAN hosts This means I will connect the 1800 and ASA directly to one another. Am I on the right track? Is this the best way?
