I've recently bought a new Cisco 877V-K9, but i've a problem with connecting. When powering up the modem only the "OK"-led is green, but the rest of the leds are off.
My computer is connected with FE0.
I have a problem with my Cisco 887V VDSL-router. The router gets a ip-address with dhcp from my provider. That works fine. I also can ping from the router:

I have cisco 887V (CISCO887V-SEC-K9) router. I am not sure it will work as Access Point or not. It does not have any external antennas installed. I checked on website and found that all Cisco 887V routers have option of Access Point and also found that the software ap801-k9w7-tar.124-10b.JY.tar,can be used for access point.

I just bought the e1000 router today and I'm already having trouble. I got it setup the first time and all my computers set up with it and it works fine for internet. Everything is snappy and responsive and I don't have any of the problems I did with my old belkin. However, I am unable to connect to the router using cisco connect or the web interface. I need to forward ports, configure wireless security, etc etc. All I did was disable the guest account through cisco connect, and then when the software just sat there doing nothing with the spinning circle in the middle, I opened task manager and killed the process to get it to go away. Now I can't connect using either cisco connect or the web interface.

I set up the internal and external ports to 3389 using both TCP and UDP protocols with the Application as "Remote Desktop". From my work PC I enter the external IP with :3389 and it fails to connect. It worked perfectly, but when I returned home I found my laptop could no longer connect to the home network, it just says it cannot connect, but all the over devices in the house work. My laptop can still connect to the internet via an ethernet cable but this isnt practical at home. At first I can connect to Internet for 1 min and fails afterwards even if I reconnect to the router. Then I turn on the Access Control settings on my (NETGEAR) router and put my laptop into the trusted wireless stations list, now it can connect to Internet for 1 min and fails however it works for another 1 min if i reconnect to the router. So now I need to reconnect to the router every minute or so.I can connect to the Internet via Ethernet cables, so I am quite sure it's the wireless problem on my router but not the service provider's fault.

I have a new broadband connection and I was kinda facing problems connecting wirelessly with my router.So I did go to my router page and then cloned my MAC book's mac id, and it worked fine. I'm able to connect to the internet wirelessly. However, I can't connect to internet from an Windows XP lappy. I have removed, re-added the network, the network is very much identified but the laptop doesn't wanna connect to the internet wirelessly.Both the laptops MAC Book pro and Dell(the one which has XP loaded) were able to connect without any problem in the previous ISP's case but XP doesn't wanna connect to with the new ISP.

ASA 5505 Site A connects to ASA 5505 Site B S2S VPN, both has static IP address.
Now I need to change from ISP so that I can get more internet bandwidth, but the new ISP only has dynamic IP address.
Now I need to change Site B's config to use dynamic IP and still connect to Site A and establish a S2S VPN.
How can I do this?I want the ASA 5505 to change its IP daily so that the VPN connection is still up even if the ISP at site B changes its IP. Or a way to do this automatically as I don't have anybody at site B that can do this manually for me.

So I've got a IPv6 tunnel with Hurricane Electric and it's currently physically segmented off of my home network. A 1841 terminates the tunnel and if I want to use it I need to plug into a port thats on a VLAN with no SVI and connect outbound to test IPv6 stuff. I'd like to give access to some other users and Im wondering if 6 over 4 tunneling with AnyConnect will work for that. My thought was that they could terminate on my main firewall (5505) and then terminate their VPN session in another vlan which was connected to the IPv6 router. I have this config working right now with IPv4 and I can browse out but Im struggling with the IPv6 support piece. The admin guides from Cisco seem to indicate that I'll need to configure IPv6 addressing on the ASA which makes sense, but doesnt fit my current design.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just wired my house and have a cisco 2950 switch running in the basement. every rj45 jack in the house works with everything except one computer. we have a HP with an nforce 4 chipset. this computer was connected through a hub and to a netgear router using the wires in the walls, the same wires and ends this switch is connected trough now. This computer stoped detecting a connection when we moved it off the hub and to the switch. all the ends and punch downs are using B wiring pinout. I have tried a new cable, when i plug any cable from the wall jack to this laptop it works, when i move the same cable to the HP it does not detect any cable plugged into it. when i setup ICS on this laptop it will connect and does detect the connection with the same cable running from the wall jack to the HP that it previously did not detect.perhaps the HP wants to use the 2 pairs that are other wise dormant? im about to install a new nic and see what that does but i can not understand why the Nforce nic would not connect to a cisco switch

It's been a while since I have done this. When I check the DHCP address received from the VPN, the default gateway is missing. IIRC, that is normal. What is strange is that when I ping, Windows does not show any sent packets.

I have a PIX 501 that I used to be able to connect to just fine. Now I cannot get the PDM to come up Inside, Outside, Nothing. I am using the same(old) version of JAVA 1.4 that I have always used. I can Telnet etc.. just fine. The HTTP server is enabled and have granted access to from my IP's.
